![]() My face when all dat TEP drama. Hey guy's you all know who I am, for those of you that don't, I am Allegheny, I have been here for almost a year now and I have immersed myself in the TEP community since day one, getting to know everyone as best I can. I am a simple dude, I currently study Air Traffic Control here in the great state of Pennsylvania and I am also training for a Private Pilot's license, thats just a little about who I am it's not that important. As I said, I am a simple guy I do not speak eloquently and you won't find me making any grand elaborate speeches, but make no mistake, I will speak my mind quite openly. If I think lowly of you, you will know it and if I like you then you will know that too. Generally I try to be friends with everybody and I think that for the most part I get along with most of you. Why should I be Delegate, I don't know, but I do know what I would do as Delegate. But first let's talk about what I think of the Delegate position. To me it's nothing more than a means to an end, a representative role, and that's what I promise to give TEP, representation, in the WA, on the RMB and on the forums. How will I do that? Well simple really, I will vote the way TEP wants me to, I am just a representative after all. I promise to keep the Magisterium and the Conclave on task by reminding them of their duties to the region. I will not hesitate to combat inactive members who don't do their jobs. Now lately there has been alot of passive aggressive arguments flying around, people being mentioned in conversations they don't take part in, accusations of god modding without even resolving it between them before going to the RP admin and admins who aren't even communicating with their own administrative peers. We need to stop this, otherwise we will just fall apart. Instead of yelling and screaming god modding right to the RP admin, why not work it out over MSN first. Everyone here has MSN for the most part. Don't be lazy! If you have a problem with someone, talk about it privately, no need to go mentioning it embarrassing everyone including yourself in public. All in all, we all need to start listening to each other, I myself have been a part of this perpetuation of regional Drama, but I think that if we work together and start thinking more about other's feelings rather than our own, than this would be a even better region. Please feel free to ask me questions you feel are relevant to the Delegate, this thread is not for flaming and I will ask the election moderator to remove anything they feel is flaming. Remember when you go to vote, I am here everyday almost, I care about this region deeply and I want it to succeed, so vote for who you think is right for this region. |

Hello Allegheny, Just to kick things off, I'll start with a popular standard question... "What major change would you like to make or see happening during your term and what benefit would it bring to the region if it were implemented!" Morhams |

How long have you been in NationStates? What government experience do you have? Is it true what they say about you and Jeremy Hillary Boob PhD?

"What major change would you like to make or see happening during your term and what benefit would it bring to the region if it were implemented!" -Morhams Thanks for the question Morhams. First off let me just say, COMMUNICATION IS KEY! It really is, communication is what makes a good online community, especially one such as this were we have all the different types of NS'ers here. What I would like to see is people talking to each other before going straight to the relevant authority figure, how many times has some sort of drama been started because someone didn't bother to talk it out first? The answer to that is too many. I am an RP'er myself and I know first hand how important MSN messenger is for communicating with other fellow RP'ers, but MSN isn't just limited to that function. I would like to see everyone on TEP have an MSN, it doesn't matter if you are on all the time even if you are on part time it helps, live discussion is much better for matters that require speed. It's the 21st century and even tho this may seem rude, there is absolutely no reason for someone to not have this tool, and laziness is not an excuse. Another thing I'd like to see is openness to each other and more thoughtfulness about other's feelings. Countless times have I seen that someone said something otherwise on purpose or absentmindedly only to have someone come to me and express how angry or hurt they were about that person's comment. My suggestion to those thoughts have always been to confront that person privately and work out the problem through PM and/or MSN messenger. Overall I just want more people communicating with each other and talking. If big decisions are being made, than the pertinent people it affects should be made to know what it is and alot of the time, that doesn't happen here. "How long have you been in NationStates?" -Barb First off, thanks for the questions Barb. I have been in NS for a total of about three years now. I started out in a now mostly defunct region called Mars Hill. My TEP residency has been almost a year now. "What government experience do you have?" - Barb My first government experience was Governor of Mars Hill near the time it fell apart, I did everything I could to keep it together and I am not afraid to say that I was part of the life support team that kept it together until I stepped down at the end of my term. (nobody would run against me for another term and I was tired of doing CPR on a region no one cared about). As for TEP government experience well my record as Arbiter is on this forum in plain sight to see. For those who don't feel like going to look, I was the first to bring up rules for trials, of which Barb and Todd took my crappily written prop and made it much, much better and wrote in alot of their own ideas along with the ideas of the rest of the conclave. From then on I have simply given my opinion and have tried to facilitate the well oiled machine that is the conclave. "Is it true what they say about you and Jeremy Hillary Boob PhD?" - Barb No comment. ![]() ----------------------------------- If you wish to come and talk to me on MSN please add me at zreid2@comcast.net. But please keep pertinent campaign questions here in this thread. |

Being a leader in feeder region is one of the most difficult jobs you can do in this game next to being a game mod. When the going gets tough, what plans do you have to keep yourself from breaking down? How do you plan to pull yourself through the inevitable times when you want to whip this region the finger and tell it to suck your balls? |

I don't have a plan.. but i do know this, something such as NS isn't going to cause me to break down. I have dealt with lots of crap in my life and I am sure whatever the mean people of NS have to throw it me will just slide off. I ain't got time to break. as for balls and sucking, my personality has always been in the 'suck my balls' configuration, pretty much since i have been born. Believe me when i say that people who try to bully me into doing things always fail. |
