![]() Legend Orange Islands The Five unofficial Warreic Colonies, or break-off states, depending on who speaks of them. Colloquially, 'A Cúig Rí'; the Five Kings, or 'A Cúig Ríocht' the Five Kingdoms. While the Warreic people might refer to them as such, and any A Cúig Rí Warreic might refer to them as above, some Warreic Citizens, and in particular the Clanntaich, the Military, and various nobles, refer to them as 'A Cúig íseal Ríocht', the Five Low Kingdoms; or 'A Cúig Fo-Ríocht', the Five Minor Kingdoms . In the following post detailing the Five Kingdoms, the numbers written upon the plots will explain exactly which plot is which of the Low Kingdoms described. Red Island(s) The territory claimed by the minor Kandarinese house, Shaahale. Information (likely) to be provided by Kandarin in a post following this one. Purple Island Here thar be dragons. Big, old, mean, dragons. Grey Island(s) Islands claimed by Vekaiyu for various purposes, chemical testing, and starve-to-death prisons. Teal Island(s) States which are connected culturally and genetically to the people's of Anglic Jutland. Numbered/detailed in a following post by Anglic Jutland. Forest Green Island(s) States which are connected culturally and genetically to the people's of Elafos, and psuedo-politically connected to Elafos. Numbered/deailed in a following post by Terasu. [OOC; Let it be known that anyone who wants to play a minor nation within the 53 Islands may do so, either culturally tied to their nation or otherwise, and that expanding into them is very possible, as they're weak states/minor states, but it might get Warre in confrontation with whichever nation is there, and this area is an area with rampant 'pirate raids', and is generally much akin to the East Pacific's wild west. It's so out of the way that most nations don't bother to deal with it, as it's slightly isolated and in some of it's islands, -very weird- things happen. ] |

A Cúig Fo-Ríocht The Five Minor Kingdoms 1)Ulaire (Pronounced Uh-lu-are)- Perhaps the most stable of and powerful of the Five Minor Kingdoms, Ulaire was established second of the island kingdoms, and established because it was welcoming, and the Warreic who landed there were urged to by their cousins from Ulster, who had originally come to settle in Warre, with them. Ulaire, sometimes jokingly referred to as 'Nua Ulaid', is the Kingdom of the Five Kingdoms which has been most active in attempt to unify them under itself in a style similar to the medieval Rí of Ireland, and their connections with the High King. Like Warre to the South, Ulaire has extremely fertile soil, and there is a very profitable agriculture industry within the island, wheat, oat, potatoes, and beef and sheep often harvested in surplus of nearly six times the Kingdom's actual need. Ulaire in turn relies on Warreic transport freighters to transport these foodstuffs. Though it is primarily focused in agriculture, a -very small- industry around ship building and seaplane manufacture exists within Bellfaire, the only 'true' city within Ulaire. Despite this, most Ularic Warreic can keep clothes and the like in good supply, as repairing things is a necessary skill in the frontier. 2)Fíonchaora (Grapes)- As it's name implies, Fionchaora's primary crop and industry are grape and grape manufacture, and in many cases distilling wine. Like Ulaire, and Warre, Fionchaora is blessed with extremely fertile land, and like Ulaire, it produces several times above it's needs in it's too primary food crops gatherings, fish, grapes, and oranges. The majority of these crops are traded with Ulaire in exchange for food from Ulaire, but some of it, particularly the wine, is exported to other nations, Warre in particular. Like Ulaire, Fionchaora relies on Warreic transport freighters to transport these foodstuffs and import them. Though it is purposefully kept secret from Ulaire and the other Ri, Gold, Silver, and several mysterious metals, are mined from a point within the northeast side's steep cliff-faces. There is debate on if Fionchaora was the third, or fifth settled Riocht. 3)Stoirmmaigh (Stormhold)- The first settled of the Five minor Kingdoms, Stoirmmaigh was settled by a Warreic Duke and transport baron, upon accident. Two of his ships were caught in a fierce storm, and the captain and crew knew well of the likelihood to be crashed against the stones of one of these islands, which even if one survived likely would have savages or monsters upon them. The ships rode into the middle of the islands deep natural harbor, Stormbay, and at noticing the abundant resources and food on the island, the crew landed. Now, Stoirmmaigh is a fairly modern if slightly rural nation, which's foodstuffs come from fishing, gathering & hunting from the rich forests within the region, and small farms. The only sizable settlement within the Riocht of Stoirmmaigh, Stormmaigh, is a heavily fortified city, because the many raids which have hit it since it's founding, from pirates, natives of other islands, or from Elafos. Industrially, those of Stoirmmaigh who are not participants in the agricultural sector of the region often work in mining the abundant metals of various sorts within the mountains, or in manufacturing advanced technology presumably invented by those within Stoirmmaigh. Warreic transport freighters and mercenaries often find employ within Stoirmmaigh, and Stoirmmaigh also happens to produce moderate amounts of Crude Oil and Petroleum, from Oil Fields either upon the island or nearby it. 4)Mac Lir- The smallest of the five Ri, and perhaps most mysterious. Despite having a very small population, and being the fourth of the five Kingdoms to be settled, Mac Lir has never been successfully invaded by another nation, be it one inside or outside of the 53 islands. It's economy's agricultural aspects focus primarily on fishing, but most of it's food is gained through trade with the other Ri. It's industry focuses primarily on production of advanced technology, and of mercenary activity. While people have visited Mac Lir, no exact maps of it exist, and no one can explain how the advanced technology came to Mac Lir originally, or how they learned to use it. 5)Abalon (Something someone might notice as an alusion to 'Avalon' and it's likely origin, the Celtic word 'Abal')- The Island of Abalon has perhaps the smallest population of the five ri, despite being not much smaller than the other ri in landmass, and larger than one of the ri. The exact reason for this is not well known. What is know, however, is that Abalon despite it's small population, produces nearly 4,000 tons of Apples a year, in addition to 3,000 tons of Potatoes, 5,000 tons of Wheat, and several dozen pounds of other foods. More over, how this is done is put into question from the fact that the Abalon Warreic also make a good deal of money from breeding exotic animals, the Pegaline, or Winged Cat as some call it, is bred in sizable amounts here, and likewise some of the finest Warreic Canines in the world are bred upon Abalon. |

All but Asphykos are at current totally independant of the Elafos coalition although they do recognise cultural and historical ties. These four islands were founded by states of the same origin as Elafos proper (Although Aontas is... special in that regards). 1.Ains; The first of the Elafosian descended islands to be founded. Was known for it's aggressive and brutal raids upon both Elisa and Aontas until it was completely defeated and disarmed in 1576 following a short war involving a joint Elisan (funded heavily by the Aetrians) and Aontan army. Often regards the other island states and Elafos with disdain but maintains links with the Iskios Federation who helped Ains' recovery after the 1576 war. 2.Elisa; Maintains a close relationship with Aetria. Suffered badly from early raids from predominantly Elafosian pirates. Around the 14th century Elisa made an alliance with Aetria. Elisa is famed for it's artisans and poets and has a thriving tourism industry, perhaps solely due to rich Elafosians. 3. Aontas; The inhiabitants of this island are of both Warreic and Elafosian descent. The island was settled original by Elafosian refugees (from their original homeland) in 1089 and suffered greatly against the Ains raiders who essentially farmed the island during it's early history. With the help of Aetrian aid in the mid 1500s, Aontas was able to fight back against and became heavily fortified. In 1752 a large number of Warreic settlers arrived on the island and after two year conflict which saw the Warreic clinging onto the southern half of the island while being unable to expel the heavily defence orientated Aontans, a peace was called. The two sides quickly settled their differences and within a number of years Aontas' population and economy had grown exponentially. 4.Asphykos; While in terms of area the second largest, Asphykos has the smallest population of the islands founded by ex-Elafos states. Little is publically known about this island although it's known to have close -if seemingly unexplicable- ties with Vylade and is considered in many cases as part of the state. It's inhabitants are known to be solemn and withdrawn. Work in Progress. ¬_¬ |
