Can we finish the citizen's or nation's rights debate once and for all? We can also benefit from more rights, does anyone have any ideas for new ones? Perhaps we can better define the ban on nobility of other regions?

Regarding the ban on nobility: the established precedent seems to be that it's acceptable to have a noble title outside of the region, so long as you don't use the title within the region. Perhaps codifying that precedent into the Concordat may clarify things. If not, then we're seemingly excluding a tremendous amount of talented players based on events that happened five years ago. Events that they probably didn't participate in.

Could just write that section as follows.
On other parts of the Rights of Citizens.
Ummm so why is that in there? Is that for RP purposes? Edited by Vaculatestar, Jun 29 2014, 11:57:28 PM.

Yes, I believe its' intentions relate to roleplaying, ie: RP federations. However, arbiters have applied it to gameplay, such as when they overturned the Defender Act, iirc.

If we start listing some rights, then we must include *every* little right. Best to keep it vague and let the courts decide if someone has the right to do something on a case by case basis.

OK thanks for the clarification. And if nobody has an issue with how I worded the nobility part of this part of the consty then perhaps add that to the list of stuff the magisterium is gonna vote on? |

I assume you mean something like the Ninth Amendment?

Basically the ninth, yes, is what I believe in. Here's a list of Prussia ranking the amendments 1)1 2)2 (MURIKA) 3)10 4)4 5)5 and so on

With regard to: "And no citizen shall be given preferential treatment" as a result of having a title, citizens are already "equal" so it seems unnecessary. Secondly I think the current clause regarding noble titles shouldn't be changed. I don't want to pick on Vaculatestar, but if you've accepted a foreign title isn't it illegal? This is obviously not the place for this, but I am curious. |
