At approximatively 19:12 GMT of December 9th 2007, I've received the following in-game TG from the nation called Voxsapientia:
- Voxsapientia
-
Greetings my fellow East Pacific nation. I come to you to announce my endorsement of your nation. I would much appreciate any endorsement you deliver to my nation. I hope to communicate with you in the future.
Yours.
Sultan of Voxsapientia
Considering such a TG relevant under our laws about endo-swapping, at approximatively 16:13 GMT of the following day (today) I've sent the following in-fgame TG to Voxsapientia:
- Reziel
-
Voxsapientia, I’ve just received your in-game TG referring to the endorsement you’ve given me. I regret to inform you that what you’re doing is called “endo-swapping” and it’s illegal under the laws of the region about endorsements (which you can find at http://z1.invisionfree.com/forums/The_East...post&p=5097253)Consequently, acting as Attorney general of the region, I officially request you to immediately cease and desist the endo-swapping and to immediately resign from UN, thus proving your good faith in the present matter. Otherwise, you’ll be passable of being banned from the region for having broken its law. Do not hesitate to come to me, should you need further clarifications. Best regards Reziel Attorney General of The East Pacific
I'll keep the region informed of developments.

At approximatively 19:40 GMT of December 10th I've received the following reply from Voxsapientia
- Voxsapientia
-
I am not asking you for an endorsement. I merely said if you gave me one I would revceieve it well. I am sorry for this inconvenience or problem, but having read the rules previously, I don't think I am breaking the rules, plus many people do blatant endo swapping, not what I am doing. Why resign from UN?
To which I've just answered:
- Reziel
-
Voxsapientia, you've endorsed me. And immediately after you've TGed me saying "hello, I've endorsed you. It would be great if you'll endorse me back".
You give and solicit to receive back. That's how endoswapping works.
Consequently, allow me to slightly reformulate my former TG. I REQUEST you to immediatly cease the endo-swapping, while I COUNSEL you to resign from the UN: this way, you'll prove your good faith and you'll avoid the risk to be banned.
Reziel Attorney General of The East Pacific
PS you're now at 31 endorsements, which is 62% of the endocap. Be extremely careful not to break the treshold.
PS2 if you had already read, it means you've already been on the forum. Come on... stop this endo-gathering thing and come to have fun with us all: THAT is the real fun in TEP!

At approximately 1940 GMT, December 10, I too received a telegram from Voxsapientia:
- Voxsapientia
-
Greetings Gnidrah. I write to you to ask for your intervention in a matter. Reziel has written to me accusing me of endo swapping, which I was not doing. I endorsed some nations, and stated that I would receive their endorsement of me appreciatively. I feel that I have not broken any rules, having read them, and Reziel is calling for my resignation from the UN. I apologise for any misunderstanding, but I endorse you, and want not to propose any challenge to your delegacy.
I hope you can write me in return, to clarify the situation. I am sure I have not acted wrongly, and I had no sort of bad intentions in any actions.
Yours,
Sultan of Voxsapientia.
...to which I've just responded:

Voxsapientia, I am aware of the situation, and am glad you have contacted me, and am furthermore delighted at your willingness to understand. First, let me say, I know not your intentions. But I do know that Reziel is right. The evidence against you does prove endorsement-swapping has taken place. At this time, it's important for me to note and for you to realize that, what Reziel is recommending you do will simply remedy the problem, and resolve the issue at hand. He's not advising you to resign from the United Nations for good. He is simply suggesting you do so for a period no less than 48 hours, after which time you are more than welcome and encouraged to rejoin the UN. Either way, you are being asked to cease and desist any and all forms of endorsement-swapping, per East Pacific law (which can be found on our forum, at http://theeastpacific.com). If you will comply, soon things will be back to normal, and this will be put behind us. Until then, I appreciate that you're not challenging my Delegacy; however, you are still in violation of our laws. If you have any further questions or comments on this matter, please do not hesitate to telegram me, again; or simply do so via our forum. Thank you for your time and understanding, in this matter. Gnidrah
It is important to note that Voxsapientia does have an account on this forum, as of early September, but that does not necessarily mean he or she has read our laws. However, the individual may be referring to a telegram I sent, which does not spell out our laws at length, but does summarize those pertaining to UN Member nations. It is likely Voxsapientia read that information.

I beg the region's pardon for being so late in this (final) update.
Voxsapientia has complied with our request and s/he has resigned from the UN, thus losing the endorsements s/he had already gathered. IMHO, acting this way s/he has definitely proved his/her goodwill.
Consequantly, as long as the Delegate won't object, I consider this "warning thread" as closed.
