BREAKING NEWS: IF REJECTS PACILVANIA MEMBERSHIP, OFFERS OBSERVERSHIP
Our first news of the day comes directly from the International Forum. The IF Security Council voted to reject the application of the Sultanate of Packilvania for membership, and instead offered observer status to them. Our ambassador to the Security Council, Gabrielle Lajoie, awaits the response from Packilvania, but sources from inside the IF say “things are tense over here. No one is quite sure what is going to happen.” ANT reached out to the Office of the Chairman of the Security Council and we got a reponse.
Klara Sarinov’s statement on the issue: “I am beholdant to the decisions of the members of our Security Council, as voted by the member states of the International Forum. It is unfortunate we cannot exist in a world in which all nations can be accepted without issue, but that ideal is not currently attainable. Packilvania was given the same treatment as every other candidate, and was additionally given the option of Observership if it so chooses, but that is the decision that the Security Council has made at this current time.”
ALKSEARIAN NAVY ON HIGH ALERT
After troubling reports of a Packilvanian fleet mobilizing toward the North Concordian Ocean has left Queen Dorothea putting the Alksearian Royal Navy on Red alert. While Alksearia is not going to mobilize it’s fleet, it is relying on Norgsveldet for any further developments. We asked the Admiral of the Royal Navy for a comment, and they gave us this statement:
“Alksearia is committed to the defense of her own homelands and her allies. We wish for no hostility between the two nations, and a quick and peaceful resolution can be reached. The Alksearian Royal Navy is ready to assist if needed.”
PACKILVANIA SHIP RESCUED; RESPONSE TO PACKILVANIA’S REQUEST
Hours ago, the Sultanate of Packilvania announced that the PSC Belem has been successfully recovered with no damage to the ship. The Admiral of the Royal Navy and the Office of the Queen announced that the Alksearian Royal Navy (ARN) has been downgraded back down to Amber Alert where the ARN suggests all civilian vessels to exercise caution crossing the north Concordian ocean. The ARN has also been relegated to essential personal operations until further notice, or an active threat to Alksearian waters is present. The Admiral also reiterates that if tensions boil over with their allies, Alksearia will carefully consider their options before upgrading in their Alert apperatus.
The downgrade comes just moments before the Office of of Foreign Affairs released a statement on relations between Alksearia and Packilvania. The Office announced,
“While relations between Alksearia and Packilvania have not been on good terms recently, Alksearia is actively seeking an opportunity to sit down down with officials in Packilvania and work on relations between the two nations. The Office also actively encourages a representative of Packilvania to contact them if they wish to honor their call for better diplomatic communications. In addition, Alksearia is committed to assisting her allies if the need arises, but at this time, sees no direct threat for them to be involved in.”

BRUTAL ATTACK ON KYRLOTH CITIZENS
A flood of videos from the web and in addition to an additional flood of reports buzzing out of independent reporters in Kyrloth shows an unprovoked police attack on it’s citizens. Footage shows a peaceful protest around one of the statues in the city with police surrounding the entire plaza. Just mere minutes into the peaceful demonstration, shouting is heard before the shootig begins. It is unclear from the videos that ANT has seen what caused the police to react, but sources from on the ground claim a single stone was thrown at an officer’s shield. ANT reached out to the Queen for a statement, and the Office of the Crown responded,
“The Queen is gravely disturbed at the events that have transpired, and is committed to holding the government of Kyrloth responsible for these attacks. The Queen calls on the international community to denounce the events and to have an independent party investigate what transpired.”
ANT tried reaching out to the Kyrloth government with no luck. Inside sources claim they deny it even happening.

SOUTHERN COAST ANNOUNCES NUCLEAR PROGRAM; ALKSEARIA CONDEMNS IT AS “AGGRESSIVE ACTIONS”
URGIA-NOVA - This morning, the Prime Minister of The Federation of Southern Coast announced that they completed their nuclear project that was started in the early 2000s. In the address, the PM stated that this was an ongoing project started by the previous president.
Both the Crown and The Prime Minister had comments to make. The Crown specifically states,
“The recent actions of the Federation of the Southern Coast have shown Alksearia that their intentions are aggressive in nature, and a direct threat to people we consider our friends. THe nuclear capability of Southern Coast adds to an already alarming, and concerning, list of nations who have nuclear capability whose regimes do not have good intentions. Alksearia is committed to the defense of her allies, and we will not take kindly to aggressive actions. Alksearia will be reaching out to those who would be a potential target, and see what we can do to assist.”
The Office of the Prime Minister released the following statement:
“It concerns the Prime Minister that a new nation has added to the list of nuclear capable nations. The Office expresses it’s concern that they hope this does not become a diplomatic tactic to threaten it’s neighbors or to bully it’s way into whatever they want. The Prime Minister will assist the Queen in any capacity that she so wishes.”

TROUBLE IN ELATANA??
URGIA-NOVA - The Office of the Queen received troubling news about a terror attack in Elatana only minutes after they occured. The attack, perpetrated by a radical Akronist group, has injured many and so far has two people in critical condition. Sources close to the Queen have stated that she has started to reach out to the Prime Minister of Tavaris and also reached out to the ambassador to Tavaris. Sources are claiming that the Queen is concerned for the native Alkari that inhabit the North Elatana Autonomous Zone, and that she “supports the move of the governor to impose security checks of traffic.” There has been no official comment from the Queen or from her Office on any of these claims. What we do know is that Dorothea is a staunch supporter of her allies and will do whatever she can to help keep her allies secured. Dorothea is also committed to the protection of any Alkari worldwide.

AXDEL WITHDRAWS FROM PUNTALIA AGREEMENT: ALKSEARIA WITHDRAWS IN SOLIDARITY
URGIA-NOVA - In a shocking turn of events, an announcement made today from Axdel has said they are officially withdrawing from the Puntalis agreement. The announcement cites a failure to decrease tensions in South Arcturia as one of the reasons to pull out of the agreement. In response, Norgsveldet is pledging to pull out of the agreement as well.
An emergency meeting was set up between the Queen, the Prime Minister, and the Foreign Affairs Minister to discuss the recent developments. At the end of the meeting, the three of them released a joint statement. The statement reads:
“With the recent developments relating to the withdrawal of two major nations from the Puntalia agreement, and recognizing multiple faults with the Treaty, Alksearia is hereby announcing her intention to withdraw from the Agreement.”
The announcement also went on to say that the military base being built on the Isle d’Eldras, being named after King Eldras VI, is near completion. Alksearia is expected to start stationing troops in the Eldras Memorial Joint Base by early March at the latest.

NEW SANCTIONS ANNOUNCED FOR RODENIA
URGIA-NOVA - The Office of the Queen and the Office of the Prime Minister have announced new sanctions on the rogue nation of Rodenia. A joint statement announced that all assets of any Rodenian national inside of Alksearia have been frozen, and are no longer able to be accessed. The joint statement also announced that any Alkari citizen must revoke their dual citizenship with Rodenia, or they will not be considered an Alkari citizen. Additionally, Alksearia is now cutting off any and all trade from Alksearia to Rodenia, and giving a full economic embargo of Rodenia. A full travel ban has also been issued, preventing travel into or out of Rodenia to Alksearia.
When we reached out for comment, the Queen stated, “My father was never a fan of the dictatorship down in Rodenia, and quite frankly, he saw that treaty as a disgrace. I am working very closely with the government of Axdel over a new agreement that we find less disgraceful. That agreement will be the catalyst for the backing down of most of these sanctions.”

BREAKING NEWS: Terror Attacks Rock Balistria, Threat Level Increased
URGIA-NOVA - Just shortly after 1:00pm local time, in the cities of Resa, Balistria and Shaisas, Balistria, terrorists set off a series of car bombs and explosives in high population areas. As of the airing of this segment, there are 25 confirmed deaths and hundreds of injuries. No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attacks on either city, but authorities believe it to be local resistance groups. In addition to explosives, fire fights broke out between Officers and the terrorists.
The occupation of Balistria is a hotly contested topic within Alksearia. The Office of the Prime Minister released a statement saying, “Our hearts go out to the families affected by these terrorist actions, and we will seek to bring to justice the perpetrators. We are still committed to holding the Referendum of Balistrian Independence in the coming months.”
The Office of the Monarch released the following statement, “What transpired in both Resa and Shaisas are terrible. The perpetrators of these actions will be swiftly brought to justice. At this time, with limited leads, the entire country of Alksearia and Balistria have had their Security Threat elevated from Threat level 5 to Threat level 3. Federal Agencies and Intelligence services will be stationed throughout each country. If you have any information pertaining to this attack, please contact your local RAID office immediately.”
