Another Newbie's Intro

Okay. So I’ve joined as the small capitalistic, slightly authoritarian nation of Ruelria. Yes, I am new and I apologize deeply for being naive about this. But what exactly is my position supposed to do? As in, what available actions can I do that will help my nation grow better and more powerful? And suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Don’t worry about the issues. There isn’t really a “right” combination of correct answers. Just do what you find to be right (or interesting) and see where it winds up!

Please don’t feel that you have to apologise for being new, and being new doesn’t necessarily imply naive. The issues just take some getting used to, that’s all. As Kandarin said, there really isn’t a “right” combination of correct answers. I’ve found that with many of the issues, the possible outcomes of particular choices are bad, worse and horrific!

You probably have some idea of what type of government you want your nation to have. Choose solutions which would seem to help you achieve those ends. Remember that you can always dismiss an issue if none of the solutions is palatable. Anything you choose will involve a trade-off: civil rights or political freedoms may well suffer if your economy improves depending upon the issue.

Remember, you don’t HAVE to deal with an issue the day you get it. You can let it slide and deal with other issues as necessary, and ask someone what kind of results they received when they answered a particular way.

But …
