The most vocal criticisms came from the True Conservative Movement who felt her speech is not in line with the harsher rhetoric she gave during her presidential campaign. Todays Headline from New BLCTV News. Full stories available on www.newblctvnews.bl (Articles also available in Traditional Chinese, Dannistrian, Dovakhanese and Korean)![]() Richard Im trial: CHIEF JUSTICE RAYMOND HONG DECLARES 50 CHARGES AGAINST FORMER LEADER INVALID. GARLAND GAO SUGGESTS TO MEDIA THAT IM COULD BE FOUND NOT GUILTY. Chief Justice Raymond Hong has declared 50 charges levelled against former President of Bai Lung Richard Im over his business dealings with longtime partner Wang Yuan-Biao to be invalid. In the 126th day of the hearings, former Treasury of the Secretary Li Xing-chung presented full report of every budget in Bai Lung 2008-2012 when Im was leader. One charge brought against the former is that he used some of the BL$25 million to fund his lavish trip to Kelssek in 2009. The expense actually was lower compared to 2008 when the amount alloted to the President was BL$30 million. Brooklyn Bing further supported this claim by showing a bank statement dating from July 2009 that shows a decrease of BL$250,000. Mr Bing re-iterated that Mr Im made millions of dollars before he became leader. Other charges brought against the former leader that were rejected include Mr Im selling the Presidential limosine to Wang Yuan-Biao when in fact the 2009 Dailiang Cruiser was compounded in 2011 because it failed its MOT and replacing it was seen as the cheaper option. The replacement Cruiser was purchased in 2011 as confirmed by Mr Li. Mr Bing then labelled prosecutor Garland Gao as a 'fake lawyer' who is only interested in fame. Unable to counteract the defence, Mr Gao displayed long periods of silence reminiscent to the former leader. Later on, Mr Gao spoke to BLCTV News, suggested that the trial could lead to a not guilty verdict for the former leader.
Day 127 of the trial coninues. Edited by Bai Lung, Jul 4 2017, 08:24:34 PM.
