Unfortunately, at approximately 0230 UTC on Tuesday, January 16th, 2007, the nation Atlantis Capitol, a long-standing member of the East Pacific, was ejected and banned from the region for having a number of 76 endorsements. The member was notified by telegram that the ban will be in effect until after the next update, at which point the ban will be lifted, and said nation will be permitted to return to the East Pacific at his or her discretion.

As always, it is a terrible experience to have to eject and ban one of our own, especially when that nation has been with the region for longer than I. I do not enjoy the act, unless of course the nation really deserved a swift kick in the rear (i.e. someone endo-swapping, seeking the delegacy, etc.). But in the case of Atlantis Capitol, this was not so. But as I mentioned to Atlantis Capitol, he or she was not the first nation, and will not be the last to be removed from the region. I also mentioned that the endorsement cap is taken very seriously, and is strictly enforced as a result. Hence why he or she was booted, at least temporarily.
