Todays Headline from New BLCTV News. Full stories available on www.newblctvnews.bl (Articles also available in English, Dannistrian and Dovakhanese) BREAKING NEWS: Stephen T. Ding embroiled in political scandal. Investigation launched over death threats sent to King Warren. ![]() Opposition leader Stephen T. Ding (Pictured above) of the Conservatives has been embroiled in a political scandal for allegedly sending two abusive letters to the monarch of Warre. The letters sent by Mr Ding comes when King Warren sent a letter to President Im regarding the Listonian conflict and discouraging him to declare war against Vekaiyu, Elafos or Warre and comparing the Kashgar situation in Bai Lung Dalu to that of the plight in Listonia. President Im responded by advising King Warren against the comparisons and that all Kashgars are treated and respected equally. Shortly after President Im sent the letter, Mr Ding spoke out against Im's stance to stay neutral during the conflict. Followed by a session in the lower house, Mr Ding allegedly wrote two letters containing gratuitous language and made threats to bomb Warre. Prime Minister Li An Ying has expressed his concern for Ding's behaviour.
Speaking on behalf of President Im, PM Li has stated that an investigation has been launch as to why Ding was allowed to send the letter behind the back of the government. All Conservatives MPs have defended their leader's stance on the matter and have accused President Im of restricting freedom of speech. |

Todays Headline from New BLCTV News. Full stories available on www.newblctvnews.bl (Articles also available in English, Dannistrian and Dovakhanese) BREAKING NEWS: Dahniar Laahm condemns Bai Lungese rule: 'Nanren people put through hell'. Kashgar insurgents kill at least 32 through bombings and shooting sprees. ![]() The 14th Dahniar Laahm (Pictured above) has launched a fierce attack on Bai Lungese in his 'Nanren homeland', saying his people have experience 'hell on earth'. Over 3 centuries of Bai Lungese rule have cause "untold suffering", the expelled spiritual leader said, accusing Pyongjing of creating a climate of fear. He also repeated his demand for Mao island's "legitimate and meaningful autonomy". A spokesman for President Im have dismissed the Dahniar Laahm's attack as a lie and insisted its rule had benefited Nenrenians. The Dahniar Laahm's speech, in Dannistra Onn, Dannistaan, came on the 340th anniversary when Bai Lungese Korean ancestors entered the country. Commentators have noted that the Dahniar Laahm's words were different from his usual peaceful comments. This is perhaps a sign of the exaperation and frustration he must feel over Bai Lung's stance. President Im has repeatedly apologised for the brutal treatment of the Nanren people by the previous governments, but has insisted that Bai Lung is still under the control of the Bai Lungese people. Meanwhile, a series of near-simultaneous attacks consisting of four shootings and a bombing have taken place in the mainland. ![]() In Western Xinjiang, a Kashgar man walked into a school and fired indiscriminately in the class rooms and the corridors, moving from room to room, shooting his victims in the head. 12 students and 3 teachers died at the scene. The perpetrator fled the scene and killed a by-stander. From there, he hijacked a car and headed East to the Vekaiyu border. When the car slid off the road, he fled by foot, fatally injuring the driver. The driver was able to alert police before losing conscience and eventually died at hospital. There was a shootout with the police at a local garage, resulting in the death of a mechanic. The gunman turned the gun on himself, ending the spree. 16 people have died in the shootings. ![]() In New Qinghai, 90 miles south west of Xinjiang, a man also believed to be of Kashgar origin, started the shooting at a petrol station in the outskirts of the city, no deaths reported. Later on, the man went to a nearby trailer park and fatally injured 5 people before stealing a car and performing drive-bys on various people. The shooter drove to a shop some 3 miles from the original crime scene, killing 5 others in a shop. The spree came to an end when the shooter was surrounded by police and took his own life. 11 people, including the perpetrator, died. ![]() A 3rd attack involved the death of two Bai Lungese soldiers at a training camp in Xinjiang. According to eyewitnesses, two men of Kashgar origin disguised themselves as fast food delivery men and started shooting at the barracks, killing two soldiers and injuring four others. The men fled the scene and are still on the run. ![]() A 4th shooting happened in Huxi, central mainland, where Kashgar gunmen ambushed and killed a policeman as he and a colleague investigated a complaint of broken windows in the home of a member of the public. The colleague was injured in the attacks and is in a stable condition. ![]() A 5th incident involved two home made bombs being detonated and killing 3 people and injuring 9 others, as well as a few vehicles destroyed by the blasts. The incident took place at Wushen, West of the mainland. ![]() The 5 incidents coincided with the upcoming 50th anniversary of the Kashgar uprising against Bai Lungese occupation, which took place on 27th March. It is the worst case of terrorism in Bai Lung Dalu since the Xinjiang Massacre last year, which saw Kashgars barricaded themselves inside two hotels, a car bombing and a nightclub set on fire. The terrorist organisation, Kashgar Liberation Movement (KLM) have claimed responsibility for all 5 attacks. They posted on their website that the Bai Lungese will experience more shootings and bombings until 'Kashgarstan is freed from the highly oppressive slanty eyed, Oriental pigs'. ![]() The Kashgar spiritual leader Tentsin Farabhazi, has referred to the attacks in the mainland as 'justifiable' against 'illegal and aggressive Bai Lungese occupation' and hailing the KLM as 'legitimate freedom fighters'. He and hundreds of thousands of Kashgars were seen celebrating todays massacre. ![]() Prime Minister Li An Ying (Pictured above) has condemned the attacks in Bai Lung Dalu, calling it 'beyond comprehension' and has called for a day of mourning in the wake of the attacks. Xinjiang mayor Wu Hé Mén has sent his condolences to the families of the victims who died in today's massacre. He stated in his televised interview at BLCTV, that he will ensure that the perpetrators of other 3 incidents will be caught. BREAKING NEWS: Stephen T. Ding arrested over corruption charges. ![]() Conservative leader, Stephen T. Ding (Pictured above) has been arrested on suspicion of bribery and tax evasion. According to a spokesman for the Home Secretary, the 49 year old Conservative politician was allegedly giving Anti-Communism group party member Dong Ping Gao a large sum of cash of an estimated worth of BL$250,000 in exchange for supporting a motion to oust President Im from power. The deal was allegedly made on 22nd January, just a day before the motion to oust President Im took place. Mr Ding's lawyer has denied that his client had been dishing out money to any critic of President Im. Mr Ding also faces charges relating to tax evasion. Todays Headline from New BLCTV News. Full stories available on www.newblctvnews.bl (Articles also available in English, Dannistrian and Dovakhanese) Stephen T. Ding cleared of corruption charges. ![]() Conservative leader Stephen T. Ding (Pictured above) has been released from jail after spending 4 months in police custody. The opposition leader was detained by police back in March after allegedly bribing an independent MP to support a motion to oust President Im from power, effectively forcing a snap election in the country. However, after 3 months of extensive investigation by the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) found that there has been no evidence to suggest that Mr Ding bribed Dong Ping Gao. Speaking outside the Pyongjing Central Police Stations, he has accused the President of behaving unruly and has called for an immediate election.
A spokesman for President Im defended the long period of detention.
Kasghgar riots kill 200 people. ![]() Rioting between Bai Lungese and Kashgar groups have continued 1 week since it has started in the mainland capital of New Xinjiang. To date, an estimated 200 people have died in the riots, approximately 150 of the 200 died being Bai Lungese nationals. Over 1,000 people have been left injured. The riots took places several days after the death of two Kashgars at the Zhongri Toy Factory in Guangbei, 3 miles north of New Xinjiang, where many migrant workers are employed. Allegedly, a female Bai Lungese worker was reportedly harrassed by Kashgar co-workers in their residence quarters. Rumours over rape at were subsequently initiated by a disgruntled ex-worker. Overnight tensions at the factory led to a full blown ethnic brawl between Kasghars and Bai Lungese. In the ensuing violence, two Kashgar co-workers were killed. ![]() Both President Im and the Kashgar spiritual leader Tentsin Farabhazi have accused each other for causing the incident. While addressing the parliament, President Im has blamed Kashgar separatists for causing the riot including spiritual leader Tentsin Farabhazi. ![]()
However, the Kashgar spiritual leader has re-iterated his 21st century Holocaust statement last year and claimed that the riots were the first steps to total genocide. He blames President Im for failing to protect the Kashgar workers during the brawl and for failing to arrest those involved in their murder. ![]()

Todays Headline from New BLCTV News. Full stories available on www.newblctvnews.bl (Articles also available in English, Dannistrian and Dovakhanese) Government to release terminally ill Dong Men bomber. ![]() Secretary of state Zhou Min Lang has announced today that the convicted Dong Men bomber, Ardbeldaset Koskov Eul-Murgraii (Pictured above) will be released on 'compassionate grounds'. Mr Eul-Murgraii, who is 57 and ethnically Kashgar, was jailed in 2001 for the atrocity which claimed 270 lives in 1988. He was flown in from the mainland to Mao island where late dictator Chen Jong Sun made a surprise decision to imprison Mr Eul-Murgraii for life, sparing him the death penalty that the Stalinist leader prefers to give to offenders. Mr Chen has always claimed in his lifetime, that jailing him would be an effective propaganda machine intended to scare the Kashgar people and keep them under control. During this time, he was subjected to extensive torture and then treated for injuries before being tortured again. Mr Eul-Mugraii claims his flight to Pyongjing was the most traumatising moment in his life as flying is prohibited in Bischkekism. The decision to release Mr Eul-Mugraii, who has terminal prostate cancer, was made by the government. A police envoy left Pyongjing, where Mugraii served his sentence, just an hour after the announcement of his release was made. It was greeted by angry jeers from a large group of protesters. The government said it had consulted widely before Mr Zhou made his decision on applications for Murgraii's compassionate release or his transfer to jail in the mainland. He told a media conference that he rejected the application for a prisoner transfer. However, after taking medical advice it was expected that three months was a "reasonable estimate" of the time Murgraii had left to live. Mr Zhou also stressed that that he accepted the conviction and sentence which had been handed to Murgraii.
Conservative leader Stephen T. Ding has highly objected to the release and has called for an snap election.
Kashgar spiritual leader Tenstin Farabhazi gave a more positive but mixed reaction to the release of Mr Eul-Murgraii. He praised Im's decision but criticised him for not releasing the other Kashgar political prisoners.
Mr Eul-Murgraii will be sent back to the mainland via boat as per his request where he will spend the last few months to live. He has refused to comment on his release. |

Full stories available on www.newblctvnews.bl (Articles also available in English, Dannistrian and Dovakhanese) Kobayashi Taro transfered to Kinmen Prison after assault. ![]() Former interim admin Kobayahi Taro (Pictured above) has been transfered to Kinmen Prison after a brawl involving him and 3 others took place in Pyongjing Central Penitentiary. According to reports, the incident took place in the prison's shower room when 3 men approached Mr Kobayashi, asked him if he was Kobayashi Taro and threw punches at him. Prison guards quelled the situation very quickly and Mr Kobayashi was treated for minor injuries to the face and torso. The incident was said to be unprovoked. Mr Kobayashi will be moved to the high security Kinmen prison located 2 miles north of Zibo for safety reasons in fear of more reprisal attacks by fellow prisoners. The 50 year old former leader was charged last year for the rape of prostitute Yang Jie Jie, as well as contempt of court. He was given 35 years for his role in the rape. Stephen T. Ding: Subsequent anniversaries of Chen Jong Sun's death must be banned. ![]() Conservative leader Stephen T. Ding has called for all tributes to late dictator Chen Jong Sun to be outlawed under his government. The ban comes when hundreds of thousands of his supporters, including all the elected members of the Marxist party, gathered outside what would be his place of residence, now the Presidential Office building to pay tribute to Chen, who died 3 years to this day. Mr Ding has been a lifelong vocal critic of the late Stalinist dictator, claiming that his policies has wiped off a large portion of the population through the rationing programs as well as torturing many political activists. Mr Ding also criticised Chen's role in the restriction of the trade industry, both domestic and international.
President also voiced concerns in regards to the tributes, but argues that banning a tribute would be unpopular. Suzuki Nozomu defects to Conservative party. ![]() Former Secretary of the Bai Lung Labour Party Suzuki Nozomu (Pictured above) has defected to the Conservative Party. The 67 year old has stated that the policies made by his former party were 'too liberal' and that President Im's handling of the Kashgar problems in the mainland were not tough enough. Mr Suzuki has released a short statement explaining his defection to the Conservative party.
Wei Jia Na, the spokesman for President Im expressed disappointment to Mr Suzuki's defection.

Todays Headline from New BLCTV News. Full stories available on www.newblctvnews.bl (Articles also available in English, Dannistrian and Dovakhanese) BREAKING NEWS: Labour Party loses out in annual local council elections. ![]() The Labour Party government has suffered a crushing defeat in the annual local council elections for the first time since being the ruling party for nearly one year. The government has reported a huge loss of over 500 council seats, with the biggest gainers went to the Conservative party with gains of over 470 seats. Far-left party Marxist Party also gained 49 more seats from last year. The Labour government also reported losses of 9 council areas while the Conservatives gained control of 13 areas, 4 of which were previously NOC (No Overall Control). The elections were held yesterday with polling stations opening nationwide from 7am to 7pm. A turnout of 83% was reported, an increase of 2% from last year. Factors cited for the decreasing support for the Labour Party includes the hugely unpopular Bai Lung Border Act 2009 which severely restricts travel to the Mainland. This year also saw an increase in Sales Tax by 5% causing further friction between him and fellow members of the cabinet. Conservative leader Stephen T. Ding (Pictured above) spoke positively of the results.
President Im's approval ratings have also plummeted to 28% down from 39% in October while disapproval ratings have shot up to 72%. ![]() President Im to partially lift Mainland restrictions. ![]() President Im has announced that travel restrictions to the mainland will be partially lifted effective from tomorrow, a government spokesman has claimed. Core actions implicated in the Bai Lung Border Act 2009 includes restricting flights to the mainland to once a day and the establishment of a newly enforced border gate at the Vekaiyu border. Back in February, a conflict between the nations of Listonia and Vekaiyu erupted. Despite alleviating travel restrictions, the revised act will continue to ban Mainland migration, a move criticised by human rights for denying refugees from Vekaiyu to flee the bloody conflict. Speculations of Im's plummeting approval ratings and the lose of over 500 seats in the council elections has lead to the amendment of concessions to the restrictions but this was vehemently denied by President Im. The government has now issued a revised list of measures.
![]() Controversial plans to introduce the nuclear deterrent Taepodong-3 has been passed through by a comfortable margin despite half of the entire government voting against moves. The Labour government has been pushing forward the Taepodong-3 programme since the government's formations. However, the Listonian conflict early this year has resulted in further moves to initiate the nuclear deterrent programme sooner rather than later. Despite a colossal rebellion from the government's own backbenchers and senior members of the cabinet as well as opposition from the other parties, the Taepodong-3 Armament Act 2009 has been passed by a majority of 115 thanks to unanimous support from the opposition party. An undisclosed Dannistrian company will be providing 58 nuclear armed Taepodong-3 submarine-launched ballistic missiles and around 200 nuclear warheads on four Type 96 submarines. Critics of the nuclear deterrent claim that the country is not politically stable to own such weaponry, due to the fact that 2 different governments have ruled the country in only 2 years. They also claim the most unstable autocratic regime may use the weapons against their Dannistrian neighbours. |

Todays Headline from New BLCTV News. Full stories available on www.newblctvnews.bl (Articles also available in English, Dannistrian and Dovakhanese) President Im's approval ratings sink to 31%: Im must intervene in missile crisis claims opposition. President Im faces another crushing blow to his presidency when an opinion poll gave a further drop in his approval rating by 4% in comparison to previous opinion polls. BLPC (Bai Lung Polling Council) shows President Im's approval ratings decreasing from 35% earlier this month to 31%. Major factors for the dissatisfaction towards President Im's job include lack of military involvement in the Vekaiyun-Listonian missile crisis (67%) and the handling of the Kashgar problems in the mainland (22%). Almost 6 months ago, the nation of Vekaiyu sold missiles to neighbouring country Listonia, causing international concern. Vekaiyu in particular, is directly bordering Bai Lung Dalu to the west. Residents of Bai Lung Dalu have repeatedly expressed fears that the government of Listonia could use the missiles on them. Despite this, a peace treaty is rumoured to be underway. In the same poll, almost 70% also call for Im to hold a snap general and Presidential election. Nearly 75% claim they would vote for Ding as president. Outside the Bai Lungese Parliament, all 174 members of the opposition party and 5 independent MPs have picketed outside due to leader Stephen T. Ding's 18 day suspension, denouncing Im as undemocratic.
Last week, Ding read out a letter he sent to Nahrin Union Prime Minister Kenny Cuthbert in protest of their Restricted Travel List, which forbids their citizens from entering these countries. The letter was deemed defamatory by speaker Cho Song Jia and had ordered Ding to back down on the claims. After refusing to withdraw the comment twice, Ding was thrown out of the chamber and banned from parliament for 18 days. The group are reportedly blocking Labour MPs from entering the chamber but have since been ordered to picket a few metres from the entrance by police on health and safety grounds. |

Newspaper readers give 29% thumbs up to President. Half of public favour impeachment of President Im. A senior member of the Im cabinet has tendered his resignation, Wei Jia Na, the spokesman to President Im reports. Secretary of Defense Tyson Sie stood down yesterday after a 30 minute one-on-one meeting with the President debating the Vekaiyun-Listonian missile crisis and the possible repercussions. The talks however, fell through and Mr Sie announced his resignation as Secretary of Defense in the Presidential Office building with immediate effect. Wei Jia Na spoke of Mr Sie's resignation.

BAI LUNG GOVERNMENT PLANS TO ATTACK MISSILE BASES IN LISTONIA ![]() President Im has officially announced that he will directly intervene in the Vekaiyun-Listonian missile crisis after months of decreasing unpopularity. In the President's annual Christmas message, he publicly confirmed that military intervention will be involved in the Vekaiyun-Listonian region. In the message, he pointed out the serious concern within residents of the mainland, who fear that the missiles can be used to target the mainland.
President Im also made mention of forming an alliance with other nations who have shown concern to the country.
Public reaction to Mr Im's speech has been overwhelmingly positive and for the first time in Im's tenure, his approval ratings went up 39%, up 10% from Monday. The liberal wing of the Labour Party, the Democratic Party and the Marxist Party have sharply criticised President Im for failing to fulfill a long term promises to remain neutral in the crisis by appeasing the opposition party. The Democratic Party leader Cheng Pyong Pei went further by calling Im a career politician and a poodle.
By contrast, the Conservative Party leader Stephen T. Ding spoke warmly of the move, although criticised for delaying such moves.
The date to intervene is currently unknown, but a spokesman may suggest fighter bombers could be deployed as soon as 2 weeks. |

Over 1,500 people have been arrested by police who were gathering outside the Presidential Office Building, celebrating in what would be Stalinist dictator Chen Jong Sun's 91st birthday. Most were ordered to move away from the building by the police and given a stern warning without further incident. However, there were some intense scuffles between supporters and police. More than 48 hours ago, the government officially passed the Bai Lung Anti-Dictator Act 2010 with a comfortable majority, thanks to unanimous support from the opposition party and most members of the Labour government. This means any celebration/glamourfication of the former Stalinist ruler on his birthday or on his death, will result in a BL$2,500 fine and/or 1 year prison sentence. In response, the opposition party have announced their withdrawal of the government's vote of no confidence in response to the imposed ban. Todays Headline from New BLCTV News. Full stories available on www.newblctvnews.bl (Articles also available in English, Dannistrian and Dovakhanese) President Im bans visitors of Nahirn Union: "Kenny Cuthbert is an international criminal if he enters Bai Lung and military action is necessary." The Nahrin Union is the first ever country to have it's citizens banned from travelling to Bai Lung by the government, in accordance to the Bai Lung Travel Restrictions Act 2009 ![]() Earlier this week, the government of the Nahrin Union expressed concern to President Im in regards to mounting pressure relating to his reluctance to use military intervention in the Veikayun-Listonian missile crisis due to the installment of missile bases in Listonia. As a result, Im's closest members of the cabinet supported a motion of no confidence as well as the entire main opposition, the Conservative Party, for Im's initial refusal to launch a strike in Listonia. Public opinion polls gave an unfavourable view to Im's pacifist stance. Im also saw 2 motion of no confidence placed upon him in 4 weeks, one narrowly scuppered and one withdrawn this week due to a new law forbidding celebration of Bai Lung's past dictators. Last week, Nahrin PM Kenny Cuthbert said that he would expel diplomats from his country, later revealed to be Nahrin born cleaners, as well as trade embargoes, claiming the unstable nature of the Bai Lungese government as the main reason for the sanctions.. President Im denies this claim and has stated that there have been no formal relations between the countries, and trade embargoes would have no effect as the two countries have historically never traded with each other since 1962. The Nahrin Union will fall into the Exclusion Zone, which forbids citizens of the Nahrin Union to enter Bai Lung. Those who flout the law gets 5 years prison sentence, and a BL$20,000 fine. High profile visitors like Kenny Cuthbert will also be arrested under the law and will receive 50 years prison sentence should he enter Bai Lung.
President Im also stated that military is a possibility if the Nahrin Union places further sanctions on Bai Lung, such as mass deportation of Nahrin born Bai Lungese.
The New Shenzhen Express opinion poll gives President Im a further increase of his approval ratings to 45%. Government makes hasty revision to Bai Lung Anti-Dictator Act 2010 The government has made a quick revision to the Bai Lung Anti-Dictator Act 2010 after a query from opposition leader Stephen T. Ding last week. The bill was previously applicable to former Stalinst dictator Chen Jong Sun, who ruled from 1962-2006 and dying from a stroke as a result from excessive alcohol consumption. The rushed revision also means that the Nationalist junta that preceded Chen will also fell foul of the law. Any tributes or celebrations to the former military government will also result in a BL$2.500 fine and/or 1 year prison sentence. Most of the parties in the lower chamber supported the revision, with the noted exception of the Marxist party who opposed the bill from the start. |

Todays Headline from New BLCTV News. Full stories available on www.newblctvnews.bl (Articles also available in English, Dannistrian and Dovakhanese) Opposition leader embroiled in cat eating scandal. Conservative leader Stephen T. Ding is under heavy criticisms from animal rights activists after consuming cat meat at a local restaurant in Pyongjing. The restaurant named, Ryu Kong, is noted for serving dishes made from virtually any animals including cats, dogs, turtles and even bears. Founded by it's namesake in late 2007, it has since attracted over 1 million customers annually, many of them repeat customers. It's success was also met with heavy criticisms from animal rights activists, culminating in daily protests calling for the restaurant to be shut down. The owner however, denies any animal cruelty, comparing cat meat to all other animal meat.
Mr Ryu also denies repeat customers assaulting the animal rights activists.
Amongst it's most notable customer is the opposition leader Stephen T. Ding, who was secretly being filmed visiting Ryu Kong Restaurant, ordering cat meatballs there and consuming the dish enthusiastically. While consuming the cat meat based dish, he reportedly made remark to a friend 'Mmmmm!!! I want more!!! A baby boy would be on my palates soon...' leading to many accusing Mr Ding of promoting cannibalism. He was also seen drinking 2 bottles of Tsingtao beer, despite being a Methodist, also drawing criticisms from Methodist church leaders for not abiding to their standards. Prominent Tory MPs were quick to jump onto Mr Ding's defense on consuming cat meat and alcohol. Suzuki Nozomu, once Labour MP, now Tory MP, defended his leader's choice of dishes, as well as his alcohol consumption.
There is no laws regarding animal cruelty in the country, but BLAES (Bai Lung Animal Ethics Society), the leading animal welfare organisation, is calling for laws to make cat and dog consumption illegal.
No Conservative politician, Upper or Lower house, has called for Ding's resignation, with unanimous support. Mr Ding's spokesman has yet to comment on the incident. |

Todays Headline from New BLCTV News. Full stories available on www.newblctvnews.bl (Articles also available in English, Dannistrian and Dovakhanese) Senator Feng calls for investigation on cat eating scandal. Upper house Senator Feng Da Shui is the first Conservative Party politician calling for an investigation to leader's Stephen T. Ding's involvement of cat consumption at a local restaurant in Pyongjing. Throughout the past 3 weeks, there has been a mixed reception to Ding's consumption of cat meat with condemnation from the Labour, Democrat and Marxist parties and support from the Conservatives and some independent MPs and Senators. Animal rights activists also weighed into the debate wether consumption of cats and dogs should be banned in the country. Despite the controversy, Mr Ding has only ate from the restaurant once. Today, Senator Feng, 57, is the first Conservative to break away from the party's mould and has called for an investigation to look for any serious misconduct of animal cruelty found in Ryu Kong Restaurant. A vegetarian since the age of 10. although his parents have forced him to eat meat frequently, he also called for Mr Ding to distance himself from Ryu Kong restaurants for the time being.
Reaction to Mr Feng's calls for an investigation have been virtually unanimously negative with calls from several MPs demanding his expulsion from the Conservative Party. Stephen T. Ding: Dannistrian ex-pats must apply for special visa or face severe jail time. Conservative leader Stephen T. Ding is calling for the Labour government to implement a 'Caution Zone' to supplement the existing 'Exclusion Zone' which bans citizens from that country to enter Bai Lung. One of the more notable features in the 'Caution Zone' which require ex-pats living in Bai Lung to apply for a 'special visa' to reside in Bai Lung must apply for an annual $500 visa. Failure to re-apply in time will result in a $10,000 fine and 15 years in jail. In comparison to the special visas, current non 'Caution Zone' visas are valid for 5 years, costing BL$250 for first time application and BL$120 for subsequent application. Dannistaan is said to be the first country to be added to the Caution Zone, leading to speculation that the move was made in response to the successful election of the extreme far-right Dannistrian Nationalist Party who are currently implementing new laws to ban employment of Bai Lungese immigrants. Some conservative commentators have started to accuse Ding of being a knee-jerk Tory for calling such laws. |

President Im to announce military intervention in Packilvania. President Im has announced that he will send 1 million troops to the nation of Packilvania amidst fears of an increasing imperialist nature of the country, a spokesperson for the president has revealed today.

Todays Headline from New BLCTV News. Full stories available on www.newblctvnews.bl (Articles also available in English, Dannistrian and Dovakhanese) BREAKING NEWS: Opposition leader to speak to press over embezzlement scandal. ![]() Conservative leader Stephen T. Ding will be holding a press conference at the Conservative headquarters in South Pyongjing, a spokesperson for Mr Ding has confirmed today. Speaking on behalf of Mr Ding, Mr Huang Shek has confirmed that the press conference will take place at 9.00AM on Saturday.
It will be the first interview with the media for the opposition leader since he was embroiled in an embezzlement scandal with business partner 'Johnnie' Huang Tse Cai, in which Mr Huang has accused Mr Ding of stealing over $50 million of stocks, shares and bearer bonds. Mr Ding has not spoken to the press since the scandal took place. Known to outside world as Ding-gate, Mr Ding has denied stealing any money from their joint account and according to went further in accusing Mr Huang of framing him in order to advance the policies of the governing Labour party and to marginalise the Conservative opposition. Mr Ding's approval ratings have dropped dramatically especially with the cat eating scandal, his consumption of alcohol and his eldest daughter publicly outing herself as a lesbian last month. Only 37% approve of his performance with 63% expressing disapproval. By contrast, President Im is experiencing relatively high approval ratings at 67% compared to 33% disapproval, mostly due to his role in implementing universal health care in the country and for his stance against the Nahrin Union. Nationalist gift to be sold in auction. Controversy is stirring up amongst the nation as a gift to the right-wing Nationalists by a former Nahrin Union dictator, is to be put in an auction in a months time despite a lengthy debate in parliament whether to confiscate the item and contact the Nahrin government or allow it to go through the auction. Back in February, cleaner Baek To Ni claims to have discovered the watch during the Bai Lung-Dannistaan war 2007 and has since been identified as a genuine antique from the era. The watch which was given in 1955 by General Alan Theodore Smyth as a gift to the Nationalist general Kong Chi-Hom during Smyth's 2 day visit of the country. Visiting the country for a total 17 times and one point making 8 visits in one year, Smyth showered his Bai Lungese counterpart with gifts as a goodwill gesture. The Bai Lung-Nahrin Union has since been severed in 1962 when the Nationalist government was overthrown by Chen Jong Sun and since Smyth's overthrowing in 1975, there has been no diplomatic relations since. The most notable features found in the wrist watch are the number of minerals which comprise the clock face. Antique experts have confirmed that at least 20 different kinds of mineral were used in the making of the 55 year old watch, some very rare and expensive. It also features the insignia of the general behind the clock face. The exotic nature of the watch suggests that a bidding price will start at BL$2 million at Christie's Pyongjing, with watch enthusiasts from Kelssek, Dannistaan, Dovakhan, Warre and Bai Lung are amongst the fiercest bidders to claim a piece of history. Due to the claims that it was found by Mr Baek during the Bai Lung-Dannistaan war 2007, the government are unable to the Government Property Act 2007 which claims of discovered important heirlooms (such as Chen Jong Sun statuettes and gifts from the late Stalinst dictator) by anyone after January 2008 are considered to be government property. Failure to hand in any important antiques of the era will result in 10 years jail and BL$35,000 fine for theft of government property. There has been calls to apply this law retroactively, to prevent controversies like with the watch gift. This is currently opposed by the Conservatives but supported by Democrats and Marxists, but Labour support has been mixed. In addition to accusations of government theft, there has been fears that it would invoke hurtful memories of the brutal atrocities perpetuated by the Nationalist junta at the time. The sale of the watch would also cause further tensions between Bai Lung and the Nahrin Union, with the Cuthbert government likely to demand the return of the watch, with an apology from President as well as reparations. |

Todays Headline from New BLCTV News. Full stories available on www.newblctvnews.bl (Articles also available in English, Dannistrian and Dovakhanese) BREAKING NEWS: Stephen T. Ding accuses business partner of stealing stocks and shares. ![]() After a month of speculation over an embezzlement scandal between Conservative leader Stephen T. Ding and business parter, has held his first conference with the press since the incident took place, with much anticipation. Lasting 3 hours at the Conservative headquarters in South Pyongjing, reporters from different news stations started peppering Mr Ding with various questions such as economic and social policies of his party and past controversies but the most salient and requested inquiry is the embezzlement controversy regarding him and a business partner. The opposition leader has accused business partner Johnnie Huang Tse Cai for the first time, of perpetrating the theft of $50 million of stocks, shares and bearer bonds last month. Speaking to a crowd of over a hundred reporters, cameramen and closest allies, he insisted that the theft was on Mr Huang's part only.
The 50 year old leader also accused his partner of sympathising with the Labour Party as the primary motivation for the discrepancies in their bank account, referencing his partner's strong desire to switch to the government run Bank of Bai Lung.
Mr Ding finishes the accusation of Mr Huang's role in the recent fiasco by pointing out his penchant for reclusiveness from the media makes him more guilty than innocent by refusing to speak to anyone.
BLCTV news tried to contact Mr Huang through his agent with no success. Stephen T. Ding fires Senator Feng for 'dissidence' At the same conference, Mr Ding has announced that he would remove Senator Feng Da Shui as a Conservative for calling an investigation to alleged activities of animal cruelty at a local restaurant in Pyongjing, in which he was seen eating cat meat.

Mr Feng was disciplined at the Conservative Committee Board and the board of director's have unanimously voted for the expulsion of Mr Feng. Mr Feng will now run as an independent but can join another party if he so wishes. Todays Headline from New BLCTV News. Full stories available on www.newblctvnews.bl (Articles also available in English, Dannistrian and Dovakhanese) BREAKING NEWS: Kashgar spiritual leader resigns over sex scandal. ![]() The Kashgar spiritual leader Tentsin Farabhazi (pictured above centre) has officially resigned as the leader of the Kashgar people over a sex scandal, according to Kashgar media. Rumours of an extra-marital affair between Mr Farabhazi, 65, and a 20 year woman, erupted in the Kashgar media 2 weeks ago. According to Kashgar customs, having sex with a partner younger than 21 years old age is deeply frowned upon amongst the Kashgar diaspora and the family of the offending party/parties can use their discretion, usually dealt with by the usage of honour killing. Outside the Bala Hotel in Wuming city, Western Bai Lung Dalu, the spiritual leader announced this morning that he would resign with immediate effect and handed power of the Kashgar leadership to his running mate, Supoorimat Barkediev. He confessed to having a brief relationship with a 20 year old woman, but did not give the name of the partner and apologised to his wife for committing a sin to himself and of the Kashgar people.
As the now former Kashgar spiritual leader headed to his car, hundreds of Kashgars began to jeer at Mr Farabhazi, waving scimitars and started lobbing stones and bricks at the 65 year old, reportedly leaving lacerations in his torso, legs, thighs and head. Successor Barkediev also received injuries to his legs. As the car started moving, some of his former hardline supporters blocked his limo and threw bricks at the windscreen. President Im has promised the new Kashgar spiritual leader that he will renew negotiations between the two parties on the platform that bilateral talks will precipitate in a new ceasefire, followed by a peace treaty. The Kashgar leader is yet to comment on the conditions.
Although Barkediev is the incumbent leader, he falls short of the Kashgar Constitution which prohibits any person who succeeded to the presidency and served as president or acting president for more than 2 years. Mr Farabhazi was successfully re-elected on 15th May, nearly 1 month above the eligibility requirements to run 2 additional terms in addition to serving his predecessor's unfinished term. Mr Bakediev may run again in two years time but cannot run again after that. BREAKING NEWS: Mainland earthquake kills 2,000 people. ![]() Around 2,000 people have died and thousands more have been injured after a magnitude 7.2 quake hit the eastern part of Bai Lung Dalu, officials say. The powerful tremor struck remote Xin Tse-Ping county, 260 miles west of New Xinjiang, at 0749 EPT, at a shallow depth of 10km. Most of the building in the worst hit town of Mao were wrecked, and landslides have cut off roads. Police said hundreds of survivors had already pull from the rubble. As survivors in the isolated region passed the night in freezing temperatures, local rescue officials said the death toll had risen to 2,011. Various media earlier reported that at least 10,000 people were injured. A local resident of Mao told BLTCV almost all of the buildings in the village had been destroyed.
President Im has ordered citizens not to make unnecessary flights to the mainland for the time being in case if aftershocks follow. BREAKING NEWS: Opposition leader business partner dies in bizarre sex act. The business partner of opposition leader Stephen T. Ding has been found dead at his villa in Port Ourad, Dannistaan, in a bizarre sex act. Police were called into the scene when neighbouring residents complained of a foul smell inside Johnnie Huang's villa. When police broke down the door of Mr Huang's house, he was found in a compromising position, hanging naked with a noose tied around his neck, right hand firmly clutching on his penis, and with an erotic photo of a young lady. The police have ruled out that there was foul play involved in Mr Huang's death, and have officially give his reason of death as erotic asphyxiation. Witnesses have last seen Mr Huang entering his villa last week with no visitors entering his residency. Some relatives attempted to pay a visit to Mr Huang, only to receive a cold, angry request from the millionaire, demanding his visitors that he wishes to be left alone. His wive and only son got the worst of the demands, even when Mrs Huang threatened a divorce. Mr Huang was known for his reclusiveness after a business scam involving him and Conservative leader Ding, in which one accuses the other of stealing $50 million of stocks and shares from a joint bank account. Since the incident, Mr Huang has repeatedly avoided a barrage of questions by reporters on the on going fiasco. A diary left by Mr Huang contains long rambling of his hatred towards Ding and implies that the Conservative leader had an affair with his business partner's wife. Upon giving his reaction to Mr Huang's unexpected death, Mr Ding simply said to reporters "Case closed." Conservative Dannistrian broadcaster gets hacked briefly with anti-Dannistrian video. ![]() A conservative broadcasting channel gets hacked by an unknown source by playing a highly controversial video. The hijackers used equipment to interrupt HRD's signal for about 90 seconds by a video featuring a video showing the notorious 2008 University of For'af incident showing Bai Lungese students hazing 3 Dannistrian cleaners. The video (pictured above) resulted in a series of riots that resulted in the deaths of 6,815 Bai Lungese residents. The video also featured a distorted voice with a heavy Chinese accent urging people not to 'vote for the chappies'. The transmission then blacked out and cut off, and the hijack was over. The incident left the eponymous host of Glenn Du Beak Show flustered saying, "Well, if you're wondering what was that, I'll ask you too! Damn those interrupting liberals who cut my views half-way through!" Neither the hijacker nor the accomplices have been found but police are asking for any information relating to the HRD broadcast signal intrusion. |

Todays Headline from New BLCTV News. Full stories available on www.newblctvnews.bl (Articles also available in English, Dannistrian and Dovakhanese) BREAKING NEWS: Nahrin Watch will be returned if Bai Lung ban is lifted. President Im has re-iterated his intentions to return a 55 year old watch made from the Nahrin Union under General Theodore Smyth's regime on a simple condition that there is a bilateral withdrawal of both countries sanctions of each other, spokesman to the president reports.
Since early this year, the Nahrin Union has placed Bai Lung on their Restricted Travel List (RTL) for President's Im to get militarily involved in the Listonian war but such moves died in the lower house when a mixture of opposition composing of rebel Labour MPs, Marxist MPs and Democrat MPs voted no on a Listonian resolution. In retaliation, the president proposed economic sanctions to the Nahrin Union with an overwhelming majority voting in favour of adding the Nahrin Union to the Exclusion Zone, banning Nahrin Union citizens from visiting Bai Lung. Tensions between the two nations are further exacerbated when the aforementioned gift is due to go under the hammer in Mid-May, with neither side willing to lift sanctions on each other's nation. President Im has sent counterpart Kenny Cuthbert a message expressing wishes to engage in peaceful dialogue. Parliamentary and governmental systems to receive radical shakeups. The Labour government has announced that they would shake up the current Parliamentary and governmental systems by the next elections. Speculation on what changes are made are rife, ranging from a variety of issues: - Barring president candidates to run for a parliamentary seat simultaneously. - Giving more powers to the upper house, known as a 'checks and balances' system. If this system is implemented by the next election, some of the powers that the lower house possesses will be given to the upper house. There has been strong criticism of the current legislative system in which the lower house can pass pieces of legislation regardless of the outcome of the upper house. - Voting for a president will be determined through an electoral college vote rather than popular vote. - Right of recall for any MP deemed to give unsatisfactory performance to their constituents. - Increasing the threshold to call for a vote of no confidence on the legislative branch (NOT executive branch) from 175 (35%) to 299 (60%). President Im was faced with the motion over 500 times since inauguration, all proposed by Conservatives, with twice daily motions a common occurrence. President Im has stated that in the absence of Stephen T. Ding, the depute leader Ban Hee-Guo would propose a motion of no confidence on behalf of Ding. 490 proposals were made in 2009 alone with 10 proposals made this year. - A successful vote of no confidence requires both houses of Parliament voting yes with a 3/5 majority. - Impeachment of the President will also require 3/5 majority from both houses. The spokesman to President Im simply told the press there would be 'a massive shake up to our current system". A date for the massive parliamentary and governmental reforms is currently rumoured to be November but the spokesman neither confirm nor denied the claims. |

Todays Headline from New BLCTV News. Full stories available on www.newblctvnews.bl (Articles also available in English, Dannistrian and Dovakhanese) BREAKING NEWS: Train derails in outer Xinjiangxi city. WORST RAILWAY ACCIDENT SINCE ZIBO TRAIN CRASH OF 2008. ![]() A landslide has caused the derailment of a passenger train in the province of Tien Shan, with at least 19 people killed and 500 more wounded. The train crashed into dirt and debris blocking the tracks in Chen Shan at 1150, the railway ministry said. It had been making its way from Su Bei to the tourist area of Po Li. Chen Shan has been hit by heavy rains in recent days, causing landslides and flooding low-lying farms. The derailment in Xinjiangxi city is the worst railway incident since the Zibo train crash 2 years ago, which claimed 70 lives. An investigation is underway and the Xinjiangxi mayor Dong Bae Moon was reportedly at the scene to oversee the rescue operations. The locomotive and 10 of the 20 carriages appear to have overturned in the crash he outskirts of Xinjiangxi city. Some 5,000 rescuers comprising of fire-fighters, police and soldiers worked through the night to free survivors and extract bodies, using heavy cutting equipment to reach them. It is currently unknown how many passengers were on board at the time of the derailment. More than 800 passengers were evacuated from the train and 102 had been freed from the wreckage as of 0900 Monday. A railway police office told BLCTV News that each carriage had 150 seats and 5 of them had been 'severely damaged' President Im urged the railway authorities to re-open the line ASAP, and they are expected to be functioning again on Wednesday. About 7,500 cubic metres of mud and rock have cleared from the tracks. More than 1,750,000 residents in the area have been evacuated as a result of the flooding. Auction house will delay Nahrin antique watch to hold peace talks. Christie's Pyonging has made a last minute announcement to delay a 55 year old antique watch created during brutal dictator General Ted Smyth, a spokesman for the auction house has claimed. The antique item has proven to be a very contentious issue for Bai Lung-Nahrin relations due to the fact that it was created during a highly oppressive era for the country, causing painful memories to this day to the Nahrin public. The current Nahrin government has vigorously attempted to purge all reminders of the dictatorship including the return of the aforementioned item. So far, neither sides are willing to make concessions over this hot button topic. President Im has announced that he would temporarily remove PM Kenny Cuthbert from the Exclusion Zone and hold talks in Pyongjing and bring a peaceful closure to the controversial issue. The Nahrin government has yet to accept the invitation to Bai Lung. |

Todays Headline from New BLCTV News. Full stories available on www.newblctvnews.bl (Articles also available in English, Dannistrian and Dovakhanese) BREAKING NEWS: KASHGAR MILITANTS SHOOT DEAD 3 JUDGES IN DONG MEN, MAINLAND BAI LUNG. ![]() Three judges have been shot dead at a court in Eastern mainland area of Dong Men by armed men with assault rifles, reports say. Five other judges were also injured in the attacks by the same group, before they drove off hastily from the scene. The shooting happened just before 1200 EPT, at the Dingling District Court where the judges were taking part in an outdoor photo shoot. According to eyewitness reports, the attackers arrived in black saloons and started chanting out "Anabar Bishu" (Kashgari for 'Bischkek is great!") at the judges before opening fire at the judges. 5 hours after the drive by shooting, the Kashgar militant group Kashgar Liberation Movement has posted a video, claiming responsibility for the attacks and vowing to commit more acts 'of retribution' similar to today's shootings. The shooting at Dong Men caused painful memories to it's residents as it is the site of the 1988 Dong Men bombing, which has claimed 270 lives. Ardbeldaset Koskov Eul-Murgraii, the only person convicted of the bombing, was released last year on 'compassionate grounds'. The attacks come a day after President Im authorised the bombing of Kashgar settlements in Tangzhou, East Bai Lung Dalu, leaving 50 Kashgars dead. It was believed that head of the Kashgar Liberation Movement Bashir Farabhazi, also the eldest son of former Kashgar leader Tentsin Farabhazi was in the area at the time of the bombings. Subsequent reports have stated that Mr Farabhazi was not in the area during the bombings. President Im has released a statement, offering condolences to the families' deceased. East Dannistrian authorities to call for extradition of Conservative leader. Authorities in East Dannistaan has officially released an arrest warrant for opposition leader Stephen T. Ding over acts of fraud, a spokesman for the East Dannistrian government has said. Charges include claims of "theft of over $50 million worth of shares involving a Bai Lungese individual from a high position". Early this year, Ding was embroiled in a business scandal between him and business partner Johnnie Huang Tse Cai, with both parties accusing each other of theft. Mr Huang was found dead in his East Dannistaan house in a bizarre sex act. President Im will decide whether he should comply with the arrest warrant and extradite Mr Ding to East Dannistaan and face charges. Depute Conservative leader Ban Hee-Guo who is opposed to the extradition of her leader, has accused the Labour Party of exploitation.
Dennis Ků Xīn Ní Jī, representing the far-left division of the Labour government, has called for the immediate extradition of Mr Ding. In a short statement, he also threatened to impeach President Im if he did not comply with his request.
Spokesman for President Im have stated that they will look into the allegations committed by Mr Ding. |

Full stories available on www.newblctvnews.bl (Articles also available in English, Dannistrian and Dovakhanese) Labour party to make gains in annual local council and lower house elections. A poll published by the Sing Tao Daily give the government a huge advantage in the annual council elections with an 8 point lead. Labour came first in the poll with 43% of the vote, followed by opposition Conservative Party with 35%. The paper claimed that it would equate to a loss of 450 Conservative councillors and the gain of 400 Labour councillors. The government is expect to take back control of 7 councils from the 9 they have lost last year. President Im's approval ratings stand at 68%. Most attributed the high approval ratings of President Im in part for his tax cut policies, enacted earlier this year, to the middle and working class by 2.5% and 4.5% respectively. Most also spoke highly of Im's health care reform policies, bringing universal health care to the country. The same poll gave the government a further blow to the opposition with a 15 point lead in the lower house elections, up by 2 percent from the previous poll . With a mixed electoral system consisting of first past the post and proportional representation, the government is expected to pick up 7-10 more seats, Should this happen, the majority for the Labour government would be increased to 34 or 37, up from 27. The upper house elections will be held at the same time as the presidential election in 2012. |

Labour Party to make gains in upper house. President Im is likely to win re-election in 2012, a poll from the Sing Tao Daily has suggested. Presidential Im will not face any major opposition in the Labour Presidential primary elections. Similarly, Stephen T. Ding will also face no serious opposition in the Conservative Presidential elections. In a hypothetical make-up of the 2012 Presidential election conducted by the Sing Tao Daily newspaper, Im leads by a massive lead of 62% of the popular vote with Ding in a distant 35%. Other candidates only comprise 3% of the entire poll. The 2012 Presidential elections is the first election in which the President of Bai Lung is elected via electoral college votes. The government has announced that the number of college votes is determined by the number of MPs and Senators. If this reform is successfully passed in Parliament, the Presidential election would allot a maximum of 698 college votes. The same poll also gives the Conservatives a further blow in the 2012 upper house elections with Labour leading with 44% of the vote, whereas the opposition party only receives 42%, down from 72% from 2008. Translating votes into seats, the Conservatives are expected to lose 50 seats to the Labour party. |

Speculation is now rife over President Im's proposal to allow neighbouring country Allegheny to gain access to a Bai Lungese port as part of his government's new trade reforms. Critics of the proposed Law of the Sea treaty claim that if it is ratified by both President Im and President Allen Gordon, then it will result in jobs being outsourced to each others country. Populist economist Ross Pei Lo warned at the dangers of signing such treaties.
President Im is due to visit Allegheny sometime this month. |

Todays Headline from New BLCTV News. Full stories available on www.newblctvnews.bl (Articles also available in English, Dannistrian and Dovakhanese) Free trade agreement bill defeated in lower house. After 3 weeks of intense debate, the Allegheny-Bai Lung Free Trade Act has been defeated in the house of representatives, Prime Minister Li An Ying has confirmed to the press. Speaking outside the Presidential Office, Mr Li has confirmed that the landmark piece of legislation has been scuppered by a significant margin and blames members of his own party for the defeat, in particular the "Progressive Faction".
Prime Minister Li claimed that the bill would have created 250,000 jobs and reduce the public debt reduced by BL$780 billion over 10 years. Although the debt currently stands at BL$11 trillion, the government's budget is currently a surplus of $150 billion. Critics of the bill claim that it will exacerbate the outsourcing of jobs in Bai Lung to neighbouring Allegheny. The bill was made by a near party-line vote, with the Conservatives voting in favour of the bill and the Democratic Party, the Marxist Party, the Green Party and various minority parties voting against the bill. The ruling Labour Party were sharply divided in their votes. 1/3 voted in favour for the bill while 2/3 went against party line and voted against the bill, resulting in it's defeat by 7 votes. The votes (total): YAY - 246 NAY - 253 The votes by party (Favour/Against): Conservative Party - 174/0 Labour Party - 72/191 Bai Lung Democratic Party - 0/21 Green - 0/2 Marxist Party - 0/32 Others - 0/7 When asked for President Im's comment on the defeat, Prime Minister Li declined to answer. |
