IN THE NEWS TODAY:
10/22/16
For the first time in a decade, a border skirmish has not happened for four consecutive days.
The Chamber has voted to build a new set of biodomes to account for the sudden increase in population. The increase is likely due to the surge of immigrants fleeing Yasteria, in fear of becoming a Pax Drone. Although Tuvaltastan has not received as many immigrants as its northern neighbors, the increase was enough to spark the vote.
After studying the Cama, scientists have deduced that it is not sterile, which could lead to a new form of livestock, if another Cama is born with the same traits.
The Avut guerrilla militants have recaptured the base of operations in Avut Isle, pushing the Tuvalt Government back north.

IN THE NEWS TODAY:
10/22/16
The border patrol that was established 15 days ago has resulted in the longest-lasting period of time without a border skirmish in Tuvalt history. The CiC spoke today about the accomplishment, stating that she, "hope that it will lead to better relations and lessened tensions between the former Kostuv Territories." The border patrol officers also had their own celebration, with a small party that took place on the border between Kostromastan and Tuvaltastan.
The construction of the new set of biodomes has begun on the outskirts of Kemerovo, where most immigrants have set up their new lives.
25 dead, 19 injured in Novosibirsk fire at a Novo Bank. Firefighters and law enforcement believe it was arson. The NPD head had this to say: "This terrible tragedy may not be the last one of its kind. We implore all Tuvalt citizens to look out for any suspicious behavior, which includes the purchasing of large amounts of flammable material, people with lit matches, et cetera. Be careful out there; we will do our best to stop this from happening again." Currently, no one has come forward with a description of any potential suspects, although the owner of the bank has been taken into custody until the owner's potential motive of monetary gain has been ruled out.

IN THE NEWS TODAY:
11/20/16
Today is Mendelov Day! And people are gathered in the streets to parade in honor of a brave woman who sacrificed herself for our country. Without her courage, our now-bustling capital would not be here today. So go out and thank Mendelov! We wouldn't be here without her.
Yet another fire has broken out in yet another Novo Bank, in Kemerovo. 5 people were unable to escape their shelter, and perished in the flames. Three more have serious burns, while the other 11 people got out safely. Police are now certain of the arsonist's M.O. The Colonel of the Military had this to say: "We will most likely capture this heathen within the next sixty days. Don't forget to look out for suspicious behavior. Keep your kids away from the Novo Bank, as the arsonist pinpoints Novo Banks. Please don't however, not go to the Novo Bank, as that would reduce competition; capitalism and whatnot."

IN THE NEWS TODAY:
12/4/16
The Commander-In-Chief has just stated in a news conference the Tuvalt Government's position on the SEPCF-Fire Pact Feud: "The Democratic States of Tuvaltastan will do what it deems best for the Tuvalt people, meaning we will not be declaring war on either the Fire Pact or the SEPCF. Our people have gone through too much heartache in the past forty years; we will not get ourselves into another war that will likely shed blood, unless we absolutely have to." The CIC continued to discuss other matters such as the ongoing conflict on Avut Isle and the visa policy towards Baykalia and Kostromastan.
The Novo Bank Arsonist has finally been caught, after two more cases following the same M.O. The woman responsible was Loria Veritus, who stated while being rushed into a police car that "The Novo Bank is out to get us! We must burn them before they can destroy us all! You must listen to me! They're gonna-" at this point what she said was unintelligible , due to the police car door closing on her.

As such, the Navy, Aero Force, the Army, as well as the Subterran Forces, have unanimously agreed to retreat from any positions should any threat to the lives of Tuvaltis exist."

IN THE NEWS TODAY:
12/11/16
BREAKING NEWS: Both Stratarin, representing the SEPCF, and Tripartite State, representing the Fire Pact, have declared war on their respective opponents. Tuvaltastan recently had joined the SEPCF, with the CiC stating Tuvalts themselves will not be in the line of fire. Currently, the Tuvalt navy is surrounding the area of ocean just outside of the Gondwanan Gulf, so as to inhibit the trade of Rybeck and Tripartite State. "The decision by the CiC was a mistake; eventually, the rest of SEPCF will make our people go to war, whether we like it or not!" These were the words of major critic of Mrs. Petrovavich, Wortolovi Yortov.
The Trial of Loria Veritus has begun. The press was not allowed in the court, however, but we will keep you informed when new information comes in.
The Foundation for A Gooder World has just recently announced it has raised altogether 73,000,000CR this fiscal year. All funds are used for development of a cure for multiple diseases and the elimination of poverty, just to name a couple of the numerous things this fantastic Foundation is. The FGW was founded in Novokuznetsk in 2011, and ever since has seen a huge spurt in monetary growth, allowing it to establish locations outside of Tuvaltastan.

IN THE NEWS TODAY:
12/14/16
BREAKING NEWS: The Conflict between SEPC and the Fire Pact was ended today with a ceasefire enacted by The Serene Republic of Stratarin. The ceasefire was executed primarily due to both sides not wanting any major powers such as the Northern Gondwanan Union (who recently threatened to forcibly remove any citizens of SEPC and the Fire Pact), the Vekaiyun Union, or the immensely powerful Pax-Draconia. Thankfully, no Tuvalts were killed in the war, all thanks to CiC Petrovavich.
A few days ago, the Emberitian Space Station the Myriad was destroyed in an explosion caused by the Tripartite State's Military. Today, the lead astronaut aboard the TSS2 offered to supply food and shelter to any survivors who may be out there.

IN THE NEWS TODAY:
5/22/17
Current leader of Baykalia Lady Posol has just announced her plan to, in her words, "Restore the people's confidence in their government" by what she calls the Government Reinvestment Act. Remis Slorov, a political analyst speculates that Mrs. Posol and her Council are attempting to take control of Baykalia politically. During the speech, Mrs. Posol also announced her plan to remove Baykalia from the Auroran Continental Assembly (ACA). This will remove all obligations that Baykalia has to the ACA, should the act pass through the already Posol-controlled legislature.
In other news, The Republic of Xagrurg has occupied islands south of Kostoria-Obertonia and Xagrurg. According to Xagrurgian news outlets, the Xagrurgian military is working on establishing a civilian government on the islands. Many Tuvalts have reacted to this action, with Secretary of Foreign affairs Alyona Petrovavich condemning the invasion, while Nationalist Party of Tuvaltastan (NPT) leader Ivan Lorovich stated that the invasion was, "Justifiable and should be supported by Tuvaltastan."
The situation in Chianski has been at a standstill for almost half a year now, with the Adumaran blockade still being implemented. The blockade was first executed to punish and intimidate Chianski, a supporter of a terrorist group in Latianburg known as Al-Jaheed, which has been terrorizing Latians in recent times.

IN THE NEWS TODAY:
5/30/17
BREAKING:
- The Federation of Kuthernburg, along with her commonwealth, have officially declared war on a group known as the Greater Xagrurgian Empire. The Greater Xagrurgian Empire (GXE), a group headquartered in Imperium, have been part of a larger effort to resist the Xagrurgian occupation of the islands. As recently as May 27th, the GXE managed to intercept and cease the Xagrurgian National News Network's broadcasting. A day after their interception, the GXE made this announcement: "This is the Greater Xagrurgian Empire Military. All media are to be suspended until mainland Xagrurg is united under our High Commander Erwin Pipua in order to prevent any leaks to any enemies of the state. Report any disssenters to your local GXE military outpost. That is all." Many in Tuvaltastan are calling for the Tuvalt government to intervene in the occupation, with city-wide protests flooding the streets of Novosibirsk, Shagonar, and Port Barnaul, among others. Speaker of the Hall Vera Avorov held a press conference today, and had this to say about the occupation: "The Xagrurgian occupation of Yor was a terrible endeavor to partake that has resulted in a humanitarian crisis the likes of which hasn't been seen in that area since the Auroran Imperial War. I call on all Auroran Continental Assembly members to send humanitarian aid to the men, women, and children in Yor who are deeply affected by this crisis." She later announced her plan to propose to the Hall the formation of a Humanitarian Aid Committee.
- The terror group known as Al-Jaheed has been condemned and ridiculed for their human rights violations, yet the Auroran Continental Assembly members have yet to declare war on them, as it is stated in the ACA Charter that "Should any entity outside the Auroran Continental Assembly attack a member of the Auroran Continental Assembly unprovoked, all national militaries of the members of the Auroran Continental Assembly will declare war on said entity." Secretary of Foreign Affairs Alyona Petrovavich had this to say during a news conference yesterday: "Portions of the ACA Charter have yet to be ratified by every nation on Aurora, the non-aggression pact being one of them. The Hall has been racking its brain over whether the non-aggression pact should be ratified, which means that Tuvaltastan is not yet obligated to declare war on Al-Jaheed. I personally believe we should attack and kill this cancerous tumor on our peaceful continent before it's too late, but I do not have the ability to declare war." Mrs. Petrovavich a few hours earlier proposed declaring war to the Hall. The proposition is still up for vote.
- In other news, the Posol Family has just announced a massive mega-project for the capital city of Chita: The coastal slum of Korbova will be gentrified into a large financial center, surrounded by a massive circular park. Mrs. Posol claims that the mega-project will "further boost the Baykalian economy by creating more jobs for the poor." The project is set to begin in 2018.
- Several officials from The Confederation of Kostromastan have reported that many of their social accounts have been compromised, resulting in large amounts of information on those officials to be leaked onto the internet. One such official stated that "These leaks will not result in the Kostrom Government to be compromised, but I'm certain that many people affected by the hack may be out of the public eye for a long time."

BREAKING:
- Speaker of the Hall's proposal for the formation of a Humanitarian Aid Committee has passed with a vote of 29-18. The speaker has expressed her deepest gratitude to the current members of the Hall, stating that this vote, "is a significant step towards a more diplomatic and peaceful Tuvaltastan. I hope that this committee will send aid to those in Yor and Imperial Fandom so that our continent may prosper once more." The committee consists of 10 members from the Hall, all of which voted in favor of the committee's formation. There are talks that the committee is planning an aid proposal for The Dominion of Yor. This committee will also be in charge of proposing refugee programs.
- The coalition between Ethalria and The GXE have already caused great harm in the international community, in particular the Staynish monarchy, assassinating the heir to the throne. Distraught, the current Staynish monarch spoke out against the Ethalrians and GXE: "My son was killed today...He was a good man. He never intended wrong. He was getting married next year. But the terrorists took that away from him. They took my son away from me. They took our future King away from us. The terrorists were traced back to the Ethalrian government, as I have been informed. My government has informed me that this is a clear act of war against Ethalria. We will not allow them to terrorize us any longer." Political analyst and TBN contributor Ivanov Lorovanovich stated that "his speech suggests that the Staynish government will declare war on Ethalria." Commander-In-Chief Petrovavich's proposal failed to gain the necessary votes in the Hall so that Tuvaltastan would go to war against Al-Jaheed, but the Hall announced its plans to send military aid to the Staynish government.
- The ongoing civil war in Imperial Fandom has just reached a new pinnacle, with many heirs to the throne being assassinated by the fandoms within the Confederation. There are only a select few royals who have survived the genocide of the royal family, that list including but not limited to Queen Xenia, her children, and Xenia's sister Xenala, who has declared herself Queen of the northern plains of Imperial Fandom.
- Scientists within the city of Tula, Kostromastan have developed what they call "a viable alternative to the vaccine needle." Similar to a bandage in size and shape, the vaccine patch developed in Tula purportedly claims to yield the same results as a generic needle, but without the fear of needles many people have. "It is our hope that the vaccine patch will replace the needle in the future," says Boris Yelova, one of the many people who helped develop this new innovation.

- Four weeks ago, The Kostrom state of Volgodalov proposed to the Cabinet a declaration of war against the Allied forces. Today, the Confederation of Kostromastan has voted to declare war, with a 4-3 vote in favor. In response, the nations Tretrid and Asendavia have both annulled all diplomatic discussions and agreements. Along with this, both nations have removed their Kostrom embassies from their nations, giving Kostromastan a warning that their ambassadors were no longer welcome, and had one day to leave the nations.

 IN THE NEWS TODAY:
8/14/17
BREAKING:
- This morning, thousands of Kostrom citizens filled the streets in protest of the declaration of war on a fellow ACA member, the Staynish-Caltharus Empire. From Volgoda to Astrakhan, protesters blocked every major avenue around the City/Provincial governments, causing serious disruptions in the politicians' everyday goings-on. A representative from Novgoroda, who wishes to be anonymous, remarked that the protests, "really got in our way of getting things done. Not just our ability to run the governments of Kostromastan, but also everyday people who need to get to work, and kids needing to get to school. I understand these people's concerns and worries, but we really need to get things done here in the capital." Many political analysts have noted that Kostromastan declaring war on the SCE was a political disaster, and should not have been passed. The declaration was passed with a close vote of 4-3, with historically-indecisive province Nolov being the tie-breaking vote in the end, after numerous hours of debate and discussion within Nolov on whether to declare war or not.
- Turning further north to Baykalia, leader Lady Posol has just announced that Baykalia will begin severing all diplomatic ties with, in her own words, "any nation not based primarily on the great continent of Aurora, excluding those nations that share the same governmental and political leanings as the glorious nation of Baykalia." This further solidifies and reinforces Lady Posol's power within the nation. Previously, Mrs. Posol had began the process of removing Baykalia from the Auroran Continental Assembly, the first nation to do so since its founding in 1975. Baykalia had joined the ACA four months after its independence from Kostuvastan in July of 2006.
- In light of the humanitarian crises devastating the nation, Queen Xenia of Imperial Fandom has requested humanitarian aid from the Peacekeeping Forces of Urth, officially breaking the nation's decades-long silence from the international community. Having been in a civil war since 2008, Imperial Fandom's leadership has been eerily silent until now. From the request sent to the Peacekeeping Forces of Urth, it seems that Queen Xenia regrets not requesting aid sooner, having caused thousands to die in the process. If accepted, this aid request should result in drastic reductions in fatalities on every side.
- The so-called Auroran-Pacific War has been going on for several months now, with the GXE ramping up their military spending to worrying levels. Political analysts remark that this increase in spending will only delay the GXE's impending defeat in the war, with many hoping this war will be over by the end of this year. However, there is no telling just how far the GXE will go to keep its head above the water.

BREAKING:
- Within the past few days, the cities of Shagonar and Omsk have seen a worrying rise in doctor's visits, with many of these visits having been concerned with the same symptoms: Nausea and Vomiting, Diarrhea, Headache, and Fever, with some reporting loss of hair and weakness/fatigue. It had been a worrisome mystery why these people were getting sick, when news of a nuclear reactor meltdown spread reached TBN and the Tuvalt government. "It saddens me to see that people in our country are getting sick from a casualty of war, and we will do everything in our power to help those who have been affected by this meltdown," said Commander-in-Chief Alyona Petrovavich during a news conference this morning. Later today, Mrs. Petrovavich proposed to the Hall a plan to send funding and personnel to assist in the meltdown cleanup. The vote will be held on September 3rd. The Tuvalt government, in light of the nuclear meltdown, is quickly distributing potassium iodide to the inhabitants of the affected areas, so as to minimize radiation poisoning, along with advertisements on what to do when you believe you have radiation poisoning.
- After Queen Xenia requested foreign aid from the Peacekeeping Forces of Urth, the PKFU immediately accepted the request, and began working with Xenia and her colleagues on establishing a ceasefire, as well as 21 refugee camps which will supply any refugees and IDP's with food, safety, shelter, water, and employment opportunities, as well as rehabilitation programs. A massive undertaking by the PKFU, the organization will also spend the foreseeable future working to improve the economy, infrastructure, and civil society.
- The Auroran-Pacific War, the most devastating war on the Auroran continent since the Kostuv Civil War, has seen a dramatic shift in its participants, with the Greater Xagrurgian Empire officially ceding defeat, thus resulting in the Allies making peace with the nation. The Axis has drastically shrunk from this, with its only two major members being Ethalria and Kostromastan, the only two nations on Aurora that are landlocked. Sources report that Kostromastan is executing an invasion of Nocturne, Caltharus, with Allied forces making their way to the city.
- The city of Tula has yet again made leaps and bounds technologically with its new prototypical teplar-powered (OOC: teplar=solar in TEP) vehicle. In very early stages, the engineering innovation startup TeplarCar hopes to achieve complete energy independence for the vehicle prototype by the middle of next year.

BREAKING:
- The vote on whether to send foreign officials and personnel and cleanup funding to help clean the radioactive mess in Xagrurg has officially taken place in the Hall, with a final vote of 40-7 in favor of sending personnel, but with the sending of funds failing by a vote of 30-17. "We feel that sending funds, although a good idea, may result in the country we send the funds to using that money for other, less savory endeavors. As such, only personnel that we can direct will be sent," said Hall speaker Vera Avorov.
- It has been almost two weeks since Queen Xenia of Imperial Fandom requested help from the PKFU in her attempts to keep the citizens of Imperial Fandom safe from the on-going civil war. The participants in the war have signed a ceasefire, but fighting continues in small pockets away from areas where the ceasefire is enforced. The PKFU efforts to move citizens to safe zones has been very effective, with 20% of all Fandomians having been relocated to their nearest zone since the program was implemented. This number is set to increase at a steady and optimistic pace, with a projected 60% being relocated by next spring. Although the safe zones are not all fully constructed, the temporary housing in them have been fully built and ready for occupants to inhabit them. The more important safe zones also have occupations ready for refugees.
- The northern provinces of The Confederation of Kostromastan have officially surrendered, marking the end in Kostromastan's participation in the Auroran-Pacific War. Kostromastan's surrender comes after a series of airstrikes done by Asendavian and Kuthern forces, attacking Nal'Chik, Volgoda, and the current capital Novgorod, primarily focusing on Kostrom military outposts and their airstrips. Kostromastan first declared war on the SCE in mid-july, resulting in Asendavia and Kuthernburg to declare war on Kostromastan. The only military action Kostromastan took was the failed invasion of Nocturne, which resulted in the airstrikes that occurred today.
- Researchers in Tarov's southern district have discovered a biological catalyst that makes stem cells to reproduce at a much faster rate, a profound discovery that will lead to Tivot's cultured meat and dairy facilities to faster produce their products.

BREAKING:
- A total of 250 workers have been assigned to aid in the cleanup efforts in South-Central Aurora, and will collaborate with their counterparts in other countries to minimize damages caused by the meltdown. 150 of those workers will be sent to the power plant itself, and will use and wear proper equipment for cleanup.
- A hurricane warning has been announced for the nations of northern Aurora in light of a potential category 5 hurricane headed through the Caven Sea. The Tivotian and Baykalian governments are reacting accordingly, and have begun the process of evacuating to safer areas and preparing people who cannot or will not leave. Tivotians will either evacuate to designated high-rises that have proven to be reliable during hurricane season due to the small size of the nation, or temporarily leave the nation southwards in Caltharus. Baykalians north of the Kalivian mountains will either have to evacuate south to the outskirts of Irkutsk, or hunker down in their homes. For those staying, sandbags will be deployed around private properties, and will be built to the height of predicted flood levels. Pamphlets on how to properly set up the sandbags will be given out to inhabitants of the lower elevation regions of Chita and its surrounding areas.

BREAKING:
- Weeks after Hurricane Mable barreled through the Caven Sea, Baykalians and Tivotians are picking up the pieces. Hit the hardest were the Baykalian lowlands near the coast, the hurricane virtually destroying everything in the area, save the main infrastructure and a few sturdy houses. TBN correspondent Yuri Orovich went to the lowlands, and described the destruction of the area as something he "had never seen before. Everything was utterly destroyed." Lady Posol made an announcement earlier this week, stating "In order to restore our beautiful nation back to its former self, my husband and I will donate 11 Billion kiribs towards the effort. Citizens, don't see this as a disaster, see this as an opportunity to start anew! We can build our cities in Baykalian fashion, rather than the old Kostuv buildings. We will recover from this and come out stronger than ever." Baykalians responded to this announcement with cheers in many public squares across Baykalia.
As for Tivot, relatively minimal damage was inflicted on the small nation, with many buildings and companies beginning the rebuilding process.
- A group of insurgents known as Bal Al'Shek headquartered in their self-declared West Atiland, have been at odds with the Royal Republic for years. Tensions in the region, however, recently grew as the country Nacata intercepted one of the West Atiland drones, West Atiland's dictator calling the act a declaration of war. The so-called nation has been known to accuse and threaten its neighbors for years now, this being only the most recent example.
- In light of the recent war that has ravaged our continent for months, the major powers of Aurora, including nations such as The Staynish-Caltharus Empire, Axdel, and Tuvaltastan, yet excluding nations such as Kostromastan, Emberwood Coast, and Dragonia, have begun the process of leaving the Auroran Continental Assembly in favor of a newly-developed replacement, known as the Auroran Union. This has sparked major protests across the nations leaving and the ones staying, many claiming the split is a power grab, while others see the shift as our continent losing its identity as one continent. The largest protest is taking place where the talks themselves are occurring: Sani Bursil. Although there have been a few attempts to instigate chaos in the city, the law enforcement has kept the tensions mostly under control, save a few inevitable skirmishes. Alyona Petrovavich has scheduled a press conference to address many concerns over the decision to leave the ACA.
- The leader of Fortuna Tristan Lytle recently sparked controversy in the Spes region, calling for a unification of Eridani Theta and Fortuna into one nation. Eridani Theta in response will hold a referendum in the coming weeks, with the vulpine-dominated north vehemently opposing such a unity, recalling the extreme abuse that Fortunan vulpines had to endure during the so-called Purification Period. The human-majority southern half of the nation has proven through polls it is more than willing to join Fortunans as one nation. This conflict of interest has resulted in a few northern towns to completely ban humans from entering their town. Tensions have always been relatively high, but it seems that those tensions are reaching heights not seen since the 1970's.

Local
- Tunnels R Us has announced plans to begin work on a tunnel from Port Barnaul directly to the Crescent Isles in an effort to connect the outlying archipelago to mainland Tuvaltastan. Many have criticized this plan, pointing to the tunneling scare of last year, when the islands were first acquired by Tuvaltastan and Dragonia. "We will take the utmost precautions when building this tunnel. Our personnel working on this project are our most experienced, and know the ins and outs of this business; trust me when I say they will do this job right the first time." That was Tunnels R Us CEO Avros Azarov talking at a press conference yesterday when the plan was announced.
- The Everyday Hero of the Week is Ivan Yorikov, who quit his job and used up his entire life's savings towards helping abused and neglected children from around Aurora. His home, now known as the Yorikov Foster Care Center, has to date helped over 2500 kids find a place to call home. "The tedium of my old job just didn't make me feel accomplished at the end of every day. I felt stuck in a cycle, and all I wanted to do was help people. So I quit my job and started with helping those who need it most: our future." Yorikov has began a funding campaign to continue his work, and expand his efforts towards helping other needy groups.
- Officials of Port Barnaul have announced their intent to create a self-sustaining city on the outskirts of Port Barnaul, called RASMAR City. It will incorporate the use of solar panels, aquaponic water systems, driverless electric vehicles, and other methods of reducing the city's energy usage. The officials claimed that this new megaproject will become a center for science and education in Aurora, but skeptics doubt the ambitious project will fully come to fruition. RASMAR City's Phase One completion date has been set at 2022.
- The cities of Shagonar and Omsk have been slowly adapting to the radiation emanating from the nuclear plant in Nuremkastel, with many clothing outlets selling anti-radiation clothing, including undergarments and hats made with materials found to be effective in blocking radiation. "It sucks that we have to wear these ugly clothes, but it's better than up and moving out of the city," said one citizen, wearing a silvery-looking shirt and hat. The increased radiation, although not lethal, has so far been shown to increase one's chances of getting cancer or contracting a disease.

- On November 21st, Emberwood Coast's President Nimona Poole announced her intent to host a series of talks taking place in the Emberitian capital of Aura. Now, a week after the first announcement, and after a Non-Proliferation Summit was held, the Counterterrorism Summit will be held this afternoon, which will surely address the presence of Al-Jaheed in Aurora. Tomorrow morning the USV Belladonna is also scheduled to launch into space in Aura, which should be quite a spectacle to see. Tuvaltastan's own Alyona Petrovavich and Lara Tarasovna are participating in this week of talks, and have already expressed their hopes that these talks will reunify the continent.
- The Emperor of The Oan Isles has recently announced his engagement to current director of Oanaid Aroha Putea. Mostly kept secret, their romantic relationship slowly blossomed over the years only until last month. The wedding will take place in December 1st, and Tuvaltastan's High-Minister Mark Lirakov will be attending. This union, although very much political, is also seen by most as a positive event to forget the events of this past year. "It truly is a beautiful thing to see two people who love each other solidify their affection with a wedding. It will surely be an extravagant ceremony, and I'll have to work extra hard to get them a gift worthy of their love," said Lirakov in an interview yesterday.
- Baykalia's leader Lady Posol in a statement today condemned the Aura talks and summits, calling them, "a threat to national sovereignty. A power grab by the elites in Aurora to create a supranational entity led by them. We shall never bow to their will, and will grow on our own. May Baykalians prosper!" Wife of Posol Industries CEO Remis Posol, the family has solidified their family's leadership in Baykalia, and have used a small chunk of Posol Industries' revenue to fund projects within Baykalia. The hermit nation is still recovering from Hurricane Mabel, with large swaths of Chita still under reparations.
- Primrose Inc. has announced its release date for its new phone, the PrimPhone 9. The phone will first be released in Fort Staynes at 2pm on New Year's Day next year, with a worldwide release an hour later. Many analysts have called this phone to be the most innovative phone released by Primrose in years, and the phone is expected to break sales records. One reviewer called the phone "a technological genius, being almost incomparable to its predecessor." There's no doubt that the PrimPhone always draws a crowd, and is a truly pretty device.
Global
- The Chianski situation has reached its peak, with militaries across the world being sent in and around the archipelago nation. Adumara, who blockaded the small nation over claims that it funded the terrorist organization Al-Jaheed, led to members of the Fire Pact Alliance, Chianski being a member itself, flocking to Chianski in response to the blockade, along with FPA members invading Adumara. Major nations of the world, including the SCE and the SHACOG have all responded to the FPA's invasion of Adumara with both condemnations and military action, resulting in some FPA members to withdraw their membership from the alliance.
- President of the SHACOG has been hospitalized after suffering from a severe stroke. Tuvalt High-Minister Mark Lirakov sent his condolences to the President's family, hoping for his quick recovery. At 77 years of age, Mr. Hunter has been the leader of South Hills since 2013, and is currently serving his second term as President. We here at TBN wish him a steep path to recovery.

- Tunnels R Us, the company currently tunneling deep below the Sea of Tranquility to get to the Crescent Isles, has run into a bit of problems approximately halfway through their progress. A previously-unknown pocket of dense rock was detected almost 30 yards away from the subterrene's drill. "If we didn't detect this dense rock, our drill would have most likely burned out. Billions of Kiribs wasted. Thankfully someone in the radar room caught it just in time," says one of the workers directly from the tunnel on a phone interview done by the podcast show TuvaNow. We contacted Tunnels R Us leadership, and we have yet to get a response.
- The Everyday Hero of the Week is Mikhail Wilikov, a Tuvalt volunteer who has dedicated himself towards the Fandomian refugee crisis. Over 6 million Fandomians have been displaced by the civil war tearing our southern neighbor asunder, and Wilikov has, along with many other Tuvalts, volunteered to work with the PKFU to effectively relocate the refugees. Refuse camps along the Tuvalt-Fandom border have seen the largest populations, holding approximately 4.7 million collectively. "I just hate seeing people suffer. Those of us who are better off should spend more time thinking about those less fortunate than themselves." That was Wilikov explaining why he decided to volunteer in our interview of him this morning.
Aurora
- Months have passed since the fall of the Grand Matriarchy of Ethalria. Four nations have replaced it, one of which being Kothalria, a small nation dominated by steppes and wildlife. A once-neglected corner of Ethalria, Kothalria now has complete sovereignty over its own territory, and has already implemented numerous policies directed towards preserving its natural beauty. One such policy, known as the Natural Conservation Act, strives to establishing a goal of "50% conservation by 2020," a goal whose deadline is approaching fast. (OOC: I need to further create Kothalrian culture and stuff, so hopefully this is enough RP until I come up with more things)
- The civil war that has been ripping The Imperial Coalition of Confederated Fandoms asunder has been under a strongly-enforced ceasefire, a rare chance for the nation to take a sigh of relief. Queen Xenia and her two siblings, who all claim to be the true heir to King Xavier's throne, have agreed to conduct talks in the Tuvalt capital Novosibirsk to discuss potential solutions to the civil war. Queen Xenia has fervently and desperately asked for her brother and sister to halt the fighting for three years now, neither of which had done so. Prince Xerxes, who has control of the eastern coast of the ICCF has previously stated his intent to marry into another royal family to further justify and confirm his claim to the throne. Queen Xenia and her wife have three adopted children, this lack of blood relation being the primary reason for the dispute.
- Baykalia's leader Lady Posol, in an announcement last weekend, commended Fortuna's leader Tristan Lytle for his "determination to reunify his fractured nation in a peaceful manner! Glory to the High Commander!" This unusual show of allegiance to a foreign leader has been under close analysis since the announcement, and few can speculate what this allegiance means. "It could well result in Baykalia becoming a Fortunan puppet state, or it could be something much more sinister. An announcement so public as this is unheard of." That was political analyst Yirilov Yszemkovich, a man who has met with Lady Posol a number of times. The same announcement included the usual calls to unite under Posol leadership, and other propaganda known to pepper her speeches.
- Researchers in Tula have developed a skin-tight suit that uses a system known as haptic feedback, which simulates different physical feelings like softness, sharpness, wetness, and many others, tricking our sense of touch. The haptic feedback system has been used in medical therapy to help those with diseases affecting their sense of touch, and many who have become paralyzed through accidents. The Tula researchers developed the suit for a completely different reason however: gaming. Eventually, the researchers hope that this suit may become widespread in use. "We personally believe that this suit could enhance our gaming experience; just imagine diving into a lake in a video game, and actually feeling like your wet when you emerge out of the digital water!"
- Since the Auroran-Pacific War that broke the continent apart, Kostromastan has been split in half, ideologically speaking. Those that lead and live in the southern half, advocating for the values and beliefs of democracy and liberty, have spun close ties to its southern neighbor Tuvaltastan, while the northern half, its leaders and inhabitants touting the principles of socialism, has drifted further away from most Auroran nations. The heads of the northern provinces have for months called for a separation from the Kostrom Confederation, and it seems a breaking point is nigh. Current Council leader Mila Rostilov, who only recently was appointed Council head, has announced her intent to hold a referendum on whether the two halves of Kostromastan should split on March 24.
Global
- The nation of Furnifold has seen a drastic increase in population, a direct result of the Fandomian refugee crisis. One of the primary overseas nations the PKFU has designated for Fandomian relocation, a whopping 200,000 or so refugees have entered the nation of 16 million, most arriving in the city of Boonefield. Many have compared the city to the now-dismantled Vorkovich Walled City, a hyper-dense collection of buildings that was a humanitarian disaster, a result of a regulatory limbo in which the area became a lawless block of buildings within the metropolis of Tarov, Tivot. Although nowhere near as dense as Vorkovich Walled City, Boonefield has seen a concerning increase in population.
- The Yasterian dictatorship of Fortuna has recently celebrated its 19-year anniversary since the reunification of the Fortunan archipelago, executed by its current leader Tristan Lytle. Eridani Theta, which recently decided through referendum to join the nation, also celebrated with its own festivities. It is believed that Baykalian dictator Lady Posol will be attending this year's Unification Day, Posol, her husband, and her three eldest being Fortunans themselves.

 THIS WEEK'S NEWS:
06/13/18
Local
- Tunnels R Us have announced on their MyLyfe page that they have finally passed through the unusually dense rock that they have been attempting to drill through for the past few months. In an effort to better connect the eastern Tuvalt islands, Tunnels R Us announced back in November of last year that they would begin drilling a tunnel to connect Port Barnaul to the Crescent Isles. "Progress has been slow getting through this 'rock pocket' as I like to call it, but we've made it past the halfway mark! We are officially 57% completed with this tunnel, and it can be expected to be completed by the end of this year!" That was Tunnels R Us CEO Avros Azarov during a quick press conference organized in his office this morning.
- The ICCF Summit on the ongoing civil war has finally begun after a series of threats to cancel it from all three sides. Queen Xenia, the current recognized leader of the impoverished nation, has stated her goal for this summit is to "finally have a chance at making peace, and maybe bring an end to this horrendous conflict. Too many have died for the sake of a simple argument between my siblings, and I can no longer let that slide. I am fully determined to bring peace to the ICCF." Her brother, Prince Xerxes, has also stated that he wishes to "open the nation to new opportunities, but I can only get what I want done if I'm the leader." Prince Xerxes has also been looking for a potential suitor in other royal families, and asked us (OOC: payed them) to inform any royals watching that he is "single and ready to mingle," as he put it.
Aurora
- Up north, The Republic of Tivot has begun investigations into what is believed to be a terrorist attack on a freight ship. The Tivotian government suspect that the attack was organized and implemented by the radical anti-business group Nullares. The freight ship, which had left the Northern Tarov Port hours before the incident, was originally headed for the Vekaiyun Union in northeastern Yasteria, and would have made its way across the ocean over to Atlantia. Ship records reveal that a submersible had been spotted minutes before an explosion occurred, apparently caused by a torpedo. Multiple distress signals were sent out into the general vicinity, and a number of nearby ships made their way to the vessel. Sadly, 25 of the ship's crew had perished from the incident, with another 4 people unaccounted for. The rest of the crew were successfully rescued, and were brought back to Tarov.
- The Referendum on the Status of the Kostrom Confederation has finally come to a close, after repeated delays from an initial March 24 voting day. A non-binding referendum, this poll has been under serious scrutiny from many of the provinces' leaders, claiming it is an attempt to divide the nation politically, many conspiracy theorists blaming the Baykalian corporation Posol Industries. The results, after hours of counting and recounting, have finally been published, with 52.1% in favor of a split-up, and 46.4% opposed, with a very obvious division between North and South.
- The heads of the province of Tulava, home to the research megafacility and vertical city Tula, have begun talks on the current political status of the state. Currently under a loose authority currently headquartered in Nolov, Tulava's connection with its fellow provinces has slowly been dwindling economically and socially, with many of its imports coming directly from its southern neighbor Tuvaltastan. Many of the scientists that utilize the megafacility are also predominantly Tuvalt. This has led to many of Tula's citizens to question its being a member of the young confederation. We here at TBN will keep you updated on the content of the talks.

- The Oan ambassador to Zukchiva, Atamoto Toangakau, has been declared deceased by Zukchivan authorities. The unfortunate incident occurred at the Seveni International Airport, with Mr Toangakau apparently being mistaken for a wanted criminal at large, Ajenadro Haker. According to the official police report, the ambassador and the criminal had arrived at the airport at a similar time, and due to vague and sketchy descriptions of Haker, the authorities approached Mr. Toangakau, believing it was their target. Apparently afraid of the situation, the Oan ambassador fled the area, and was struck down by the police. We here at TBN offer our condolences to the Toangakau family, and hope that the two nations involved can come to an understanding before tensions escalate. (OOC: I hope the story I wrote is accurate, pls let me know if it isn't)
- In other news, the ruthless Borostrian dictator Stefan von Häuner has been assassinated in a military occupation by Rijelv, in an alleged attempt by Rijelvan Empress Sofiya to "free the Borostrian citizens of tyranny, exploitation, and suffering" under the leadership of Stefan von Häuner. The now-deceased dictator was the uncle of the young monarch, and also the alleged killer of Empress Sofiya's father. Rijelvan authorities have begun writing a new constitution similar to the ones found in other democracies, and
