First, this will be the second delegate elections / campaigning period The East Pacific will undergo under the new Concordat, so hopefully things will move along well. Here's the breakdown: Nomination Period (link) This period will last seventy-two hours, starting on July 11th, 2008 at 12:00 am (5:00 am UTC) and ending on July 14th, 2008 at 12:00 am (5:00 am UTC). During this period, candidates will write in their intent to vote. A citizen (one who has ratified the Concordat, you can do that here and by following the guidelines outlined in that thread) must back the candidate's intent to run by posting their support of said candidate. A couple of extra things about the nomination period:

During this period, candidates will be given their own campaign thread in which they may describe their platform, answer questions proposed by citizens, and overall work out any loose ends. A couple of extra things about the campaign period:
This period will last seventy-two hours, starting on July 17th, 2008 at 12:00 am (5:00 am UTC) and ending on July 20th, 2008 at 12:00 am (5:00 am UTC). Only citizens (which include candidates) may vote. To vote, citizens must write who they are voting for, choosing one candidate only. Multiple votes will result in the citizen's votes being not counted. |
