IMPORTANT! Before reading this thread read OOC here ![]() Thomas Vogel was walking down the corridor of soothing yellow walls with occasional painting on them and cube-like white lights hanging from the celling. On both Walls were brown expensive-looking doors, with golden numbers on them. A polished wooden floor with an interesting mosaic also added to the aura of luxury. Suddenly he turned to one of the doors and knocked. A chubby, dark-haired, tall man whose head showed up in the gap in the opened doors was Eric Marston, a businessman from Allegheny. Even though the gap wasn't big Vogel realized that the person on the other side of the doors wasn't exactly clothed. In the background there was also a half naked woman. Even though his glance was very quick, he knew it wasn't a wife of Mr. Marston. Probably a hooker thought to himself Thomas trying to ignore that and focus on the conversation with the hotel guest. "Mr. Marston, I'm terribly sorry to disturb you, just wanted to check up on our guests if they need anything" "I do not need anything right know, however I would like to ask for a change of sheets in a half an hour, or so." Came a response with a thick Pittsburghian Accent. "Of course, anything else?" "Nothing else, Mister Vogel, just some privacy." "I will inform staff not to disturb you. Have a good day, sir." Said Vogel, as the doors closed. He adjusted his tie, and went the opposite direction then before. Running down the stairs he thought how lucky he was that he got this job. A manager of a newly built luxurious hotel was a well-paid job. Even though it was built not a long time ago, already a wide bunch of businessmen, politicians, diplomats and other rich and influential people came here. Sure, New Nabbers was a pretty poor country currently, but the hotel was far away from the city, so no poverty was seen nearby. Serenitech though about everything, and even surrounded the compound with a high wall, not to allow trespassing from the locals. Nothing, but the beautiful landscapes, and warm weather was Nabberian, everything else was brought by Serenitech. Even the staff was from various other countries, not necessarily Serenitech though. Maybe it was for the best, Nabberians and Stromburgians aren't on the best terms lately. There were those incidents... Anyway, back to work! Staff doors to the left. Vogel knocked. A bright-haired boy with freckles, probably 20 years old or so, opened the doors. "Ah, Mr.Vogel, I..." "Don't have time. Paul I just talked with the Alleghenian from the room D03. When he leaves the room, go change the sheets, until then he is not to be disturbed. Now you can take that new Vulpine boy, what was his name, Irlu? You two clean up the room A03, the Smigsachwian diplomat, Mr. Van Rotschein asked for a change to a room with a better view. I gotta go to the chef right now, you two do your job, pronto!" "Yes, sir!" came quietly from behind him, as he walked away in the direction of the stairs. New guests are coming, and he has to make sure, everything works perfectly. |

Sayli Iyolessi was no ordinary 26 year-old vulpine female from Vekaiyu. While most women her age were thinking about marriage or starting a family, she was looking at adopting Listonian children. Instead of wanting to stick to old customs or blend some old and new customs, Sayli embraced cultures around the realm. Rather than focus on what Vekaiyu had to offer with regards to travel and vacations, she always looked outward to visit different and unique places. She was a businesswoman, definitely aware of the cultural faux pas and able to coax even the toughest customer to trade with her. Her wares? Candles. One wouldn't think candles would be such a hot commodity, and they would be right. But with Vekaiyu slowly adopting free enterprise, some Vekaiyuns took advantage of the new system and made quite a bit of money for themselves by purchasing now-plentiful industrial or commercial licenses and creating their own companies. Sayli knew her candles, and candles were always interesting to her. After all, her blend of paraffin wax was tested numerous times to burn the slowest among competitors. But that didn't really mean anything now. Now she was looking forward to spending some of her money outside of Vekaiyu and enjoy herself. Vekaiyuns were encouraged to put money back into the economy to help keep things on the rise, but she felt the taxes she paid did enough for their cause. She worked hard to earn her money, now she was going to work hard to spend. A Vekaiyun splurging? Was that an oxymoron? She hoped not. Maybe she'd be called a visionary later, but none of that really mattered. She was here to have fun. Upon walking inside she spotted who appeared to be the manager of the hotel she was staying at. At least he sure looked like the manager judging by the pamphlets she read during the limo ride to the compound. Again with the expensive stuff, so uncharacteristic for a Vekaiyun. It didn't matter. She smiled and entered the building empty-handed save for a beige purse which matched her skirt and blazer. Her thick-rimmed glasses framed her face, and her fairly short straight black hair was kept above the shoulders to complete a clean look. It was parted down the middle and longer in the bangs - it was a style she saw in a stylist magazine from Free Pacific States and, naturally, she had to have it. "Hello," she said in clear English. "The grounds look lovely. I take it there is much to do at this resort?" |

Viscount Innokenti Varlaam, was one of the few remaining nobles left in Vulshain. His family had survived the the purge of nobility conducted by Merrill Rivers. He was also one of the candidates to be crowned Monarch of Vulshain, but he lost out to his distinct cousin, Samuil Rainard. He was a little jealous, but Innokenti also ran a business that dealt with aerospace technology. He was very successful. However, he decided to take a vacation. "I hope this Le Gout De Lux is what I'm looking for," he thought. He wore a business suit and a tie. He was a handsome lobo. Although, he looked like a coyote than a wolf. He carried a suitcase. He spotted a lovely and beautiful looking vulpine vixen. Her hair was very stylish. Innokenti wagged his tail as he approached her. |

Vogel's day was very busy. He has spent his whole morning running up and down the hotel, trying to appease the guests, and organize this hell, his superiors called a modern, luxurious paradise for the best from the best. A few last steps, to the right, through the doors, and Vogel found himself in the lobby. He quickly strolled over to the desk, where Daniel was writing something down. "Daniel, any new reservations?" "Uh, Mister Vogel, sir! There was a call from, uh, let me check that..." said the receptionist, while trying to read his indecipherable scribbles next to the doodle of a stickman with a tie and curly hair, that was, without any doubts, depicting Thomas Vogel. His accent suggested that this was in fact a person from a British Grand Pacific. Lately ties between BGP and Serenitech had improved. There were even talks about buying up an island from them. "Daniel! Agh, do you at least know if there were any new arriving guests?" "There is one behind you, sir!" "Wha-" "Hello," a female voice from behind his back said. "The grounds look lovely. I take it there is much to do at this resort?" "Uh, yes, hello! My name is Thomas Vogel, and I'm the manager of this resort." Said the manager himself. Well, he certainly looked like a manager. He wore an expensive, dark blue suit, with a little blue "S"-looking Serenitech Logo on his righ lapel. Add to that a light blue shirt with shoes and a tie matching in colorization whole set. He also had a curly brown hair. His shaved, yet wrinkled face made him look about 35 years old - and exactly that old he was. Looking at the Vulpine female, whose voice he has just heard he realized, she looked much younger then him. And yet, she was probably richer. But C'est la Vie, you do what you can to live. Of course he was happy to have this job. 149 thousand dollars after taxes every month was a large amount of money. But yeah, large amount of that he put right back into the hotel. Expensive wines, champagnes, caviar. Everything is expensive. And Le Gout De Lux especially. With the corner of his eye, Vogel spotted an approaching another guest. He also was a Canidsapien. True, he looked more like a coyote, then the vulpine girl he was just speaking too. A quick glance at his tail has shown that he was pretty happy to see that Vulpine. "Nice to meet you too, I'm Thomas Vogel manager of this hotel" he said to the approaching guest. "I take that you two are here together, as a couple? Do you remember the number of the room you reserved, possibly?" |

"Sayli Iyolessi," she replied cordially to Thomas Vogel, completely used to the greetings common outside of Vekaiyu. She had to admit she was impressed with his attire, he definitely had fashion sense about him. And the logo on his lapel piqued her curiosity, but also her eye for design. She liked the design, and the gear cog reminded her of of her home province of Sinliesa for some reason. "I must say I'm impressed with the grounds from what I've seen so far in pamphlets and on the drive here. I would love to see more." She turned to the lupine businessman, who broadcasted his ogling nature toward her. She held up a hand and then stepped back. Apparently her time away from Vekaiyu had increased her sense of personal space. "Sir, would you please control yourself. I'm not a baby factory." She paused. Maybe her tact wasn't perfect, but if there was one thing she learned outside of Vekaiyu it was that woman had to assert themselves. Vekaiyu had enjoyed relative gender equality due to having two female leaders in the past ten years, but still, to display immediate affection was fairly foreign to her. "I apologize for my rash comment," she finally replied. "But I don't know you. Perhaps you'd like to introduce yourself too?" |

Innokenti was surprised by two things: number one, he was mistaken as being the vulpine vixen's husband, and two, the comment made by the vixen who introduced herself as Sayli Iyolessi. He cleared his throat. "I'm Viscount Innokenti Varlaam of Vulshain and head of Varlaam Aerospace Technologies. I'm afraid that my approach sent the wrong message to you, but I was merely going to compliment you on your hairstyle. It suits you perfectly. Very stylish and elegant. I apologize again, but you do look lovely. Maybe as an act of apology, I could take you out to dinner. My treat." |

The doors to the lobby swung open. A rather tall man, clad in a black, long, leather coat and wearing a black hat with a large rim strode in, as if he owned the place. Behind him scurried a hotel employee with his luggage - two black suitcases and a guitar case. I wonder if that was a too fancy an entrance... the man thought. He also wondered if his hat managedto somehow shadow the wrinkels and nummerous scars on his face - the past 50 years of his life have not been merciful, and gravity began to grab hold of his face [hence the wrinkles]. What he saw dazzled and disgusted him in a mixed way - for starters the lobby was surprisingly posh, more posh than the brochours suggested, but to his utter disdain, he saw not one but two Canidsapiens standing and talking. Insitinctivly his hand fell to his gun - a mistake he later regretted. As if waiting for him to reveal his weapons, a security guard approached and said in a semi-british accent: "Good day sir! I am terribly sorry to inform you that the carring of any weapons on hotel ground is strictly prohibited - I take you are a guest here?" "The name's Vladimir" the man in the coat replied, doing his best to duisguise that hoarse voice of his - a sideeffect of drinking and somking for most of his life. "I assume that you can offer me some justification of this inane rule of no weapons?" "Hotel policy sir - take it up with the manager if you want, however I will still have to deposit your weapons for the time being." "Oh this little toy? Take, I don't like it anyway" Vladimir replied casually and handed over the gun he had revealed. In fact it was his treasured [and lovingly modified] MkV Justicator class pistol, and parting with it hurt him badly. HE gave a short and clearly forced simle to the guard and asked "Would that be all?" "Sir..." the guard said "I want ALL your weapons." Vladimir sighed and began removing his weapons. He really didn't have much on him -just standard diplomatic equipment, that is: three knives hidden in his shoes and hat, two hand cannons concealed within his coat, a MkIV Haven class folding sniper rifle, a utility belt with granades, throwing knives and explosives with the power to take out a small bunker, and, in his guitar case, his cherished new toy - a MkVII Tempest Class sniper rifel - with tri-light scope and improved accuracy. The horror in the guards eyes grew with every weapon he took out. "Is--- Is that it?" The guard said in a rather shaky voice, after calling a collegue to help him carry the weapons "Yes. Yes indeed" Vladimir said, and walked up to the guard and whispered "However if any of my weapons have so much as a scratch when they are returned to me, I WILL hunt you down, and kill you in the most horrid way I can imagine, and trust me, my imagination is very... very... imaginative" he said, and after a minute he added in the sweetest voice he could muster "Have a good day." Leaving the guards behind still in terror of what he said, Vladimir, the Vodrakin Diplomat made his way to the front desk. They better have my resrvation, the diplomat thought, or else I might just... get mad. |

"No thanks," she replied. "Apology accepted, but I'm here on my own accords. I have a person I'm seeing off and on at home anyway, so you'll excuse me if I decline on your advances." She smiled politely. |

Innokenti rolled his eyes. Once again, this strange, yet lovely vixen had jumped to the wrong conclusion. "I'm afraid that there is a mistake. I wasn't trying to make any advances towards you. I was merely being friendly. No offense, but you shouldn't jump to conclusions. My offer still stands for the free dinner, or if you prefer we could talk about business dealings over a cup of coffee or tea." |

Vladimir walked past the Candisapien couple, trying the best he could to hide his disgust - he had always balmed them for his failing in Vekaiyu. Although he passed them as quickly as possible, he could see the hint of irritation on the female one's face [or he believed it was a female one]. He also passed a man who seemed to be improtant - however it was dificult to tell because of how nervous the chap was. Vladimir gave him a slight nod and continued to the front desk. "Good Day. My name's Vladimir - I believe I have a reservation?" |

Vogel nodded to the passing by man in black coat. Seeing as both Candidsapiens were still in a middle of discussion, he decided to back away. "As a Manager I wish you a pleasant stay, however I still have things to take care of." said Vogel as he started walking in the direction of kitchen. Daniel, however, looked over the guests list. "Ah yes, Vladimir, the Vodrakian diplomat, I suppose? The room B04 on the level +2 is waiting for you. Take this stairs, or an elevator there, and then turn right, it's at the end of the corridor. Our employee will take your luggage for you." Said that little chubby man with a bald head and a blue kepi hat. Most of the staff wore them along with suits in the same shade of color. Daniel being just below 170 cm, weighted 88kg, which didn't make him ridiculously fat, but just kind of trustworthy-looking chubby guy. Because of that he also made guests feel subconsciously that they are better then the staff there, which made them relax easier. And that's one of the reasons why they came here, right? Plus, he was really good with people, for some reason guests always liked him. Whether it was his pleasant looking smile, or his way of guessing how to speak with a guest, no one ever complained about him. Daniel straighted up, after looking below the desk, and put a shiny silver hey with a leather tag that had a "B04" written on it in golden lines. "I hope you will have a pleasant stay here, mister Vladimir!" Said Daniel standing so straight, that if not for his belly, or the fact that both his arms were hanging down, you could swear he was a saluting soldier. |

Sayli smiled and held up her hands. "I apologize then. But unless you are interested in purchasing candles, I really don't deal with anything else." Despite what the man said, she still believed he was quite transparent. And while in times past she had used her advantage as a female to coax buyers into a binding contract, she was on vacation, and wasn't really looking to make a sale. But if she could make money easily in addition to spending it, wouldn't that be the ideal? |

Vladimir took the silver key from the oddly nice employee. Vladimir wondered what was it that made him like the man straight away - maybe some day he will have the time to cut him open and see... We've been over this Vladimir... the voice in his head said No cutting up nice people.. With a heavy sigh the diplomat smiled at the employee and wondered whether to take the elevator or the stairs Easy to get ambushed on the stairs between levels... he though However one can cut the lines of the elevator and I will plunge to my death... Doe! Stop thinking like that... Nobody knows that you are a superb assassin-diplomat, and even if the did, nobody would know that just yesterday the emperor himself gave you a Badge of Valour, one of the highest medal in Vodrak... Nor would they know your assosiation with the ASRD. Wait... One of them can be a mind reader! I should get some sleep... After that odd conversation in his head Vladimir nodded towards his luggage carrier and showed him to take the stairs. He savioured the look on the young man's face - a look of pain and clear dissatisfaction. That is the look he liked. "C'mon now, be a good sport!" Vladimir laughed and headed to the staircase. |

However, as history has clearly shown, there is no such thing as an obsolete item: people will always need candles." Ronald Reagan does not worships god, he worships me!!

" Ron, how long does it take to reach the hotel?" Ron replied," about 15 minutes, Sir". The former admiral laid back on his seat, attempting to rest after hours of flight delay and hold-ups. Before being appointed Special Envoy, he expected himself to retire from 35 years of military service and lived on his lump sum of pensions. Instead, Mr.Chun was painstakenly "persuaded" by the Prime Minister with words of patriotism, to serve his country for one last time. Although he accepted the "sincere" offer, he was cursing Kenobi and whining about it to his aide during the plane flight. Still, the job is at his hand now and he was determined to focus on his tasks. As the car made its turns into the hotel entrance, a few well-dress porter waited patiently for their incoming service tips. Mr.Chun stepped out out of the car and looked around the surrounding environment. He commented, " Well done Serenitech, you established a five star holiday getaway in middle of a war zone. I am impressed." Mr.Chun's mind brightened up with a little optimism about his new job as a diplomat. Maybe it was not as bad as he thought. Dennis and his aides approaches the receptionist. " May I help you, Sir?" " Hi, I am Dennis Chun, Special Envoy for New Nabbers. I believed that the Stromburg Ministry of Foreign Affairs has made reservation for our stay here. May I know what our room numbers? " |

"As with any private business in Vekaiyu it seems, improving. Since they loosened the amount of private business licenses, things have been better. I like the idea of not having the state controlling every bit of a citizen's life. Apparently others like it too. Hence this explosion of Vekaiyun corporations." She walked over to a nearby chair. "It's different, especially with how people can talk about the government now and actually own a company and own parts of other companies by stocks." She shrugged. "I don't know how things will be later down the road, but for now, I'm doing well. Yourself?" |

Intris harbour, one hour ago - Yes, I'll need a warehouse for this. Diplomatic mail, so no peeping. Okay? - Fine by me. - Good. Here's your cash. And I don't want you to let anyone touch them. In short, I'm the only person that can take them away. Okay? - Fine by me. - And you'll call me if someone else tries to as much as smell them. Understood? - Fine by me. - Is there anything not "fine by you"? - You not paying would be. Le Gout De Lux hotel, right now The limousine stopped, allowing its passenger to leave. The hotel boys quickly rushed to the car's trunk, ready to pick up the man's luggage. There wasn't much of it, yet every single suitcase got a separate employee whose only job was to carry it into the lobby. None of them had actually recognized the owner of the luggage, and neither had anyone on the island thus far - an unthinkable concept in many places south of Lazlowia. Frantz Charltonner, for it was him who stepped in the hotel door, at a time enjoyed his fair share of fame. He used to be the frontman for the wildly popular - both home and abroad - Teverian rock band, The Valley Hawks. However, after the group broke up, he went into politics, with some success. Now, six years later, he was the Teverian ambassador to Listonia, coming home from this important diplomatic post for a short holiday. Despite being in his early forties, he still looked young, the fact many at home attributed to liberal application of botox. He was tall, with short black hair and brown eyes. He had a handsome - if a bit unremarkable - face, which surely had come in handy in his rock star days. Dressed in standard diplomatic attire - Italian suit, black tie, shiny leather boots - he walked up to the receptionist's desk. - Hello. My name is Frantz Charltonner, I had a reservation for room... C04, right. Paid in advance. One person. |

"Ah yes, the Stromburg officials! Your reservation was accepted, and your rooms await you. The numbers are B15, B16 and B17" said Daniel putting down keys on the desk with a quiet click against mahogany desk top. He smiled politely. "It's on the floor +2." Something was crawling in the back of his head. A memory. He quickly typed something on the keyboard, looked at a screen and then back at the guests from Stromburg. "I also have a note to remind you, that leaving the premises is not recommended, especially with the current Stromburgian - New Nabberian relations. Untill WA releases the control over the island, and we will be able to establish our own forces here, we are not responsible, for any pro-nationalist nabberian groups in the woods. However I also would like to remind you, that on the premises of this resort, you are safe, with the WA troops defending the hotel." Seeing as the information might scare them a little, he quickly tried to change the subject. He rung a bell on his desk three times. "Those bellhops will help you carry your luggage" Daniel said, as three guys entered the lobby. As soon as Stromburgians left the lobby, a new person came to the desk. Dressed in expensive suit, he looked important, however Daniel didn't recognize him. Fortunately, he introduced himself as a Frantz Charltonner. "Ah yes, mister Charltonner. Yes, your room is ready. Second floor if you will. Hotel boys will take your luggage for you" |

"Thank for your service.", said Dennis though tired but still attempt to smile. He and his aides passed his luggages to the bellhops and made his way to the lift. He was thinking of relaxing himself into a nice tub and took a nap first, before filling his stomach at the hotel restaurant. With the lift door opened, the three man walked out with Dennis eagered to get into his room. As they strolled toward the last corridor, they saw a man waving to him at the far end next to their rooms. Surprised, Dennis looked back for a while and asked his aides," Jerry, did we have any appointments?". To which Jerry replied, " No sir, I just checked the schedules." Dennis looked at the guy, "Looks like we have a visitor. I guess the tub had to wait." |

![]() Peter Waldorf was an overweight, blond guy in a standard Serenitech's suit. As a one CMO, or Chief Marketing Officer of the Voltum, one of the Serenitech owned companies, he had a large amount of money. Position of being a friend of Malcolm Sharpe, the CEO of the whole Serenitech, also helped him in life. He came here, to the Le Gout De Lux, to try and spread products of Voltum - reliable and ecologic hybrid cars - to other countries. It shouldn't be hard, they are not much more expensive then the normal ones, and they save the environment. At least this is his official goal. There was a second one, and it was just a time to start unraveling it. Seeing as the guests from Stromburg had just appeared in the corridor, he waved to them, and then started going in their direction. "Hello gentlemen, my name is CMO Peter Waldorf and I'm the reason you got invited here. Do not be alarmed, my intentions are better then good. I'm sure that the receptionist guy already told you about leaving the compound." His accent sounded a little like very eastern Alleghenian. Or maybe even Vekaiyan. "I'm here on behalf of mister Sharpe, the CEO of Serenitech. I just want to inform you, that certain steps were taken to ensure that, that bastard Jonasz Bur will get what he deserves. Just wanted to tell you a message from Serenitech: 'there might be a chance for Stromburg to take over control over the Nabbers once again'. It's still to early to talk about it. Plus, we shouldn't really discuss it in public, until more is revealed. Now excuse my rudeness, but I must be going now." As he walked away from the stunned Stromburgians he thought to himself boy, this poor guys must not know what is going on right now. Of course some of the informations were better to hide from them for the time being. But still, two informations like that within 10 minutes? I hope they won't spread some bad news to the Stromburg, hotel was pretty expensive... When he had came closer to the elevator he spotted a black clothed person with a smaller one behind him, carrying the luggage. Immediately he recognized his friend in the belhop. "Scott? Scott Mankowsky? I didn't know you work here!" He said as he approach them. "Huh? Oh, Peter, long time. How do you find our hotel? Relaxing much?" "Official Voltum business. Who is this tall gentleman?" "Oh, this is Vodrakian diplomat, mister...uh" "Vladimir" said the guest from Vodrak. "Ah, a pleasure! My name is Peter Waldorf, I'm the CMO of Voltum company. I'm sorry for the brief meeting, but I really have to go downstairs. Later, we really should talk more." And Peter walked into elevator, and rode downstairs. Scott followed the man in black, hoping that they quickly get to the doors. What did that damned Count Dracula carry in his luggage he thought to himself. |

Innokenti answered as he sat across from her, "Business is good. You see, Vulshain is a nation of engineers. Engineering feats are our speciality if you will. Nanotechnology, especially in the medical field, has advanced greatly in the past three years. Currently, my company is working on a new metal alloy that fuses titanium, gold, and diamonds together. It's still in the early development stage, but if we succeed, this new gold-diamond-titanium alloy will be not only extremely durable, but also strongly resistant to damage. Not to mention, the alloy will enable the creation of aircraft capable of flying at heights where current alloys begin to ice over. In fact, icing over is a serious danger to all aircraft, especially airliners. Usually there is equipment to prevent ice from developing, but there have been cases where everyone on board the planes have literally froze to death in a matter of seconds. If this alloy is successful, not only will it retain heat to prevent ice from forming, but it will also allow Vulshain to even advance in other areas." |

Vladimir entered his room, Scotty right behind him. The room was what some may call larvishly decorated - however, having his own [far more luxioriously decorated] villa, Vladimir was hardly impressed. Out of habit he checked the room for bugs or other spy devices Can't be too careful. He thought as he finished checking behind the bed -Is everything alright sir?- Scotty, his luggage boy [or so he concluded from the chat he had with that buisness man] asked -Yes, why of course my Monkey.- Vladimir said -Sir... it's Mankowski- Scotty remarked rather embarased -Pish posh.- Vladimir siad with a bit off neglection in his voice. Maybe I should be careful about this Scotty - he may be dangerous Vladimir drifted off in his thoughts trying to find at least ten ways to kill Scotty using only his bare hands - and maybe Soctties. After a rather long pause, Scotty asked: -Sir, you look as if you were listening to some voices in your head, are you alright?- Oh no he knows about the voices! Quick - hit him in the crotch and run! Oh no, wait - it's Scotty, he doesn't know. Vladimir thought and then anwsered as calmly as he could: -Yes, monkey - but we needn't talk about it. Just set the suitcases on the bed - and that will be all, here you go, for you trouble.- Vladimir gave Scotty a few gold coins - he didn't know what worth they could have to the luggage boy, but three 24-karat gold coins should be enough - and the look on the luggage boy's face seemed to suggest it was more than enough. He bowed and walked out. Finally some time alone Vladimir threw himself on the bed next to the suitcases. Now all I must do is unpack - change into some lighter clothes and off to the bar for a few drinks he thought We've been over this Vladimir The voice in his head commented You know how drinking affects you... Maybe just some tea. Whatever the case, he needed to unpack, so he did so - taking care not to damage his laptop while taking it out. He then changed into warmer clothes, and look at himself in the mirror. He was a bit colour blind, so he could not see that his hawaian shirt was a bit too green. That should do it - I will blend in nicely He smiled, put on his second hat [one made of straw] and walked out of the room. He made his was down the corridor, though he returned three times to the door to make sure it was locked. Then, he took the stairs back down to the lobby. I wonder if there are some human guests that may be to my liking. But for now, lets find the bar. |

That man's pace is sure fast for his weight. At least, leave us a namecard. Rather impolite for a businessman. Felt annoyed and exhausted, he retired into his room and unpacked his luggage. Though still a little stunned by the CMO's words, Dennis wasn't pretty much surprised. He long suspected that the Serenitech was against the Jonasz Bur. The reason was simple, the Jonasz Bur was never a man of his word. His own interests and personal ego blinded his country's potential, at the same time alienating many of his allies and friends. Once a nationalist hero in the eye of many New Nabbers, now a corrupted tyrant who everyone hates. Similar to the Prime Minister's stance, Dennis was hoping for a stable New Nabbers whether it is independent or reunified. But unlike kenobi, he has less sympathy for the locals. He advocated a more tougher approaches including cutting humanitarian aids and military intervention if necessary. As he swirled his glass of wine in the balcony and admiring the tropical views, he couldn't stop thinking about Serenitech's intentions and what Mr.Waldorf meant by his words. Weapon contracts, land acquisition and a resort. Mr Sharpe, what are you guys planning this time? Suddenly, a phone rang interrupted his deep thoughts. He picked up the phone - " Yes Jerry?. Alright, I'll meet you two downstairs at the dining area after my shower." |

Sayli wasn't nearly as well-versed in the field of metallurgy to realize that such a combination was not only incredibly expensive, but useless and impractical as well. She simply nodded and accepted the words of the Vulshainian as fact. "Sounds interesting. I don't believe I've heard of such things in Vekaiyu - not many privateers want to start in the manufacturing market in Vekaiyu unless they had some training or managed factories and wanted to buy them from the government. I work with a factory owner. What's nice is he knows how to make candles in an efficient manner, so I can sell them for cheaper than what the government used to set the price at. It was unheard of in Vekaiyu ten years ago, but it's been getting gradually better. Things just seem... better for Vekaiyun businesspeople." She looked up and at the desk. "Perhaps we should assign our rooms. I'll feel better once my luggage has arrived in its final destination!" |

Innokenti nodded. He smiled as he went to get his room as well. "I agree. It would be a pain if our luggage got lost." OOC: If possible it might be fun to assign Innokenti and Sayli rooms that are right next to each other.

Approaching the front desk, Sayli arched an eyebrow and noticed her bags were still on one of the carts. Nothing to worry about - they were just awaiting their final destination. She smiled and calmly chimed the bell on the desk. "Hello?" she asked. |

Vladimir cursed under his breath - the blasted candidsapiens were still here! He had no idea HOW they were able to take so long to reach their room. He passed them, "accidentaly" bumping into the male one. He tried to appologize, but then decided it was pointless, seeing as it looked like a coyote. He just grunted and walked on to the bar - he could use a good drink. Tea Vladimir. Tea. the voice in his head remineded him. He cursed under his breath again. |

Innokenti apologized when he bumped into the man. "Sorry about that," he said. The man simply grunted and went on his way. He shrugged and walked up to the desk standing next to Sayli after getting his bags. He looked around. "I thought there was someone here." OCC: Smigol if possible put Sayli and Innokenti's rooms right next to each other, just to create some interesting RP moments. |

Money for nothing and coups for free

Daniel sprung up from behind the desk. "Ah yes, I presume you are the businesswoman from Vekaiyu? We do not have much reservations by female Candidsapiens currently." He clicked a few buttons on the keyboard, while looking at the screen of the computer. New Opor-2011, made in Serenitech, was one of the newest and fastest computer for personal usage. And with such a computer was equipped every room. It wasn't necessary, as most of the guests would probably bring their own notebook. However, Serenitech decided it would be in a good taste to do such a thing. Besides, this hotel is luxurious after all. A window popped up on the screen. "Right" said Daniel adjusting his hat "B09 is your room, Miss Iyolessi." He has heard that name before, when she was speaking with Mr. Vogel. "And as for you, Mr. Innokenti, your reservation was made for room B10. Both are on floor +2. Those bellboys will take your luggages" he said pointing at two blonde, and almost identical short guys. They were underage it seemed. 17 at most. Serenitech had a humongous amount of jobs. The price for that, was that some kids had to take job a little earlier then others. Capitalist paradise was sometimes used as a reference to Serenitech, though the poorest of Serenitech, would definetely argue with the later part. No welfare, everything had a price. Everything was in a private sector. Of course, nothing in Serenitech was really private. Every company, every shop, every factory, belonged to something bigger. This bigger company, belonged to another one. And so on, and so on. And at the top - Serenitech. Owning, or at least having a tremendous share in stocks and property every private shop in the country, and a lot in other countries. BGP, Allegheny, Smigsachenweiz. All respectfully had thirty-four, twenty-six and forty-one percent of their private market owned by Serenitech. Bai Lung was a lost cause, Vodrak had an official holiday based on hatred against Serenitech, and Listonia was socialist. Vekaiyu however has found itself in more or less capitalism, and Serenitech would definetely try to use it for their advantage. "Have a nice day" said Daniel, as two bright haired boys jumped for the luggage. OOC: Vulshain, I too though so. Though I might use this moment to remind everyone, that rape is forbidden inside borders of Serenitech. Just sayin' |

OOC: there is a link to the music somewhere below. When you got to it put it in the background for bonus points. Waldorf was quickly strolling down the hallway. Quite quickly for a fat man like himself. He burst open into the kitchen. There were some cooks there, but no Vogel around. Most unfortunate. He turned to the nearest one. "Hey, you! Were is your boss?" "Co chcesz?" said a man in response, with a sign of incomprehension "Wha..? Vogel! Where. Is. Vogel?" "Ah, Vogel! Poszedł się napić! Do baru. Wiesz - 'beer'. A teraz mi nie przeszkadzaj! Shoo, shoo!" said the cook very quickly. Damned, lazy pollack cussed Waldorf in his mind. He was stunned when he was chased away from the kitchen. He understood nothing, except 'beer'. He's probably in the Lounge, checking the bartender or the guests there thought Waldorf running down the stairs. He was a little stressed. It was already half past five p.m. True, Nabberian climate ensured that it would still be hot and bright for another four hours at least, but the time was running out. Only a few days now. He entered the lounge, where music was playing, only to see a sitting man with a curly brown hair. He looked not bigger then 180 cm. And he was drinking a brown liquid. "Vogel? What are you drinking? Whiskey? You hate whiskey!" "I'm just stressed. It's that Polish chief!" "Tell me about it..." said Waldorf rolling his eyes. The room was luxurious, even more then the rest of the hotel. Beige walls covered with green ornaments with golden outlining. Big, comfy chairs in similar pattern. A sofa here, and there. Carved, mahogany, brown coffee tables. There was a bar on the western side of the room, with a dark-skinned bartender from the Sevrian Desert region of Serenitech, judging by his harsh, though song-like accent. The opposite wall, was made entirely out of glass, with glass doors here, and there, allowing for the view at the people near the pool. The Colonel of WA forces was standing there, smoking his cigarette. Lounge was the only room, where you could actually smoke, not leaving the building, but Isaac Johnson still preferred to go outside. Said it clears his mind. Probably just a weird Cascadian custom. BGP was a strange country. "He is responsible for the big dinner tomorrow, and I cannot understand a word he's saying! Some of the guests are here, more will be coming in a few days. And there is you..." "Huh?" Waldorf was nodding up to this point. "What about me?" "You know what! And that's the point, neither you, nor Serenitech will explain to me, why you had booked four rooms, and three of which were given to Stromburgians!" "We're just trying to spread Voltrum to Stromb..." "You know that's not the only cause! You are planning something! Serenitech is planning something! I remember what happened in the Vodrak!" "They shouldn't destroy the paperweights!" "That's not what I'm talking about. The way we got Crystvodia..." "Shut it!" said Waldorf when he noticed that doors to the lounge were opening, and the Vodrakian diplomat entered the room. Hopefully he didn't hear it. Everyone knows that the region of Crystvodia, or rather west-Misty town is a touchy subject to Vodrakians. "Now, I'll explain everything to you in it's own time" "No bloodshed this time I hope?" "Don't worry, we've what, twenty WA soldiers here?" Said looking at the Colonel, who was now putting his cigarette out, and looked like he was going to come back in a second. "We are safe! Now go, do your job Vogel!" "Ok" he said standing up. He took his jacket from the arm of the chair and left the room. Waldorf looked at the Vodrakian diplomat with a calm smile. |
