Good Evening, this is Salman Adhakov with the 11 o'clock news on 1230AM, BSC Radio Coocoobad, 950 in Panjuhr, 830 in Ulgava and 1170 in Anadahl, as well as Channel 4 Nationwide. The federal government has downplayed the possibility of Autonomy for certain regions of Coocoostan, one day after redefining those region's boundaries. President Hagans reinterated her position that the nation is a federal state and that the majority of powers should rest with Coocoobad. Also today, the search for New Coocoostan National Anthem ended, with the choice being played this morning at the Parliamentary Congress. In Sport, the Panjuhr Elite defeated PLAC Coocoobad 2-0 in the 7th and deciding game of their first round series in CHL action, while in the CJHL, the PLAC U-15s defeated the PLAC U-17s 1-0 in Overtime to win their 1st round series. In the 2nd round of the CHL Playoffs Panjuhr Elite(6) @ Ulgava Wild(1) GAME 1: ULGAVA STADIUM, Friday, 2000 Intel Coocoobad(4) @ BSC Warriors(2) GAME 1: COOCOOBAD ARENA, Saturday, 1930 The Junior National Championships begin tomorrow with the Ulgava Wild U-20s taking on the Panjuhr Hockey Academy in the first game at South Coocoobad Arena which holds 14,500 spectators, the largest hockey arena in the country. The PLAC U-20 and U-15 teams will also participate in the round robin tournament, with the final coming sunday evening. That's the news, first tonight on world view, the KBC World Service, talking about the opposition in Kelssek to Dannistrian military action in the Tyrsis Imperium. |

"So what eventually ended up happening is that we were called out to the Golden Dragon again and we see this crowd of Coocoo kids throwing bottles at the building. They're very lucky they weren't hurt, because that place is a Triad Headquarters. We did catch one of the Triads with a Kalashnikov, so he was arrested for bearing arms in public. Other than that, it's......" Good afternoon, this is Greg Crozier, interrupting this program with breaking news. A stunning development at the Capitol today as President Tammy Hagans has tabled the International Free Trade Agreement, which is beleived to be one of the key goals of her first term. The members are currently voting on wether to allow the bill to be tabled, which would open it for debate. We'll show you the scene now, as it apppears....that's Heritage party Labour secretary Bruce Engler speaking to the motion. "...It is my beleif Mr. Speaker that to even consider this Agreement would severly impact our now recovering economy by impairing them with even more restricitve regulations. I also have a great deal of reservation as far as the kinds of nations that sign this treaty. Take Kelssek for example. *an Independence Party PC makes snide comments in the background* They are a heavily socialist state that enjoys a 100% tax rate, including restrictive taxes against the wealthy. Does the president truly wish to join in this Robin Hood mentality of the IFTA? Does the President wish to align our nation with Vladistock Island and Krechzianko? I should certainly hope not,as she would have undone the 15 years of work that our nation has put in to become a free democracy in a matter of weeks.." *The Parliamentary Congress erupts into a rabble, yet again.* There you have it for now. We'll return to Street Patrol and interrupt again should any other key speakers rise. |

Good Evening, this is Salman Adhakov with the 11 o'clock news on 1230AM, BSC Radio Coocoobad, 950 in Panjuhr, 830 in Ulgava and 1170 in Anadahl, as well as Channel 4 Nationwide. Terrorists stormed an office of the Finance Ministry in Kalibad today, with two CNP officers killed in the ensuing raid. Three cars pulled up to the building about 1830 this evening, with the assailants storming the building. CNP officials said the death toll among the attackers was "roughly twenty". One of the 3 men held hostage inside was wounded when shot accidentally by a CNP officer. The two CNP officers killed were snipers trying to get into position outside the building, when they came under fire. One sniper who did get into position covered one side of the building, giving the signal to a helicopter to land on the roof, with the Kalibad ATRT(Anti-Terror Reponse Team) rapelling down the side of the building and kicking in a window. The deaths are the 4th and 5th for the CNP this year: 3 January Traffic Sergeant Genneday Pakhomov,52,Ulgava, 19 years service Struck and killed by a vehicle while setting up a roadblock on the A4, north of Ulgava 5 February Patrolman 1st Class Lewis Feher ,43, New Zealand, 2 years service Patrolman 1st Clas Roberto Hahn, 48, Panjuhr, 5 years service Both killed by terrorist while searching a house in suburban Coocoobad. 23 February Two unknown Kalibad ATRT officers, shot by terrorists holding the Finance Ministry office in Kalibad. Debate continued today in the Parliamentary Congress on the International Free Trade Agreement, with a vote 40-15 with one absence. Phillip Arnold, Defence Secretary and leader of the National party within the congress said "It is harmless to table this legislation so we can examine it more closely. Only after through debate will our party, which undoubtedly holds the balance of power, decide wether to side with the government, or the right-wing bloc." Independent PC Lawrence Bloom was ejected by speaker Dustin Hock for refusing to stop an rambling speech in which he denounced Kelssek Prime Minister Alan Kerk as "A closet communist" and labelled the nations of Krechzianko and Vladistock Island as "worthless socialist fantasylands". Mr. Bloom was supposed to contest a by-election to win approval from voters to sit as a member of the Ultra-conservative Independence Party earlier this month, but backed out, stating he did not feel his time as a PC would be well-spent running for office again. Political analysts cited Bloom's increasing unpopularity in his district of 2nd Ulgava for the descision. The national council of the Green Party has unanimously voted in favour of not allowing Ada Fielder to stand for a leadership review and chose instead to go directly to a leadership convention, scheduled tentatively for the end of March. Leader Ada Fielder has been under harsh criticism since the December elections, in which she garnered just 3% of the vote for president nationally and in which the Greens won only 4 of the 15 seats they contested. Fielder vowed to run at the convention, with PCs Tim Herbert and Craig Blain being touted as well. In sport tonight, the National Junior Hockey Championships entered their second day, with the surprise PLAC U-15 team improving to 2-0 with a Win over the Panjuhr Hockey Academy, who are 0-2 in the tournament despite a 6-0-1 record during the regular season. In the earlier game, PLAC U-20s defeated Ulgava Wild U-20s 2-0. Both those teams are 1-1. The final games of the round robin pit the U-20s against the PHA and the U-15s against the Wild U-20s. The 1st place team will receive a bye to Sunday's final with the 2nd and 3rd place teams playing in a semi-final on Saturday. Also tomorrow Panjuhr Elite are in Ulgava to take on the Wild in game 1 of their second round series in the CHL. Intel Coocoobad against BSC starts on Saturday night. That's all for tonight. First tonight on regional view, a new addition, KBC Newsworld, who interviewed now infamous reporter Nikolai Stoichkov yesterday, we will show you that in it's entirety. Good evening. |

Good Evening, this is Salman Adhakov with the 11 o'clock news on 1230AM, BSC Radio Coocoobad, 950 in Panjuhr, 830 in Ulgava and 1170 in Anadahl, as well as Channel 4 Nationwide. The Coocoostan National Police today were ordered by President Tammy Hagans to step up patrols of the nation's remote highways after several motorists were stopped and robbed at armed roadblocks along the E110 in the Coocooo Autonomous Oblast. One motorist was trasported to hospital in Kalibad with what are described as broken bones. This marks the first significant attacks by bandits in the Northwest since November of last year, after the People's Liberation Army of Coocoostan cracked down on them. The new Coocoostan Military had vowed to leave those security issues to the CNP, but that is now in doubt. 27 people are accounted for after a Drikar Air DC-3 skidded off the runway during an aborted takeoff at Coocoobad International Airport today. The pilot aborted the takeoff after one of his engines failed. The airline has been under the microscope after four of it's planes crashed within two weeks in July of last year, leading to several mechanics being charged with criminal negligence and the airline having it's flying priveliges revoked. In sport, the Coocoostan Junior Hockey League had it's championship game today, for the Remembrance Cup between the People's Liberation Army of Coocoostan Under 15s and the Ulgava Wild Under 20s. A near capacity crowd of 12,500 took in the game at the new South Coocoobad Arena. The U-15s took the lead in the middle of the first period, but the game was tied in the first few minutes of the third. This set up a frantic final 5 minutes, where the U-15s took the lead, only to have the Wild tie the game in the last two minutes, sending the game to overtime. The Wild failed on their first powerplay, then took two penalties in the last few minutes of the 1st Overtime, with PLAC unable to take advantage of their 5 on 3. The Wild would go down by two men again. On the Penalty kill a shot by Rob Kent, a Penalty Kill specialist with only two assists in 10 games this season had a shot deflected by PLAC defenceman Andrei Ustinov that fooled goaltender Vladislav Naumov(Brother of Coocoobad Red Menace goaltender Pavel) and went in with 8:28 gone in Double Overtime to give the Wild the 3-2 win. This gives the Ulgava Wild a chance for the double Championship this year, as their senior team led 1-0 in it's second round series against the Panjuhr Elite. It was the last game in the history of PLAC Men's hockey, as the Senior team was sold, to become the Coocoobad Red Menace. Only the U-15s have been sold amongst the Junior Teams, with the team heading to Wajax to become the Wajax Winterhawks. Jagadsemash, Ashamkabad, Kalibad and Summikalad are all said to be interested in the other two teams. In CHL action, the Panjuhr Elite tied thier second round series with the Ulgava Wild at 1 game apeice by defeating them 1-0 at Ulgava Stadium. Game 3 is at PHA Arena in Panjuhr, Tuesday. The game tomorrow between Intel Coocoobad and BSC Warriors has been moved to the South Coocoobad Arena, to accommodate a larger crowd. That's it for tonight. Regional view is next with BBC Dannistan. Good evening. |

It's 7:15 and here's the lead story on RJQM, News radio 760. It's a beautiful clear day and about 12 celsius here in downtown Anadahl with an air quality index of Good. Topping the news, Drikar Air has been grounded by the Transport Secretariat. Transport Secretary Lois Crowley(HTG) announced the descision after one of their aircraft had an aborted takeoff at Coocoobad International Airport, that led to 5 of 27 passengers being injured. The airline had been grounded in July, over concerns about its maintenance practices. Crowley also announced an inquiry into the rescue effort and the fact that some passengers found their own way to the hospital as wel as the fact that an airport spokesman had led BSC to report the passengers "Accounted for", implying that they were feared lost, which led to foreign media reporting just that. Taxi Driver Timofei Nakhimov drove two passengers to the Coocoobad Infirmary himself. "I was sitting in the airport loop, waiting to get to the front, when all of a sudden, the Fire Department goes charging out there. About ten minutes later, a young man with an older woman he was helping out, walks up and tells me to go to the Infirmary, so I did. I only found out on the radio an hour later that there'd been a crash, so I called the City Police to tell them what had happened." There was apparent confusion over wether it was the Coocoostan National Police or Cooocoobad City Police that were obligated to help. The two services have gotten along reasonably well since the capital got it's own police, but there have been minor areas of contention, such as highways. Also, Tenkos Oil Company has announced plans to buy into the port of Aubrey, in the coastal nation of Tevi Milou. That nation seperated from Kelssek last year and has long been looking for foreign investment. We'll be back after a short break. The Anadahl Patriots are back again, starting in just two weeks! The players are getting their invitations right now and the Pats are looking to show their rivals that they're the team to beat! Think you want in on the fun? Then call 06 27 PATS, for information on the various ticket packages we'll be offering. A reminder, that season ticket holders get first pick of tickets for the All-Star game, as well as national team games. Call now! |

Good Evening, this is Salman Adhakov with the 11 o'clock news on 1230AM, BSC Radio Coocoobad, 950 in Panjuhr, 830 in Ulgava and 1170 in Anadahl, as well as Channel 4 Nationwide. The Coocoostan Military(CM) held a news conference today, in which it officially retired several types of equipment, including the UH-1 helicopter and many infantry weapons. They also formally introduced their new uniforms, which provide them with far more camouflage and are made from a less abrasive fabric. They also introduced their new rank system, which is far more western than the old Soviet ranks used by the PLAC. When General Lee Murphy, the Cheif of Staff for the CM was asked if the CM could contribute in any way to the situation in Tyrsis Imperium, he said "I'm sure we could. While likely not in a mass deployment, we could contribute particularly with our new Aircraft, such as the NH90 Helicopter and the C-160 Transport aircraft. Our portable medical facilities are all new and with the many university trained doctors and surgeons we've recruited with our new signing bonuses, they could play a role. I'm particularly proud of our teams for Neurosurgery and Spinal Cord injuries. This isn't the People's Liberation Army anymore, we're a professional military now. We don't allow slackers to keep on slacking just because they're the chilren of officers. We've stamped out the devodschina, or conscripts social order, because the conscripts and the discipline vacuum are both gone. Our people know that we have an excellent Military Police force now and that if they break our rules, they'll be caught. So I think we're ready and instead of the embarassment the PLAC would have likely brought to our country, the CM would perform very well, I'm sure." He was also asked about the diminishing role of both the Ethnic Coocoo and the Russian Language within the CM. "While it's true our ranks aren't bilingual anymore, the truth is that most of the Coocoo in the military speak at least conversational English, they have to. Even in the Northwest, there are a lot of Anglophones. Still, Unilingual Russians are weclome and would be under no pressure to learn English providing they agreed to serve in Russian-speaking units, which are limited. On the subject of the Tyrsis Imperium, protesters marched to the future site of the Kelssekian embassy in Coocoobad this evening, denouncing the Killing of 2 Kelssek Forces members by the Royal Dannistan Air Force. One of the killed was Identified as "Lieutenant Pattre", no first name given. The soldiers were from the 32nd CER and were attempting to stabilize an appartment building when they were attacked by a RDAF F-14D. The RDAF had lost another F-14 to Surface-to-Air missile fire in the vicinity only minutes before the deadly attack. The Dannistan government has apoligized via official channels. The protests also occured in smaller numbers in several other cities. The protestors in Cocoobad gave speeches before marching, including Ratsko Imbrahimovic, former head of the Coocoostan Border Guards, who lost his job after the border was sealed to Kelssekian citizens without authorization. "This act of murder is no more than an attempt to scare the well-meaning forces of Kelssek out of the country! Only Kelssek seems to care at all about the people of the Tyrsis Imperium, while the Dannistanis care only about how many notches they can carve into their rifles!" Placards at the march also accused Dannistan of acting out of "A History of Bloodlust" and the FPS of having an Imperial agenda. More gang violence in Coocoobad overnight, with a man suspected of having ties to the "Latin Guns" gang being shot dead in the South of the city. Police say the area is home to several other gangs, all of which are fighting for control of territory. An avalanche in the Ondak mountains has buried several remote cabins, leaving rescuers scrambling to search them. C-160s from the CM flew over the affected areas, dropping Search and Rescue Teams by parachute. CM and CNP sources are unsure if the cabins were even lived in, let alone occupied. This has been a relatively quiet Avalanche season, as the mountains have seen low snow levels, keeping skiers and snowboarders away. Capitol Police stopped a man attempting self-immolation outside the Capitol today. The man, believed to be in his seventies, was wrapped in the Soviet Flag and occasionally yelled "Za Rodina" in Russian, or "For the Motherland", while dousing himself with gasoline. The man is apparently a Great Patriotic War Veteran who has been inconsolable since the fall of the Kaygorodov government. Tenkos Oil Company announced the Purchase of two oil tankers to serve on it's new route from Aubrey to San Francisco. The tankers, to be named "Tenkos Sky" and "Tenkos Spirit", were ordred in December, well before the deal with the government of Tevi Milou to use Aubrey as an oil terminal was announced. The federal government is also believed to be negociating the use of the port for it's own purposes, which remain unclear. In sport, The Panjuhr elite won game 5 of their 2nd round series with the Ulgava Wild, 2-1 in Ulgava to take a 3-2 lead in the best of seven. It's PEL's first lead of the series. They can book a trip to the Victory Cup finals with a win at home on Monday. Tomorrow sees game 5 of the BSC Warriors and Intel Coocoobad, at Cooocoobad Arena. Also in Hockey, HC Partisan Defenceman Mike Hawthorne has announced his entry into the Kelssek Hockey League's Draft. The 18 year old, 6'3, 210 Defenceman has earned praise for his on ice abilities with 5 points in the 6 games he played this year, but became an off ice distraction when his team began to lose. Partisan went 0-6-1 this year, finishing last and missing the playoffs. Hawthorne was arrested for public drunkeness in Coocoobad earlier this year in a case that has not yet gone to trial. He had already been suspended for one game for fighting a teammate in practice. Analysts familiar with him agree that while Hawthorne may develop to the level where he can stick in a KHL team's system, his personal problems could prove to be too much. Tonight on regional view, the FPSNN is first. On BSC Country Coocoostan, we're replaying the hockey game from earlier tonight, without any interruptions. |

The governments of Tevi Milou and Coocoostan have signed an agreement allowing the use of Port facilities and a fishing area specifically for Coocoo vessels in exchange for an undisclosed amount of cash. The agreement is hoped to attract fishermen from the Coocoo Autonomous Oblast, who have been prevented from fishing on Lake Kali since the mid 1990s. The fishers will begin tomorrow morning, with more on the way. Oil Giant Tenkos already signed an agreement with the country to use port facilities for it's new tanker route to the CSSR. Turning to sport now, in the CHL playoffs, Intel Coocoobad defeated the BSC Warriors tonight 3-1, to take their semifinal series in 6 games. They will play the Panjuhr Elite, who defeated the Ulgava Wild, also in 6 games. On regional view this evening, BBC Dannistan on a car bombing in that nation which has killed dozens. |

Good Evening, this is Salman Adhakov with the 11 o'clock news on 1230AM, BSC Radio Coocoobad, 950 in Panjuhr, 830 in Ulgava and 1170 in Anadahl, as well as Channel 4 Nationwide. 6 Coocoostani Fishermen are under arrest after being caught illegally fishing off the coast of Tevi Milou. Reports from the scene are limited but the Tevi Milou Coast Guard says that the fishermen are from the vessel "Tin Can Allie" which, according to the Interior Secretartiat of Cooocoostan is owned by a Steven D'Agostino, of Kalibad. One of the men was injured after assaulting a Coastguardsman while the vessel was boarded by a team of armed men. The TMCG said this was necessary after the Fishing boat rammed and capsized a smaller coat guard boat. President Hagans is expected to adress the issue during a weeekend sitting of the Parliamentary Congress tomorrow. Already, the Indepedence Party PC in the Congress, Debra Trout, is calling for a non-confidence vote. 3 men were arrested by the CNP today for allegedly plotting to smuggle refugees from the Tyrsis Imperium into the country illegally. The plot involved flying the illegal aliens to Darrowmere, where they would sneak across the border. On that note, several shots were fired at a Coocoostan Military patrol along the border with Darromere early this morning. The shots came from a "technical" or a Truck with a heavy machine gun mounted on it. No injuries were reported, although some of the attackers may have been injured when the patrol fired back. Darrowmere has become increasingly violent in recent months, as the numerous clans and militias fight turf battles, which a humanitarian crisis as the result. The Trinkomali Clan that controls the entire border with Coocoostan, as well as a significant portion of the north, enlists local tribesmen to act as a frontier guard. The Clan is beleived to be sponsoring the isolated seperatist bandit attacks in the Coocoo Autonomous Oblast. Finally, in CHL action tonight, game 1 of the final series went tonight in front of a sellout crowd at South Coocoobad Arena, with Panjuhr Elite scoring in the final minute to defeat Intel Coocoobad 3-2. Game #2 goes Sunday night also at the SCA. Firstly on regional view tonight, BSC presents the articles of the Dinarastan Freedom Fighter. BSC would also like to reinterate its position of not brodcasting the State-run medias of countries that do not allow for a free and open democracy. |

Good Evening, this is Salman Adhakov with the 11 o'clock news on 1230AM, BSC Radio Coocoobad, 950 in Panjuhr, 830 in Ulgava and 1170 in Anadahl, as well as Channel 4 Nationwide. Today in the Parliamentary Congress, a raucous filibuster in the morning over Inheritance Tax Legislation, which was dismissed. Independent PC Lawrence Bloom read aloud from the Communist Manifesto, claiming it was what the Labour government was moving towards. The issue was eventually dismissed and while a joyous Bloom celebrated in the press gallery calling it "The first of many victories against the communist reincarnates of the Labour Party", the same Labour Government set to work. They introduced legislation in the afternoon session to ban such filibusters, which passed with support from the Labour/National/Green Left coalition. The rightist Heritage/Independence/Bloom coalition voted against. Four fishermen detained in Tevi Milou for illegal fishing arrived home today in Coocoobad. The four were initially charged with illegal fishing, but after both their captain, who remains in jail and the Coocoostani government argued they had no role in the descision, the charges were dropped. However, the Captain, Steve D'Agostino of Kalibad, and another crew member remain jailed on various charges. On the ice Tonight, Intel Coocoobad defeated Panjuhr Elite, 3-2 in game 3 of the CHL championship series to take a 2-1 series lead. Intel scored the winner only 30 seconds after Elite made it 2-2. The Coocoostan Fighting Ibix hockey team has been selected for the EPHC in Xiopothos. Jay Mitchell, of Intel Coocoobad will be Captain, with Alex Starukhin and Andrei Stolypin, both of Coocoobad Red Menace(The team that was PLAC Coocoobad this past season) acting as alternates. The complete roster is posted on the EPHC "Website" We talked today with Marco Puhdal, the Executive Director for the 2006 team. Our Greg Crozier conducted the short interview. GC: Marco, first of all, why did you select so many juniors, including your own son, J.P. Puhdal, to the team? MP: Well, J.P. was the team MVP for us in Anadahl this year and was involved in every goal we scored. He's likely #1 in the draft and we felt we could go with him. His two teammates I picked are less well-known, but solid players. I picked Mark Hawthorne because he has so much potential and I hope that the veteran Defence corps we have can help him mature enough to give him a shot at being picked in the KHL draft he's trying to enter. GC: Now Marco, why didn't Coocoostan submit a bid for the tournament, Coocoostanis largely love hockey and would've turned out in droves. MP: True Greg, but the requirement was for three 12,000 seat arenas. The South Coocoobad Arena, which meets those Requirements, was under construction, we would've had to intstall temporary pipes for making ice in the War Memorial Gymnasium and one other place to qualify. We're moving in that direction though, as the Schultz Credit Union Palace, the old Army Sports Palace, is likely to be expanded to just over 12,000 and new arenas are in the works for Panjuhr and Anadahl, which are both big enough to handle them. The Kaygorodov government wasn't going to support a bid until we had three permanent arenas ready and since we didn't we didn't bother. GC: Tell me about the other teams. MP: Well, the returning champions, Kelssek are very similar to us, I think they're what we would be, with their talent pool and deep hockey roots. Remember, the KHL has been around for over 50 years. We've only been playing organized hockey in the Former Soviet Union for that long. They're a passive team, like us as well. Xiopothos and Packilvania I don't know too much about, the hosts, Xiopothos will obviously have an advantage, while Packilvania has a team of....Neko-meemee? Is that right? Which will be a distraction we'll have to overcome. The Free Pacific team is actually called "The Underdogs" and rightfully so. They're more participants to wave the flag and give hockey a boost in the FPS and in that regard I wish them luck. They have a co-ed team, so maybe they can be the first country to develop the men's and women's games at the same time. GC: What does this mean for the CHL? MP: Basically, it means our players will be scouted by teams from the KHL and other high-level leagues, while our scouts will be there as well. I know one of ours is heading over to see the FPS team namely, to see if there are any juniors worth bringing back. He'll scout for the Serpents women's team as well. GC: Can you predict your finish? MP: Not quite yet, the tournament isn't finalized. I can say we'll win at least one round robin game, if not more. We've got the advantage of being a new participant with a skill level not far behind the elite. I can tell you training camp begins two days after the CHL finals end, whenever that ends up being at the Anadahl Rec Complex. Admission for spectators is by charity. It's the only chance you'll get to see the team, although we're trying to schedule some exhibition matches against either foreign or domestic professionals. The plan this year is to really get to know the East Pacific, so we can bring the best team, with the best tactics to next year's tournament, which I can tell you the CHF will be trying to bring our way. Thanks Greg. That's the news for tonight and for me, the final time. I've been the Chief Correspondent here at BSC since independence and it has been a pleasure. However, I've been offered a position as the producer of this program and will accept it. In my place, beginning tomorrow night, will be Greg Crozier, who you just saw. I will be on air from time to time, but starting tomorrow, I will be working largely in my planning role. Tonight on regional view, the FPSNN talks about the FPS Under Dogs for the EPHC. Good evening, this is Greg Crozier, from the BSC Studios in Cocoobad, on BSC Television and Radio, nationwide. The Green Party leadership candidates for the convention later this month have been finalized, with current leader Ada Fielder running for re-election, with three PCs, Tim Herbert, Craig Blain and Genevive Chew running as well. The party is attempting to rebound after winning only 4 of the 15 seats it ran for in the Parliamentary Congress, with Fielder garnering just 3% of the vote for president. The party is largely irrelevant in the PC, as with just four single votes, it is nearly powerless. The National Party leadership convention has also been tentatively scheduled for the summer, with Defence Secretary Phillip Arnold the early frontrunner. The other partys leadership situations are much more clear. With Tammy Hagans job as Labour Party head secure and Madeline Tang surprisingly being re-elected Heritage Party leader, the only other party leadership is that of the Independence Party, which has yet to have a leadership review for Veronica Blakely. Blakely finished second in the Presidential race and helped the new neo-conservative party elect its first PC as well as gain the support of the lone independent PC. The leadership review has not yet been held and it is coming into question wether it will be held at all. The Coocoostan Military activated its latest units today: Air: 250 Bomber Squadron "Seagulls" based at 2 Wing Panjuhr Sea: Fremantle Class Cutters CNV "Ibix" CNV "Gazelle" Comissioned today in Nigoval after being purchased from their government for an undisclosed amount, the two vessels are being given the training exercise period known as "Workups" on the way to Aubrey, where the CM has secured an agreement with Tenkos Oil company to use their port facilities. In sport, the first Championship Boxing matches in four years were held tonight at the Panjuhr Arena in front of a packed house of 4,500. In Heavyweight, Tiny Harrison knocked out Ron Yeltsin in the third round. Yeltsin, a relatively new pro, knocked down Harrison once, after he himself was knocked down, before being knocked down twice in the third round. In the main event, the Lightweight title was decided, with Maxim Glukhov knocking out Henrik Jonnson in the third. The choice of Jonnson as Glukhov's opponent was questioned, as he has little experience outside of Novice Amateur. He fought with potential, although the Kalibad native Glukhov was clearly the better trained fighter and stronger. The next title night will be in April at the South Coocoobad arena, with all six weight classes sanctioned by the CBC fighting. In game 4 of the CHL final series, Intel Coocoobad defeated Panjuhr Elite 3-1. The series is now tied at 2 and headed back to the Capital for game 5 on Saturday night. That's the news. Tonight on Regional View, the KBC is first. Good night. |

Good evening, this is Greg Crozier, from the BSC Studios in Cocoobad, on BSC Television and Radio, nationwide. President Tammy Hagans took to the airwaves this evening to announce the plan for transition of power in Tevi Milou. She confirmed that it will only be the city of Aubrey itself and some suburban areas that will become part of the Country on April 1st. The rest of the nation will be allowed to reconfederate with Kelssek. Hagans defended the purchase of only the city, saying that she beleives the rest of the Territory should be allowed self-determination. The city will be classified as the first Federal City in the country, meaning it will have much less self-government than the two districts, two oblasts and one republic that make up the rest of the nation. The CHL's season ended tonight with the seventh game of the National Cup finals with Panjuhr Elite at Intel Coocoobad, in front of a sellout crowd of 14,500 at South Coocoobad Arena. Let's look at the highlights, in the 2nd period, Panjuhr opened the scoring when Brent Liang beat Dave Rawlins through the five-hole for a 1-0 lead. Intel tied the game a minute into the third when Brent Zahradnik's long shot eluded Ilya Soglubov to make it 1-1. Both teams fought hard to the whistle, but the game went into overtime. Here's the winner with nine minutes gone, Son Uselman has the call. "...and It's Wong in over the line for Coocoobad. A shot from the right side, stopped, rebound! SCORES! JAY MITCHELL! The rebound bounced to the captain Mitchell who was alone in between the hash marks and he buried it, high blocker-side! Intel wins, the National Cup!" Intel wins the seventh game 2-1 in overtime in what fans are calling the best playoffs since independence. The CM has begun the search for two men beleived killed in a float plane crash on Lake Kali, 40 kilometres northwest of Kalibad. The plane is beleived to have crashed while landing. The CM says two swift boats as well as a C160 aicraft are involved in the search. Finally tonight, Former PLAC Marshal Wally Ushtal has joined the Independence Party and plans to run for the Parliamentary Congress in December's elections. Ushtal clashed heavily with the Labour government, leading to his firing. He was long rumoured for sacking, but was only fired after ordering a military exercise along the Kelssekian border, which provoked an angry response from that country. That's the news. First tonight on regional view, BBC Dannistan. Good Night. |
