The following is an excerpt from a supposed leaked classified document from the Dannistrian Central Government. All departments deny it's authenticity. Allegedly it is from a report detailing an international surveillance system known only as POST OFFICE. It was originally posted on an internet forum covering conspiracy theories two years ago. The person who posted it has not been heard from since.

The system is supposedly based on a number of distributed servers, all of which connected to the internet via [REDACTED] links through [REDACTED] and [REDACTED]. Several servers for the system are particularly concentrated in the country [REDACTED] and are still active to this day despite war damage in the recent conflict involving [REDACTED] and [REDACTED]. The system supposedly intercepts all communications from Short Wave Radio Transmissions to Emails and HTTP traffic. It has the ability to monitor [REDACTED] Petabytes of data in [REDACTED] minutes. The system works via several forms of heuristics based on the research work done by Doctor [REDACTED] and his research associates, [REDACTED], [REDACTED] and [REDACTED]. The system also has a sophisticated brute force decryption system designed to ensure encrypted traffic up to [REDACTED] level can be monitored and disseminated. [REDACTED] is known to be a location of one of the monitoring stations in Dannistaan, however in the interests of national security, plausible deniability must be maintained at all times by issuing no comment whatsoever on the nature of operations at [REDACTED], as well as as the lack of information on [REDACTED]. Care must be taken not to make any mentions on social networking sites and all employees involved in Project POST OFFICE and [REDACTED] must be screened up to security level [REDACTED]...

The following transcript was posted on an internet forum covering conspiracy theories. It supposedly details radio dialogue between an operative from "Section 9", the Dannistrian intelligence body and some unknown commanding body or person. It is supposedly transcribed from the secure internal military radio system. Judging by the nature of the chatter, it is possible that the command body may be speaking to several different operatives not detailed in the transcription. It is believed the "bus" referred to is actually a truck or light aircraft. The target is supposedly a criminal on the wanted list

The following is a brief history of both the main intelligence body in Dannistaan, the DISOC and the military's internal affairs body, otherwise known as DMID as well as the antagonistic relationship between the two groups. The excerpt is from a book published in Dannistaan detailing possible secretive Governmental bodies in Dannistaan.

Unlike many other nations, Dannistaan has traditionally not operated separate domestic, national and military intelligence agencies, preferring instead to maintain a single body responsible for all intelligence matters. Prior to 1975, this was carried out by an ad hoc body referring to as the Dannistrian Colonial Intelligence Office, know as DCIO, which was little more than a satellite facility of it's then colonial master, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. On attaining independence on 1st June 1975, the newly independent Dannistrian Central Government decided to continue with the single body approach to intelligence and formed a body which was officially part of the Dannistrian Army, though technically there was no such thing as a "Dannistrian Army" at the time. The term was an umbrella name used jointly by the 5 state militaries land forces which existed at the time. The intelligence body ended up with the official name "Dannistrian Army, Section 9, Intelligence Operations". This section number ended up becoming a shorthand nickname for the the organisation. From there, even with the reorganisation and renaming of the body to Dannistrian Army, Section 6, Dannistrian Intelligence and Special Operations Commission or DISOC for short, the formidable body is still known in intelligence circles and the general public as "Section 9".

From what little we know and what little the Central Government was willing to divulge, DISOC/Section 9's current operations include, but are not limited to, signal intelligence, military intelligence, black projects (secret Governmental research programmes) and black ops (secretive military special operations). Although technically part of the military, DISOC is involved in the civilian intelligence area and hires a large unspecified number of civilian operatives. The only known major facility belonging to DISOC is probably Camp Tango, a closely guarded military compound within the Dannistrian Central Training Barracks north of Dannistra Onn.

Little is known about the internal structure of DISOC. What has been released is listed below.

GOS: General Operatives Service. This is where the bulk of DISOC personnel are employed. They consist of field operatives, ranked under 5 different levels depending on skill and experience. Is it unknown how these operatives are ranked and what their exact roles are.
TACOPS: TACtical OPerationS. Supposedly Field Operatives who are more senior than GOS staff. Generally TACOPS staff consist of military soldiers, rumoured to be part of 175th "Nightwatch" Regiment, which answers directly to the Ministry of Defence. They are believe to be involved in major operations and "black ops".
COMMANDEP:COMMunications ANalysis DEParment. The main SIGINT section of DISOC. Possibly responsible for the rumoured POST OFFICE communications interception system.
RESIDE: RESearch Intelligence DirectoratE. The department responsible for research projects.
SID: Special Investigations Directorate. The most mysterious of the departments. Very little is known about SID other than it appears to deal with all assignments that are not dealt with by other departments.

In an attempt to curb the potential abuses of power within not just DISOC but other armed forces personnel, the Central Government set up a body which even members of the normally secretive DISOC appear to be uncomfortable with. Prior to 1975, no such body existed and all allegations of misconduct were investigated internally, either by the body itself or the appropriate section of Military Police. However, after 1975, a new body, named Section 10, Dannistrian Army Internal Affairs. This body was tasked with investigation of corruption in all Dannistrian Armed Forces. Despite the name it was not limited to the army.

Eventually with the military shakeup around 2005, the body was removed from the army structure and moved into the new combined Royal Dannistrian Joint Military Police. There the body was renamed the Dannistrian Military Internal Directorate, or DMID. Despite it's important work, even less is known about DMID than DISOC. What is known from hearsay is that traditionally DISOC looks upon DMID with a large amount of suspicion due to it's nature, as do many members of the other armed forces. DMID staff are said to report directly to both the Ministry of Defence and the Home Office, the body responsible for domestic civilian security. DMID investigators are known to use the exact same tactics that DISOC uses to infiltrate foreign groups, leading to further suspicion and mistrust between the two bodies.
