As I had made a couple of allusions to elsewhere, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a few other sports RPs. I was thinking that instead of a scorinator system, I could perhaps import a system I've used in other regions. Basically, people name their team, yaddyadda, and then pick a real life counterpart that is simulated by the simulated game function in a real video game. I feel this is a more fair way of doing things, and you do not even necessarily need to use a game that matches the sport directly, as long as its a similar sport. I was also thinking maybe, since this is the East Pacific, we could use some traditional sports from that part of the world - anyone familar with Cuju for example? Australian Rules Football maybe? How about the somewhat dead game Austus? I could also simulate several forms of racing I suppose, and am not trying to monopolize the idea at all! By the way, there is always the goodhockey.com method which uses a more formal simulator, but also takes a greater deal of work. Well, I certainly hope I haven't been arrogant or stepped on anyone's toes. |
