![]() News at Nine: The President of Faethalria, Jane Augusta, was invited to a closed doors meeting with Walter Johannes, Prime Minister in Sani Bursil this morning. Jane Augusta told Walter that despite being allied with the United Kingdom, Faethalria wanted to lessen their military presence. Walter told the press he was reluctant to make the decision, but felt it was the right decision. In a compromise, the two countries will be holding joint military parades in Rivendale and Sani Bursil. It will be the first time in Faethalrian and Ethalrian history that Morst soldiers have walked the streets of Rivendale in solidarity with the nation. The parade is taking place on the 21st of March. The parade in Sani Bursil will take place some time in June. The UK is enforcing more quarantine protocols in Horalia after dozens more people have died. The virus has continued to spread across the country, forcing borders, airports and internal travel to close. Many people have questioned how bad this virus will get, and whether it will enter Aurora. |

![]() News at Two: Bursil F.C. won the Kings Cup at Camp Venna last night, against rivals Celidizia F.C.. The Reds beat the Blacks in a 5-2 victory. The match saw eighty two thousand seats taken in the stand- out of eighty seven thousand. Staynish-Embertian billionaire Jeremy Hill, owner of Bursil has applauded the team as they hail a new era of dominance in Morstaybishlian club football. Today, large areas of the eastern Auroran continent experienced dangerously high heat conditions. Wildfires, spread by hot dry winds, burned out of control in the State of Nocturne. The Nudrine suburb of Nocturne reportedly reached 48.1°C, making it the hottest day on record for that region, according the Bureau of Meteorology, Nocturne. The all-time record for the state was barely hotter at 48.5°C in 2002. The heat was so extreme that the asphalt began to melt in sections of two major highways in the State of Marenus. Though large sections of eastern Aurora are covered in arid desert and steppe, this weather is far removed from normal fluctuations. The average high temperature for coastal cities such as Lambertupol and Aeternum range from the high 20s to low 30s in Celsius in January. Edited by Dylan, Jan 30 2018, 09:13:12 AM.

![]() News at Ten: Within days, the UK Parliament will commence discussion regarding LGBT rights. In 2015, same sex marriage became legal in the United Kingdom. In the next couple of weeks the Parliament is to discuss the social equality between members of society that associates themselves as lesbian, gay, bisexual and transexual compared to straight. Many groups have actively opposed the acceptance of the LGBT community. Anti-LGBT protesters have caused riots in multiple locations and have met fierce opposition from Pro-LGBT protesters. The two sides clashed in Kirdintayos this morning, and was stopped by riot police. The Profound Estimable Ferron DeLuche has commented on the debates, calling it a "step in the right direction for us as a nation as we embrace a colourful future". The Morstaybishlian Space Agency (MSA) has announced plans to establish a base on Olune. The base would serve as a mid way point for the MSA and other space agencies to bring down the cost of space travel and is expected to set the precedent for space exploration and development. The trillion kirib project is predicted to start next year, sending a series of rockets to the planet to establish a basic colony before it expands into a jump base. The announcement led to severe backlash from members of the public, criticising the governments "wasteful" expenditures, but the MSA believes that space exploration is the next step into the future. ![]() News at Ten: Catastrophe strikes as school disappears into the urth in the small medieval mining town of Grennine, located in Nocturne, Caltharus. One hundred and sixteen children aged 4 to 11 and over a dozen teachers are amongst the dead. The area sits above several large abandoned mine-shafts. The ground where St Grennine Primary School was located was believed to be safe upon the schools construction in the 1920's. The parish has appealed for a state funded funeral service and monument to be constructed in respect for the victims of the tragedy. On Sunday, His Majesty Lambertus VII unveiled a large, 20ft copper statue in Fort Vitrayn to commemorate the hard work of the Morst scientists who delivered many modern day technologies in the 60s and 70s. The statue appears to show the figures of the 9 most prolific scientists of that age, all holding models of their work. The ceremony gathered the attention of several million online viewers and a crowd of over 10,000 in Hyle Park, where the statue was unveiled. The statue was named 'The Grand Generation'. A large naval show was held in the Staynish Pacific Islands last week. Two fleets performed several naval ceremonies which gave gratitude to the people inhabiting the islands. The UK has been the sole protector of the islands for over two hundred years. |
