The East Pacific is looking for barristers interested in joining the East Pacific Bar Association (EPBA). In the event that you have an interest, please reply in this thread, and indicate whether you would prefer to act for the defence or the prosecution. Each month, I will ask that all barristers reaffirm their intent to continue to remain members of the EPBA.

Kangarawa
Chief Barrister

Edit:

Members of the EP Bar Association

Kangarawa: Defence Counsel
Black Panther Cats: Prosecution
Dezzland: either Prosecution or Defence Counsel
Charles Deitus: either Prosecution or Defence Counsel
ratcut: either Prosecution or Defence Counsel

Well, though I don't have much court experience, I think I'd like to become a barrister, if that's possible, Kangawara. Truly, I think I can sway the EP Viceroy's opinion with my arguments.

Judges serve as lawyers all the time, whether as a hobby or under special circumstances. But I'm fairly certain you cannot present the case to yourself, FPS, and not yield a biased verdict. :P Although, we all know of your split personalities...*recalls the time FPS sued himself.*

... Kangawara ...

Seeing as we currently do not have any law on the books against shooting the Viceroy ... (*takes careful aim*) :P

Thank you, BPC. I have you registered as a member of the EP Bar Association willing to prosecute.

My thanks, Dezzland.

I've added you to the list of members of the EP Bar Association, and at present, will indicate that you are willing to act as both Counsel for the Defence or Prosecutor.

Have all positions been filled? I am new but need to start somewhere. I am willing to assist the East Pacific as a prosecutor.

My thanks, Charles Deitus!

I will add your name to the roster of the members of the EP Bar Association as being willing to serve as Counsel for the Prosecution. Having said that, we now have a Solicitor General, Reziel, who is handling a current case. Would you also consider acting as Counsel for the Defence?

My thanks!

Certainly, I would be willing to serve as defense (if it is felt that the accused should have a defense.) Anyone accused is guilty and deserves to be punished. But I am not biased at all and would happily sit in the chair for the defense if needed.

Actually, those accused are presumed innocent until it is proved that they are guilty, and anyone charged with an offence is entitled to a trial under the Charter of the East Pacific.

Having said that, I will be happy to add you to the list of Barristers willing to act as Counsel for the Defence if you are certain that you will be able to keep those two statements in mind, lol.

Sincere apologies for the double post, but I've been derelict in my duties. (Again, I know, Gnid! :P) I should have been doing this on a monthly basis, and completely forgot about it!

Would all those who are currently members of the EP Bar Association please reaffirm their intention to remain members for the next month (June) by simply posting their intent to do so in this thread?

Thanks!

ROFL...

You've been here for two days, and you've already applied to be an Ambassador, a Magister, a Lawyer.... weeeeee... take care not to go on like this: applying to be the next Delegate is a crime, in TEP! ;)

Yes - I have... Thats kind of because here, to be able to do those things, you seem to have to apply. In my old region, all citizens pretty much automatically had access to those things, and everyone who wanted to get on took an active part in them. Here is easier because there is no need to apply to be a recruiter at least...

I will list you as both Counsel for the Defence and the Prosecution, ratcut. You'll need to familiarise yourself with the both the Charter of the East Pacific, and all of the laws contained in the Statute Books.

Thanks,
Kang

I think I'd very easily be up for this.

Warre offers both lawyers for the Defensive and Prosecution sectors.

I would love to be considered for an East Pacific Barrister. Although I don't practice law, I have a lot of interest in that field. I would be happy with either prosecution or defense, so I can be applied wherever needed. I promise to keep an open mind and remain true to duty.

Thank you for your forum space and time. :-P

I call for the indefinite removal of St Jimmy from the East Pacific Bar Association, until such time as he can better learn the Charter and laws of the East Pacific government.

I think he is a supporter of "The Empire," anyways.
