Based on the discussion about your titles in other regions, you appear to have involvement in many parts of NS. What leads you to come to TEP at this time and what leads you to want to join the Magisterium at this time? |

An interesting question. As for my coming here blame Xoriet. The way she talked about the region it somehow intrigued me. I enjoy NS law, I enjoy writing it, talking about it, arguing it, debating it etc... And also from my talks with Juris about the legal structure here it just... intrigued me.As for joining the Magisterium, well I said it up there, I enjoy NS law. I have been in a wide variety of regions in terms of there progress on there legal structure and each one is different, have there own customs, way of doing things, way of wording legislation etc... So when it comes down to it I am not only interested in being a legislator I am also interested in legislating and some might even say that I enjoy it which I do. Hmmm I sense a pattern here GE. ![]() Proposed Amendment to the Standing Order of the Standing Orders of the Magisterium Section One: I know it may sound silly coming out of me since I'm on the outside looking in currently but I completely agree with Ramaeus, no region should practice the isolationist view that Prussia seems to be preaching with his proposal. TEP should welcome new citizens regardless of where they are from. After all a region can't grow if it doesn't get new blood in, just keeping the old blood in without any new will prove detrimental in the long term on a vast scale. Treaty Between TEP and TP: This is the other area that I shine, Foreign Affairs. I like it, very standard treaty that can be built from in the future if both regions are willing. Treaty of Amity between Osiris and TEP: I can only echo my sentiments from the previous treaty. Second Education Act: I like it, I am in two regions with a successful education system, one similar and one dissimilar and they both work. I much look forward to seeing this in action considering it passes. Term Limits: I am mixed on this, while yes I think it's great because it keeps new ideas floating through since the same guy or gal won't be in office over and over again like other GCR's have it also takes away to some degree (if a small one) the stability of having that constant power base. I would probably support it in the end. TEP-TNP Security Treaty: I like it, same comments as before and then some. I'm a big fan of r3n and Abacathea and of the choice of McM as Foreign Minister and think that a relationship there, (as I do between all GCR's) to have the ability to be fruitful. Do tell me if I missed anything. |

What other regions are you involved in, and what roles do you hold in these? What stance do you hold on r/d? How do you want this stance to affect tep? Edited by hobbes, May 19 2014, 10:29:09 AM.

Can't help you with the dougie Tano. And as for my career in TEP I do doubt that I would become delegate but eventually I can see myself either making it onto a delegates cabinet or working my way onto the conclave as an Arbiter. Now to answer your first question Hobbes I will first ask you if you even looked at my public disclosure form. But now I'm going to answer your question. In The New Galactic Empire (which I do consider my home region) in terms of the Government I am a close advisor to the Emperor in my capacity as Praetor and I also handle integration, recruiting, and naturalization, as well as handling approving/turning applications for estates on the forum. In United Kingdom at current I serve as the Secretary of Defence and serve as a Member of Parliament. In The Kingdom of Great Britain I sit in the House of Lords, sit as the Lord High Chancellor in the Lords, and also serve as a Law Lord (granted our case load is far from heavy ). In Osiris I sit as Counselor General (head defence attorney in the government) and serve on the Deshret (legislature). Don't think I'm missing anything here.As for R/D I identify myself as an Imperialist. Yes I am part of Albions military and yes I have done things with the UIAF. But I have also played on the defender side of the field and yes serve as the head of a defender army over in United Kingdom. But I like it when regions identify as "independent". Meaning the don't identify on either side of the R/D spectrum but also don't identify as neutral because in my mind that simply means that they don't care about it and hence won't be much use as an ally. As an independent you are free to help allies as you see fit and also are free to raid and defend as it suits your regions best interests without being tied down to one ideology or the other. I would like to see TEP to act as an independent, from what I can see y'all do. I have worked with EPSA before in joint operations (this was like one time mind you ) and it was a raid. But y'all also have a self proclaimed defender at the head of EPSA in General Xoriet Montressor (yes she's one of my best friends in NS in spite of our R/D differences ). So from what I can see y'all do tend to identify as independent even if y'all call it regionalism or what have you. Hope I answered both of your questions sufficiently, if not feel free to ask a follow up.

Since you're a member of so many regions, how can you guarantee that A) You'll always be 100% loyal to TEP and B) You're never going to tamper with internal TEP affairs to benefit another region you're involved in |

I'll answer your questions in order. If you know me I have a track record. I serve regions I am in faithfully and to the best of my ability. I don't betray regions. It's simple. When I join a region and I am entrusted to be a legislator I do so with the regoins best interests in mind. Not any other region. It is always my goal to ensure whatever region I'm in advances and becomes a better place. |
