Legally, (following out Standing Orders for voting) We got 3 Ayes (Carondia's was after the 96 Hour mark, unless my math is wrong)(Section 6.(1)

That being 3/5, or, 60%

Now, following 7.(1) At least 2/3 of Magisters must have made their presence known during a vote, whether having voted for or against a motion or having declared their abstention from the vote

2/3 being 66%

---
Following that, this didn't get passed. Unless we void 6.(1), which would be illegal.

Let's leave that up to the Provost to decide. It's clear that there was support for the bill.

I believe that there is more than enough votes in favor of this bill passing.

As of 10:31 PM (the time here in Barnwell, SC) November 14, 2011, the Offices of Newspapers and Tourism Act has been approved by me!

Yep yep yep!

Well you were actually supposed to send it to the executive office to give me a chance to veto said resolution.

...but even so, I don't veto this.

So it's passed. Good work. Tomorrow I'll begin drawing up a means to determine our two officers. I will also give requests to the admin peeps to change the newspaper and tourism forums to better reflect our newest governmental change.

I'm glad it passed. For the record, I would have voted in favor of it, had I been here in time to vote. But I had a crunch week at school. Always fun.

With the end of the semester coming up, equipped with heavy-weighted projects and papers, I'm glad I get to catch a break and sit out this next Magisterial term. I look forward to serving again next time around.
