Innokenti nodded. "Thank you." He took the key to his room and said to Sayli, "Looks like we'll be seeing each other a lot while here."

He then followed the bellhop to his room.

Sayli was admiring the computer with which the receptionist was using. While it wasn't one of those new holographic computers some Vekaiyun company was making, it still had its own flair, and appeared quite fast. It seemed like no matter where she turned, technology was progressing. And while she was on top of her game in the candle industry, a year from now could be a different story.

"Damn," she thought as she heard her room and its proximity to the Vulshainian. "Thank you," she replied cordially to the receptionist. She turned to the baggage handlers. "Please place my bags in +2-B09." She handed them 20's, although they were in Veskono form. Was this a place where tips were expected, or was it insulting to get a tip? Regardless, at least it'd be an incentive to not damage her bags on the way to her room, she hoped.

Sayli turned to the receptionist. "So what is there to do at this resort? I read the pamphets, but perhaps you could give me more information?"

Innokenti thanked the bellhop for taking him to his room. "Here you go, and thanks again." He handed the bellhop a tip. A tip that caused the bellhop's jaw to hang open.

Innokenti looked out at the pool. He was still curious about Sayli. "Certainly an interesting vixen. Although, she has a tendency to jump to the wrong conclusions. Still, it would be best to give her some space. Hm...I should express interest in funding her candle business though. It might get her attention." Innokenti smiled.

OOC: He gave the bellhop 150 blue riyals, which are worth more than American dollars. Seriously, I did the math.

Vladimir noted the man who was smiling. His smile was a rather forced calm one - perhaps he had been talking about something he shouldn't have?
Or maybe he is just smug... A thought came to Vladimir's mind All those Serenitechian scum are... ever since they took Mist City... the Emperor says it was a planned move, but it did seem more like a faux pas Vladimir wanted to talk to the man - maybe put some fear into him, but he decided it was not worth the effort. So he just walked up to the bar and said:
-What is the strongest drink you have here?-
You had better hope it's tea - cause you are not drinking anything else the voice in his head said, but this time Vladimir ignored it. Ever since his failure in Vekaiyu, the voice had become more persistant, maybe he should see a psychologist upon his return to Vodrak
Then again they all seem to favour the idea that a dead mad-man is a good mad-man...

"Vell, the strongestee ees rectivied spiritee." - said the dark-skinned bartender with an accent from the northern, desert-like part of Sevropia. It had a nice song-like feeling to it, though it was harsher and a little more unintelligible. "Hovever, I dun't recommendee eet, eef you are not exgperiencedee weeth eet. Perhaps you vould like a standardee Vodka? Vee have a largxe choicee of drinks in the menu here" he said giving a little colourful book full of pictures and descriptions of drinks. There were vodka drinks, rum drinks, tequilla drinks. Even such combinations as Coffee and Tea with alcohol. Large list of wines, also was found in this menu, as well as a large list of non-alcoholic beverages and appetizers. A menus like this were found on every table as well. The bartender looked at the client with his light green eyes, and waited patiently scratching his long beard.

Meanwhile in the lobby.

Daniel removed his hat, and scratched the tip of his bald head. He appeared lost in thoughts. Looking somewhere in unspecified direction he said "I know for sure, that there are tennis courts, both outside and inside, basketball field if one shall need to express himself in such sports. There are saunas, gyms and spas, perhaps those will interest you. Of course there is a swimming pool just outside of lounge. If you however would like to swim in the real ocean, there is a nice and gentle path going down the cliff a kilometer to the north from here, however you gotta walk through the jungle path, and it's outside of the premises of Le Gout De Lux, so personally I advise you to forget about it. There is also a pool table in the lounge. A bar there also has a large choice of drinks and extravagant food and what-not." He said putting his hat back on, and looking back at the Vulpine. "Is there anything else I can help you with?"

Vladimir sighed. In Vodrak the bartender would immediately recommend the Vodrak Diplomat's Bane, which's effect is like having your brains smashed out by a slice of lemon, wrapped 'round a large gold brick. Of course many kings in their day were assassintated like this. Vodrakian assassins always were creative.
-Then the Vodka it is.- Vladimir said, escpecially thickening his accent to be more Vodrakian [to those un familiar: more russian]. -Heck with it, give me a whole bottle.-
Ekhem. the voice in his head reminded
-And a cup of tea- Vladimir added

Bartender has disappeared for a while behind the bar. A few seconds later he came back with three different bottles. "I think you vill likee one of thesee" he said putting down the bottles on the top of the bar. "This ees Smigsachwian Tear, a mildee, yet bitter vodka weeth 36% of alcoholee een eet. This one ees Russkyi Standartee - a strong 40%. I'd recomendee this one. Hovever you mightee also vant Pittsburghian Gear. This one hasee 38% of alcoholee een eet." he looked at the client. "Ov coursee eet's not the only ones ve have, but I think you vill likee them the best. Please sitee down, I'll bring the tea to you een a minutee." He disappeared somewhere behind the bar. He wasn't scared that the vodka-lover will steal the bottles. Firstly - guests were too rich to steal stuff. Secondly - price for open bar was counted into the price of a room. Should he want to take all three bottles, noone would argue against it.

"Swim?" she asked. "In the ocean? Oh no thanks, I've actually never done that before. I mean I guess I wouldn't mind learning but... I prefer more calmer waters. And even then I'm more of a land-based vulpine." She smiled. "Perhaps a drink would be good. I could loosen up a little bit after the long trek over here. Could you direct me to the bar, please?"

Innokenti decided to get a drink. Not too much, but something to drink after his long flight here. He passed the bellhop that was carrying Sayli's bags to her room. He hoped the bellhop wouldn't accidentally put her bags in his room. That would be bad for him in many ways.

He asked the bellhop directions to the bar, which he gladly gave. Innokenti smiled, and thanked the bellhop giving him a tip for his help.

Innokenti was known for his generosity, but it didn't mean he was naive or a pushover. He was a skilled kickboxer after all and he had to bash a few skulls in, especially during that time an assassin tried to run him through with a sword. He instinctly touched the scar where the sword had nicked the side of his waist.

He walked towards the bar.

Vladimir waited paitently for the man to return with his tea, all the while trying to decide what drink to go with. The Ruski Standard sounded tempting, Vladimir had a strong head, so there should not be a problem with getting drunk too quickly, and he had heard that it was a rather tasty vodka.
Still not as good as a tea. the voice in his head protested. Vladimir ignored it, he does not need a nanny to look out for him. However, he hopped someone might irritate or otherwise attack him - maybe then he could "accidentaly" kill that being? It has been long since he spilt blood, and the Vodrakian Corpus Diplomatica Agents found it harder to let people live than to kill them. This has earned them the nickname "Vampire Corps", however Vladimir didn't like the implication that they couldn't stand the sun and garlic - quite frankly he loved garlic bread.
Come to think of it... A thought sprang into his mind I do feel rather uncomfortable when I see a crucifix...

Daniel looked on the eastern doors, just left to him.
"The Lounge is just behind these doors, Miss Iyolessi"
Just then from behind the doors emerged Thomas Vogel - the director of Le Gout De Lux. He looked a little puzzled. Or maybe worried? With his jacket thrown over his shoulder he looked less of a man he tried to pose as 20 minutes ago. He then turned into the doors on his right, not spotting the Vulpine that was still standing near the lobby desk.

Sayli smiled and nodded at the receptionist. "Thank you, I'll be sure to sit down and enjoy myself." She didn't know if she was required to tip the receptionist for helping her (some nations were like that), but once she scanned the desk and noticed there wasn't any tip jar nearby, she decided perhaps this receptionist was paid well enough. After all, it was a five-star hotel.

Her heels clicked across the floor as she walked over to the bar. Upon entering, she was impressed with the decor: marble and dark wood along with mood lighting gave a certain relaxed atmosphere. Carefully pulling the chair out in front of her, she gracefully sat down and pulled her skirt down slightly in an almost involuntary reaction.

Calling for the barkeep, the vulpine female ordered her favorite summer drink. "Gin and tonic, please, with a splash of grenadine?"

Innokenti walked into the bar. And sat down at a table. As he was pulling out he nearly bumped into the person behind him. He turned around to apologize. "Oh snap. It's her again." "Oh hello again, Ms. Iyolessi. I didn't expect to find you here."

Vladimir took a sip of the vodka.
oh sure... poison yourself... the voice inside his head said. So, to shut it up, Vladimir took a sip of the tea the bartender had brought him. It was not too much to his liking, but he didn't expect that it would without three liters of alcohol per two liters of tea in it...
He turned around and swore under his breath
Are these the same vulpine? Yes... I believe so. Or rather I hope so. Not sure if I would be able to stand more that two in the same buliding as I... maybe I should lessen their number before they start to multiply? like rabits they are... I am sure of it...
You will not harm those fluffy kind beings! what have they done to deserve such disdain? The voice inisde his head protested. For the first time in years Vladimir replied to it:
I was the best assassin... and then... they ruined it... they took my pride almost caught me and I failed my mission - losing three men to boot... I was stripped of my rank and sent here to rot for a while. Luckily they didn't kill me, though had I know there would be vulpines here I would have gone to the gallows myself!

"Geen an' toneec, righte avay!" said bartender accepting the order with his strong accent. He poured it almost immediately. "Her-ee!" He smiled politely. His face was perfect for his job - he was this kind of polite-looking, happy foreigner you would tip, if he did have a tip jar. Of course willing people always found a way. That's why people loved to serve Peter Waldorf. His wallet was as fat as he was. And he always slipped a banknote somewhere. Bartender realized that Peter is standing at the bar.

"Give me a White Russian, lad!" said Waldorf. While waiting for his drink, he turned left to see a pair of Candidsapiens.

"I hope I'm not disturbing. Just wanted to say hi. Peter Waldorf is my name, and I represent Voltum, you probably have heard about us. We produce the best, and the most affordable hybrids, and electronic cars on the market. Do anyone of you happen to be a Vekayiuan? We are planning to spread to Vekaiyu, and I was hoping for a little look inside the reality of Vekayiuan so called 'capitalism'." He accented the last word. It wasn't contempt or anything. Just a hint of sarcasm.

"Vitee Rushian, Valdorv!" Said the bartender. Peter grabbed his drink and took a sip.

"Magnifecent as always, my friend." Said Waldorf, 'accidentaly' slipping a banknote behind the counter. Tipping wasn't illegal, but he didn't like to make it look as he was willing to give away money - that wasn't a good trait in Serenitech. Of course everyone knew about this, so they didn't mind to pretend that the tipping was intentional.

"Hello there," Sayli replied to Innokenti, giving a slight nod. Her ears perked up when the bartender affirmed her request for a gin and tonic. She tried to discern his accent, but she couldn't quite place it.

Her attention was swayed when Peter Waldorf addressed her and the other canidsapian individual. All the talk of hybrid cars was interesting, but she wasn't an expert on the subject. She simply nodded until he began asking questions about Vekaiyu. When he said the word 'capitalism', she snickered. "I'm Vekaiyun," she began as she turned to face Waldorf. "And while I wish we were capitalist, we aren't. Our government still has a lot of control over businesses, but it's gotten much better over the past year." She took a sip of her drink. "Wow, this was mixed quite well! Anyway, we're market socialist, which means the government allows for private ownership but it's regulated. To own a business that operates in multiple provinces in Vekaiyu, a Vekaiyun needs a private ownership license. They're easy to get these days - you just have to fill out some paperwork and have a government official tour your operations."

She took another sip from her drink, liking the little umbrella placed in it. "Vekaiyu's still going through changes though. A lot of private business owners think it'll only get easier for us to do our business." Smiling, she folded one leg over the other. "My business went on the record in January. I'm now selling candles to other nations even, which brings money and prestige into Vekaiyu. Vekaiyuns like those things, so I firmly believe they'll only improve with time. It's already really helped our economy."

Innokenti replied, "And I'm Vulshainian. We got a fairly good mixture of capitalism and socialism, too much of either one would probably be a bad thing I guess. Anyhow, I own my company and we actually produce aerospace equipment and technologies. Currently, we're working on something for the government at the request of my cousin and Confederate Royal Premier, Cecilia Rainard. Something for the military. We just received the request a few days ago, just prior to His Majesty's trip to Vekaiyu. Currently, my company is rated as one of the best aerospace companies in Vulshain."

He then asked Sayli. "Hm...Have you thought about expanding to Vulshain? I don't think I've heard of a candle business from Vekaiyu entering our markets. In Kitumang, you could probably make a lot of money, as the city is very Vekaiyun in style and influence." Innokenti snapped his fingers. "You know I just got an idea: if you like I could even help you expand into my nation. We could discuss..." he noticed her crossing her leg. "Damn...I hate it when female clients or rivals do that! Makes it hard for me to concentrate." He continued, "...the terms of such a partnership later. To show my honesty..." he was having trouble focusing... "...let me cover your tab. Um...Barkeep...I'll have the same thing she's having, please. And I'll pay for both her and my drinks."

"Interesting..." Thought Waldorf, holding his chin. Or rather chins. It helped him think. When the female one stopped talking, he begun listening to the other one. An idea sprung into his mind. As he was thinking about the possibility, he realized that the male Candidsapien has begun acting strangely.

'Even more interesting. He acts as if this Vekaiyun vixen has been very much to his liking. Is she beautiful by the standards of their specie? It seems so, the guy forgot that all drinks are free. Or rather conveniently included in the price of the hotel room.' thought Waldorf. He wondered if his 'accidental' tipping gave him wrong idea. 'Anyway, good-looking native Vekaiyun... It would be a good PR.'

"You, sir. I know that the Serenitech presence in Vulshain is probably one of the lowest through-out the nations with a private sector in their economy. And I think I might have got an idea how to correct this situation. I do not only represent Voltum, but I'm also a close friend of Mr. Sharpe. You probably have heard of him - the CEO of Serenitech. That's why I'd like to ask both of you your business cards. You." he said pointing at the awkwardly acting Vulshainian. "I'm gonna spread a good word about your business around the Serenitech. You can expect a call withing the next few weeks, with a pretty lucrative business offer. That said, no offence to you..." Still looking at the Innokenti "But I'd like to ask you miss Vekaiyu, to withhold with a response to this offer. As I said, one of our major goals lately is to find a way of spreading to the Vekaiyu's market." 'A still empty and vulnerable market' he added in his thoughts. "I'm pretty sure, that the pretty lover-boy here can offer you a pretty romantic evening, and a, hopefully, a good starting point on the Vulshain's market. If you count on the first thing, I'm sorry miss, but Serenitech cannot give it to you. However, what we CAN do, is boost up your international image, and help you spread to other countries. Candles aren't a market with a big competition and rivalry, so this is a pretty lucrative offer. ...I think there even isn't a single candle producing company in Serenitech right now. We import it from Gesseria, or some other insular country. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is: You would help us get licenses - I believe that they are easier to acquire by Vekaiyuns - and establish a base in Vekaiyu. In return to that, we would make you and that pretty, little company of yours into an international corporation. Listen lady, you can get very, very rich here. I presume we could double your earnings in a two months time in Vekaiyu alone, with advertisment and such."

He then glanced over the other Candidsapien. "Of course as I said, if you value a date more than large sums of dollars, choose him. Serenitech's policy has been for a long time - do not date clients. And I'm not gonna break it."

Innokenti was having trouble controlling his tail. He was blushing and getting flustered by what the Serenitech official had called him: loverboy. Sure, he had been with some pretty ladies, but that wasn't technically business. Still, he swallowed his embarrassment. He chuckled a bit. "I'm sorry, you must have the wrong idea. I was merely, being polite and courteous to her. I don't mix business with pleasure." "Well, most of the time," he thought. "She is quite beautiful, yes, but I was hoping to talk business with me first before enjoying time by our shelves." He handed Waldorf a business had the name of his company among other things, and they were printed first in Unonian, then Lobonese, and finally English.

He was still flustrated after what happened. "Tell me Ms. Iyolessi what special types of candles do you sell?"

Sayli looked at the two businessmen. "All this for candles?" she thought. "Or the Vekaiyun market? I'm really not one to make a judgment call there, but if the Vekaiyun market is at least partially free, why not?" She ignored the tab picked up by Innokenti, not entirely sure what he was doing, but sure she could play to his very obvious attraction to her.

"Of course," she said as she held up her hands in a warm gesture. She opened her purse and immediately pulled out a business card. Priding herself on her organizational habits, she smiled and handed Waldorf her card, complete with little candle motifs on it. "Aygasi Solav is the name of my company. It's kind of a play on words, because in Vekaiyu aygasi means wax and Solav translates to something like slow burn. Candles, of course, are made of wax and burn slowly, hence the name of my company. We use a special blend of paraffin, which is actually an oligomer, or a type of pre-polymer. It burns slowly and cleanly and it even feels like wax, and we initially got it from a Vekaiyun polymer company that simply threw it out. And as for special types of candles," she continued, turning to Innokenti, "we have multiple types. We started selling religious candles, but our profits increased quite a bit once we started making more everyday candles. Unscented, scented, both offered in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. Probably our most impressive product is a candle shaped like a bush. We sell it during Easter, as when you light it a special process used during synthesis causes it to burn, like the Biblical burning bush."

She paused and finished her gin and tonic, turning her attention back to Waldorf. "Anyway, we'd have to hammer out the details, but if you can avoid the Vekaiyun government, you shouldn't have a problem. Vekaiyu... is still a bit backwards when it comes to an open market, especially when it comes to foreign competition. I'm not really an expert on it, though, but I can help where help is needed."

She's a diplomat for her nation, who generaly a nerd interested in other cultures in different nations however she acts as an elitist towards lesser nations or powerful or etc nations but she trys to keep it towards herself. She was asigned to travel to New Nabbers owned by Serenitech, athough in her opinion that she wasn't a fan on going to a ruined 3rd world nation with this corporation grabing it's claws on parts of the nations land. "Hopefully this hotel has some interestly peeps in, it would suck if theres mafia bosses as guest in there, it would prove my point that this nation is a hell hole."she thought.

As she come into the hotel lobby, she was already shock to the climate that it was alot hoter and she wasn't used to it before.Frankly she wasn't impressed too much by the layout of the hotel since many of the casinos in Legokiller's cities are luxurious with different themes in each one of them. But then again those casino's probably spoiled her for luxurious building.

After looking around the lobby, she walk to the front deck. "Hopefully they got my reservation in..."She though.

Innokenti nodded. He was having a great deal of trouble dealing with Sayli. "Damn it! Why is she having this kind of effect on me?" He smiled at her. "I see. From what you have told me, your candles would certainly be a huge hit in Vulshain. There aren't that many candle businesses in Vulshain at the moment. The government doesn't like monopolies, but there's one business that seems to have corner the market. However, I believe that people would be glad to have something new to buy as the current businesses aren't...well, let's just say that their candles aren't something to write home about. If you like we could discuss more about a business deal over dinner. In Vulshain it is custom to have a dinner in honor of potential business clients. Helps the mood."

Innokenti nodded. "What time should we meet? Tonight?"

Innokenti knew that many would find it strange for an aerospace corporation to be assisting a candle business in expanding, but if she was right about her candles being popular, then, what was the harm in making a little money on the side. He smiled as he asked the bartender for another round.

"Tonight would work. I don't have anything planned, but you don't need to order me a drink, I can manage on my own thank you." Of course, she would have to inform her contacts back in Vekaiyu about the business venture, but that wouldn't be too big of a hassle. She had an idea of how it would all play out.

Waldorf, after getting business cards, smiled to both of, hopefully, future Serenitech partners. He grabbed his drink and went to Isaac Johnson, Colonel of WA forces stationing in the region, who just entered the room, from the outside. WA forces were "securing the safety of people of New Nabbers". In reality, large groups of partisans were still throughout the country, official government couldn't have an army, and no foreign country could interfere - much to displeasure of Stromburg, Waldorf assumed. New Nabbers, was a region of Stromburg that rebelled a few years back, and he bet they wanted to get this back.

"Just be patient" thought Waldorf.

He sat next to Cascadian WA forces leader, and begun the conversation.

'So, how...'
'I saw fifteen of them today' replied Isaac. 'They are still too scared, but I fear that our twenty soldiers, plus a armored truck, might be not enough.'
'Don't worry, they wouldn't attack us!'
'There are Stromburgians in this hotel! I'm not talking about the diplomats - the staff you are employing - some of them are Stromburgian!'
'So? We also have some Nabberians'
'They see them as traitors. I've heard what is happening on the Nabberian soil - not inside the boundaries you guys bought. There are lynches, mobs. One of our groups even got attacked by them. Five WA soldiers died in Donnerov!'
'Isaac, talk quieter, do NOT spread the panic. Do not worry, we are safe - we are the ones with guns. They only have machetes, and such.'
'Yes, for now. But what if they get their hands on guns? Eh, why isn't there more WA soldiers. Plus, the possibility to actually shoot those savages, would be convenient.'
'I thought you can shoot at them?'
'Only, if they attack and hurt one of the soldier, are the rest able to react.'
'I told you, what you can...'
'No, I will not ask WA to remove WA forces from this island. This would only allow Stromburg to storm the place!'
'Maybe it's for the best?'
Captain Iso Teakliu, second in command in the stationary WA forces inside this perimeter said 'I agree, we should leave this situation to Stromburg'
Waldorf and Isaac, who didn't see him until now, startled.

MEANWHILE IN RECEPTION

Daniel, the slightly chubby receptionists smiled with what some people described as a "smile that is so warm, it actually burns".
'Of course, Miss Hale! We are eager to welcome you to Le Gout De Lux, the 2nd most luxurious hotel Yasteria, and 3rd in the whole East Pacific. Of course we have your reservation - your room is B05, on the level +2. Have a nice, day, our valet boys will gladly take your luggage to your room.' he said, as he pressed the bell on his desk. Scott, a young bellhop emerged from a room behind the desk.
'Scott, please take Miss's luggage to her room - B05. Just next to the Vodrakian diplomat, you served earlier.'
'Of course!'
'Then, Miss Hale, I wish you a pleasant stay!'

Kayle smiled and took her room key. "He smile looks really odd... it could be the fact that this local temperate is 104 or less." she thought.
"Hmm I don't want to go to my room right now: there should be a bar in the lounge, I really need an good iced tea."As she left towards the lounge letting scott carry her lugguage to her room.

When she came into the lounge, she recognize two candidsapiens that looks like a couple or a starting out one. She got a bit excited to meet one of them, mostly the vulpine female, probably most likely from vekaiyu. "meh, I could talk to that female vulpine for awhile, it would be nice to know about her nation. The other one the male lobo, well it doesn't look like one, he looks more like a dog. What sick men will mess up a lobo DNA to make him look like this."She thought.

She approached the vulpine female eager to meet her."Hello, sorry if I pop into your conversion, but I will certainly like talk to you if you don't mind."She said in clean english.

You got blood on my Suit.
Despite trying to drown his disgust in alcohol, Vladimir was slowly getting annoyed with the vulpine.
Why are they even WITH humans... he though glaring at the male one who seemed to be very attracted to the female one. VLadimir was not sure if the female shared the male's... interest. I always thought they would have some kind of... dog house? fox hole? whatever...
Aren't you a bit rude? the voice in his head said
-That's it!- Vladimir rose up and turned on his heel to leave the bar, all the while glaring at the vulpine, hoping to provoke him into dealing the first blow. As he passed them he whipsered [though just loudly enough so the candid-sapiens could hear]
-I wonder if I should have brought a flea repellant...-

Innokenti had dealt with bigots before, but he assumed the man had simply too much to drink, and paid no attention to his comment about flea repellant. When the woman had come forward he greeted her, "Hello there. It is a pleasure to meet you. Please sit down."
