Alright. I've decided that it is definitely one of the delegate's jobs to "delegate" responsibilities out to people. So now we're going to do this by me delegating and not smothering the word in TEP, lol. I've pushed back the newspaper deadline to Saturday, February 6th, at 7 PM EST (Feb 7th, at 12 am UTC). That's when Dyr and I will get it out, probably a day or so after the deadline. Here's a suggestion as to what the sections will be:

Roleplay Section

Conclave Section

Magisterium Section

World Assembly Section

State of the Region

Humor

Extra Sections?????

Also,
I'm taking requests for volunteers!!

And I'll write the customary delegate section, lol. But that's it. I am slowly beginning to realize that I have been taking a lot of responsibilities on in the region, which can be a bad thing. I apologize for that, and I realize I am not to be the "voice" of TEP, but the "servant" of TEP. You all are the voices of TEP - collectively, we make up the voice. If I'm all by myself, I'm a faint whisper, a whisper in vain. And for someone who toots his horn about democracy, that's borderline hypocritical of me. So, I do apologize for the last two issues, as they were written solely by me. I should've done more delegating, and less writing! Buuuut, I do believe this has the making of our best issue yet! I can't wait to see a REAL TEP newspaper again!!

Should there be input from the various heads of the Magisterium and Conclave when this stuff comes out, then?

Draft for the WA section:

Voting system changes on the talks

Following the Liberate Free Thought incident, where TEP was swarmed by "citizens" who appeared out of nowhere only to further their own agenda, as our regional vote was going to be decisive, we started a debate (currently on hold due to magisterium elections) regarding how will we prevent this from happening against in the future.
Thus far, on top of spawning a separate discussion about increasing the requirements for citizenship, the discusion is leaning toward masking the voting forum for non-citizens and returning from polls to threads. More details in http://z1.invisionfree.com/forums/The_East...opic=7496&st=30 . Have an opinion? Let us know!

On a lighter note, WA sanctioned passaports shall be regulated by zombie-gnomes from G.E.S.T.A.P.O. in the near future... smile.gif

I want to toss out the idea of making a TGed newspaper subscription a part of Citizenship (with an opt-out), so anyone who registered as a Citizen would get bulletins about what's going on in the region. Would this be a good idea?

(I've started a seperate thread in the Conclave to discuss whether it's legal, but I'd like to keep that discussion mostly to Arbiters)

Yes a great idea and as Allegheny stated here just add a simple opt in/out clause, how difficult can that be...

I believe it would. Trouble is, in order to circulate such a paper, two things have to happen, I believe:

1) We actually need to get a paper out, lol. Maybe we need a chief editor too, I don't know, lol.
2) We should create two versions: a forum-friendly one, and a telegram-friendly version. This'll prevent coding confusion.

What exactly are you referring to when you say you want a section regarding the World Assembly?

Simply talking about World Assembly proposals seems rather droll. That is the only section I could see myself taking charge of.

Yeah, it's only a suggestion, lol. At this point, anything would be pretty good.

We could use more articles, folks! I could make a few more suggestions, if people like. But I hope this could be more of a region-thing, so that would be something to think about.

I'd like to volunteer for an extra section... called Things of Unprecedented Insignificance.

Basically, this is humour multiplied by pi multiplied again by at least 200 googl; political incorrectness at it's finest. All my materials that I will need are some news feeds on NS politics.
