It is said that over 300,000 people are attending the rally in Minsk, with another 3,000,000 attending in Vitebsk, Mogilev, and Gomel. This is the largest National day of Prayer in 10 years. Our second story, as we mentioned above as well, is that Prime Minister Slava Kuznyetsova was sworn in this morning by Supreme Court Chief Justice Aleksander Nigmatulin. The Oath was Preformed before the 300,000 people attending the prayer meeting and immediately following it, Prime Minister Kuznyetsova said a prayer before the people and announced the official start to the day of prayer. It is worth noting that Slava Kuznyetsova happens to be the first Female Prime Minster of Respublika Bielarus. She will pick her cabinet of Ministers in the coming days. Our next story is in regards to the Presidency which has yet to be filled. Since there is no Speaker of the House yet, the Minister of Defense, Andrei Ravkov, will take the position until the conclusion of next weeks election. He was sworn in this morning as well and gave an address of condolence to the family of the late President Alexander Matinov, in which he called him a good man who always put his country and family before anything else. Our final story, tomorrow is the remembrance day of the assassination of the former Prime Minister Kirill Lavrov. Kirill Lavrov served from 1992-1997, oversaw the signing of the Bielarus Peace Accords following the civil war, and led the First Economic and Religious reformation. He was assassinated following giving a speech regarding the peace accord. That's all for now folks. Tune in tonight for updates regarding politics and the national day of prayer. God bless from Respublika Bielarus! |

Good Evening East Pacific! This is your favorite newscaster Svetlana Konstatinov bringing you the nightly news update. As my co-worker, Aleksander Romanevich mentioned this morning, today was the National Day of Prayer across the Republic. Over 3.5 million people turned out for the event worldwide. Schools across the nation held prayer meetings throughout the day. Over 300,000 people attended the prayer rally in Independence Square in Minsk where Prime Minister Slava Kuznyetsova led by giving a speech after being sworn in. Many people in the region said they felt a close connection to Christ and that they are proud our nation still allows it to occur. Our breaking news story, the regions of Brest and Gomel have seceded from the country. The People's Revolutionary Army took over the capital of Brest of Gomel and killed the remaining government leaders in the region. The Governors and Prime Ministers of the regions had already escaped. Prime Minister Slava Kuznyetsova issued a State of Emergency and ordered for soldiers to march down and block the regions entirely. The Naval bases in the south of the country still remain in control of the Government forces and have ordered to not surrender. Acting Minister of Defense, Alexandra Ryabova, issued the following statement from the Ministry of Defense HQ in Minsk, "We are appalled by the actions taken by the PRA. They are terrorist bent on destroying our country and sanctity of life. We refuse to negotiate with them and will see to it that our lands are restored by force if necessary. We issue a 24 hour ultimatum to their leaders saying that if they do not surrender, we will invade. May God bless our soldiers on the front line and our citizens trapped behind dictatorial regimes." Special forces have been mobilized due to the Marines, Coast Guard, and Border Guard restructuring not yet being complete. The Prime Minister has promised to continue the dream of the President of a better army. That is all for now. We hope that the nations of the world will wake up and realize the terrorist threat that is imposed upon us. |

Good afternoon this is Aleksander Romanevich with your daily news from Respublika Bielarus! Happening now: The Army and Air Force of Respublika Bielarus has began to attack the Gomel and Brest Regions, following their Government's takeover by the People's Revolutionary Army. Yesterday, Minister of Defense Alexandra Ryabova, gave a 24-hour ultimatum to the PRA's "Government" that controls the regions now. The PRA was not given a chance to respond to the ultimatum and the Army and Air Force were given the green light to invade. The Air Force has been striking at major cities such as Brest and Gomel itself. The Army overthrew the "Border Guards of the PRA" and has launched a full out assault. The Air Force has as well dropped supplies and units to the Navy that is trapped behind the breakaway regions. Prime Minister Slava Kuznyetsova announced her first three choices for Cabinet of Ministers today and they were immediately approved by the Parliament. The Three positions that are now filled are as follows: Minister of Defense-Alexandra Ryabova Minister of Economics-Elnur Yakovlev Minister of External/Foreign Affairs-Mehriban Matinova. These positions were immediately filled as stated above. Mehriban Matinova happens to be the wife of the late-President Alexander Matinov. She said that she wanted to serve her country in a way that she never thought she could and wanted to continue to instill the values of her husband in the country. Today is the Bielarusian Remembrance day for the assassination of Prime Minister Kirill Lavrov. All living Prime Minister's from before his service and since his service attended the commemoration in the capital. All of them gave a speech saying how he influenced them in their positions and how much he did for the country. Prime Minister Slava Kuznyetsova gave a resounding speech in which she said, "Prime Minister Kirill Lavrov was the Father of Modern-Bielarus. He helped to end the civil war like no other leader had done. No one will ever be like Mr. Lavrov was. His memory will live on in the hearts of all Bielarusians until our nations end." Candidates for President have until Monday morning to turn in their entry. The election has been pushed back another week to give time for campaigning. But so far here are the nominees: All Bielarusian Union Fatherland Party-Slava Matinova, sister to the late Alexander Matinov. Conservatives of Bielarus-Tatiana Smeyukha. Labor Party of Bielarus-Kirk Cocheran Independent Party of Bielarus-Kirill Lavrov, Jr. This is all for now. Thank you for tuning in. |

Good Evening East Pacific! This is Svetlana Konstatinov bringing you the nightly news. Our top story tonight, the Region of Gomel was retaken fully today and the PRA leaders in the region were executed. Prime Minister Slava Kuznyetsova traveled to the city of Gomel and raised the Bielarus flag once again at City Hall. She has promised to rebuild the city and the region. Our second story, Parliament has sent to a referendum a change in the Constitution. The proposed change is to where the Prime Minister becomes the head of Government and the president becomes Head of State. Tomorrow the Referendum will take place and we will know if Mrs. Kuznyetsova will become the First Prime Minister Head of Government and First Female Head of Government. Our next story, a law was passed by Parliament and signed by President Andrei Ravkov that will hold off the swearing in of the President until next January and the Election until November, thus giving the candidates enough time to campaign. If the Referendum on the PM being the Head of Government is passed tomorrow, then the Presidency will become vacant until such time as the election occurs. Our final story for the night, 11 other cabinet members have been appointed, leaving 1 position left to be filled. We are not sure who received what position yet but we will let you know as soon as we get the information. That's all for now. We wish you have a blessed night and a blessed Tuesday. |

Good evening East Pacific!!! This is Aleksander Romanevich with the nightly news!! Campaigning for the Presidential election will begin on Monday. While at this time we cannot reveal any names, we know that at least 20 people are running for office. The people will vote in November and decide who will become President. Parliament passed a new law today which made Latvian(latviešu), Lithuanian(lietuvių) and Estonian(Eesti) as official languages of the Republic of Bielarus. This means that they will be used in Acts of Parliament, public relations, jobs, and in schools. It is expected to be written into the Constitution soon. The Brest and Gomel sieges have officially ended and all political and military opponents crushed. The casualty rate for the enemy was nearly 15,000 while for the Bielarus soldiers it total around 450. The Prime Minister said that every family would be given a total of 400,000 rubles to help them be able to cover expenses for medical bills and funerals. That is all for now folks. Enjoy your evening, be safe, and God bless. |

Good Evening East Pacific!!!! This is Svetlana Konstatinova bringing you the nightly news. Our top story tonight, Parliament is having a closed session to vote on who to accept as member of the Cabinet of Ministers. 12 positions are up for grabs but only a 5 are expected to be appointed. The reason for the small number of approval is that the 5, who cannot be mentioned, have held jobs in these regions, while all the others are believed to have no knowledge of their jobs and are just there to fill the positions. We will inform you of the approvals and nominations as we receive word. The Council of the Republic was dissolved earlier today by Prime Minister Slava Kuznyetsova. The reason cited was that the Council has not met in over 3 months time and that new members are needed to fill the void. Elections for the council will take place next Tuesday, seeing as Monday is a national holiday. As mentioned above, Monday is Bielarus Restoration Day, aka, the Day that Repsublika Bielarus because a Republic and all the Regions joined together. This is the 100th Restoration Day and will be commemorated with festivals, concerts, and a military parade. We also have a breaking news story: The Presidents of Mogilev, Vitebsk, and Grodno have signed an act declaring Swedish, Danish, and Norwegian as official regional recognized languages of these regions. The reason stated is that there are large populations in these regions that speak these languages. We don't have exact figures but it is assumed that in Mogilev around 35% of the 1.7 million people speak at least one of these if not two of them. In Vitebsk it is believed that around 50% speak Norwegian bringing that total to around 4.6 million. In Grodno, having only a total of 750,000 people in all, around 12% speak one of these languages, so it is believed that this is a good decision to present ethnic equality. That is all for now. We will bring you updates as soon as we get them. |

Now this is no easy feat seeing as many of them have to be translated from different languages. Elections to the Council of the Republic are expected to begin on Tuesday and the results could be revealed as early as Friday. While the Council is dissolved, the House takes over all responsibility of the Legislative Government. That is all the news we have for now. Tak for joining us today. |
