A generic apology to the forum does not constitute as a sincere apology to the person that you harmed. If you were sincere, I would have probably seen a telegram or PM explaining yourself.
Reason one why I am not buying your response....you have told me all the actions you have taken as an admin yet mentioned nothing about this to me.
Reason two. You failed to mention why you acted WITHOUT the Magisterium's consent, which was again part of my plan that you ever so gracefully enacted.
Reason three. You failed to explain why you have taken similiar actions against Todd.
I haven't told you about everything I did as an admin. Nobody who's been an admin here has told anyone about everything they did as an admin, which is why we should have some actual rules for logging this stuff. I can see how it would look that way, since you've heard about a lot - and since so much of what I've done as an admin has been as a result of your requests and observations about what changes have been needed.
I proposed the change to the admin group instead of the Magisterium because quite frankly I didn't remember that part of your post on the subject when I wrote up my proposal, and because your post was more of a set of observations on a need than a complete proposal.
Todd lost Admin powers when he did because Admin powers were tied to the Delegate usergroup; when he was no longer Delegate, he was switched from the Delegate usergroup to the Citizen usergroup, as he was a Citizen and held no other offices. Todd did briefly have Global Mod access which was removed, due to the fact that it was added unilaterally and needed discussion among the admins to proceed...though again, that was done at your request.

Again, I understand you need to tell yourself you are right to help yourself sleep at night. It is human nature. But again, from someone who has been calculating, thoughtful, and often taking a great period of time to respond so that his responses come off correctly, I find it incredibly odd the sudden enactment of this, the lack of communication, and again the timing. I am having a difficult time believing that all those failed calculations slipped your mind, when in the past, you have been an incredibly detailed person.
It also does not explain how you did not consult me prior to this if I was an admin at the time.
I also realize that you are trying to "save face" in this whole ordeal, which is preventing you from speaking openly, but now is not the time to worry about reputations. They have been trashed. What is more important to you? A friendship or your online identity?
I did not PM you to draw your attention to the thread in the Admin forum (as I did the rest of the admin group) for two reasons. First, I knew you had seen the thread, and so didn't feel the need to draw your attention to it further. I should not have presumed that you had examined it in depth and made a decision merely from seeing that you had looked at it once, but I did not think that through at the time. Second, you had made your views on being asked to make admin decisions very clear in private. On admin policy, as with the WA, the Magisterium, etc. you were very clear on the fact that you did not want to be asked to lead or to be sought for every decision, but wanted the existing body to learn to make decisions for itself. Knowing this, and seeing you look and not comment, I had concluded that you wanted the existing body of admins to make the decision for itself.
As for online identities...you know that who I am online is who I am offline. You know me well enough to know that if I had a disagreement with a friend I would try to either resolve it or shrug it off and let it pass - I would not snipe at them with some petty sabotage. I am not lying to you, and I will not lie to a friend.
