Julian made sure everyone was inside and shut the door, locking it in the process. His team would lower their rifles and he’d thank Trimola.
“May I ask who you are and who’s with you?”

“May I ask who you are and who’s with you?”
“My name’s Trimola Eknol, the Lieutenant Colonel of- well what’s left of Tuvaltastan. This is my husband Derrick, my girls Sally, Sable, and Sabrina. This reputable woman is Nimona Poole.”
Julian blinked a bit before answering, “I’m Lieutenant Julian Kranz, Setznan Special Operations Command. This is Chief Petty Officer Mike Prancer and the rest of my team”
“We were supposed to be searching for survivors to exfil outta’ here to safer places but our helo… died… But it looks like we’ve secured some high value targets, one staff officer and one president” said Mike, still aiming his gun at the door, waiting for the zombies to get tired and walk off again.

Trimola lightened up a bit, and said “You have a way outta here? Can you take us with you?”
“I must admit, a way out would be welcome, Lieutenant.” She sighed, stuffing the pistol back into it’s holster. Around her shoulders was a time-worn bomber jacket, sporting a multitude of patches and emblems. “If we can get to the South Aura base, it’ll have heli’s and planes. But…” She paused.
“It’s on the other side of the city.”
(OOC: Bumps the thread towards Kashinko)
Julian tugged on the collar of his plate carrier, “That’s quite the issue, we don’t have any way of contacting the 3rd Fleet which is waiting out off the coast. If we can meet up with Teams 4 and 5 which are somewhere in the city, we might have a way out of this hell hole”
“No guarantees though, we’ve been ordered to evac immediately once we rounded up as many survivors as we can” said Mike, who leaned against a wall with an unlit cigarette in his mouth.
“Do you mind if I smoke, ma’am?” He’d direct his question at either of the two women.
Trimola had a face that expressed both apology and worry. “No, but would you mind directing the smoke away from my kids?”
Mike would nod and enter a separate room to smoke. Julian would sit down on on a stool and take off his helmet.
“Have you done a supply check yet, ma’am?” He’d ask Trimola.
“Not as of yet; my husband just returned from a supply run not too long ago.”
In the mountain complex of Fort Wahington, Republic of Xagrurg (or what remains of it)
Bob Jones wakes up in his bed and gets ready to get back to manage the affairs of the people housed within the complex and the government when suddenly a phone rings while he’s cooking breakfast.
Bob Jones: “Yes, this is Bob Jones, who is this?”
Logistics Manager: “This is Joe Luca of the Logistics division. I have some troubling news for you.”
Bob Jones: “What’s the bad news?”
Joe Luca: “Our food and water stocks are beginning to run low somehow and according to my calculations, we won’t last to the end of the year with our current situation. Also, our hydroponics farms are failing to produce much results which isn’t helping our situation.”
Bob Jones: “Have you tried rationing?”
Joe Luca: “That’d only anger the citizens for an abysmal increase of our longevity of our stocks.”
Bob Jones: “Shit, looks like we’re going to have to send scavenger teams out onto the surface.”
Joe Luca: “I’m afraid so sir.”
Bob Jones: “I’ll figure something out with my military commanders. Goodbye.” (Ends call)
[hr]
Bob Jones then walks over to the base security section of the mountain complex and talks to Commander Hammond.
Bob Jones: “Mr. Hammond?”
Hammond: “Yes sir?”
Bob Jones: “Organize 3 special forces teams to scavenge for food, water, and medicine. We’re running low on supplies. If the teams have the chance, try to make contact with the bunker in Imperium, we’ve lost contact a couple weeks ago. By the way, have we received any intelligence on what the hell happened up there?”
Commander Hammond: “Well sir, according to news broadcasts from the start of the Virus-001 (zombie virus) outbreak, it seems that the deceased are reanimating, extremely durable, and have no self-preservation instinct. Our scientists in the Federal Civil Emergency Service Center in Eidenburgh were researching the genome of the virus but we lost contact with the national guard contingent there 2 weeks ago. We also have the 1st Carrier Fleet off the coast of Emberwood Coast and our safezone in Laota.”
Bob Jones: “Great, our teams will barely have any intelligence on the surface. By the way, give the teams MOPP equipment, 2 APCs and a tank and tell our carrier fleet to send out helicopters to major cities of Emberwood Coast to see what’s going on out there.”
Commander Hammond: “Yes sir, I’ll send out the orders to the men and the fleet.”
Bob Jones: “Good, good.” (leaves the room and walks to the bar)
[hr]
3 teams comprised of 20 men, 2 APCs, and 1 tank are briefed on their orders and the blast door is opened, the teams begin making their way to Imperium.

Eidenburgh Scientifc Research Center Bunker, the day when it lost contact with Fort Wahington
Head Scientist: “How’s progress on developing a vaccine for Virus-001?”
Scientist: “Not good, we haven’t been able to isolate the strand of the genome of the virus that causes the reanimation and aggressiveness.”
Head Scientist: “Damn, well, keep working on it, the world needs it.”
Scientist: “Got it boss.”
(Head Scientist heads to Level -15 of the bunker complex, walks out of the elevator, and walks into the observation room with 2 other scientists where there is a bloody chimpanzee behind the observation glass.)
Head Scientist: “What the bloody hell happened to the poor chimp?”
Scientist #1: “Well sir, we were experimenting the delivery system of our drug that makes the heart pump more adrenaline continuously into the body for hours at a time and it seems that the result ended up with a pissed off and well, creepy chimp.”
Head Scientist: “What was the delivery system you guys used?”
Scientist #2: “We used a strain of Virus-001 sir.”
Head Scientist: “Wait, you’re telling me that chimp there is pissed off, able to run forever, and has Virus-001 in it? WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?!”
(Chimp becomes more pissed off and crashes through the glass and begins ripping Scientist #1 apart and Scientist #2 presses the button for the room to be decontaminated via fire and the head scientist radios for security but then Scientist #1 reanimates and begin mauling the other scientists. Soon after, the security teams discover the newly reanimated scientists who begin running at the guards with near superhuman speed and overrun them. Within the hour, the base is overrun.)

1st Carrier Fleet, off the west coast of Emberwood Coast
The sailors are still in despair over the situation of the world, knowing they’ll never see their families again. Admiral Uro Pipua is sitting at his desk looking at the map of Emberwood Coast to see where he can get fuel for his vessels when suddenly a radioman orders him to the bridge. “Strange, there shouldn’t have been any encrypted radio transmissions,” he says to himself while walking to the bridge.
At the bridge, he hears the sound of a familiar voice of the radio:
Commander Hammond: “Hello, is Admiral Uro Pipua on this channel?”
Admiral Uro Pipua: “Great to hear you Hammond, it’s been a while.”
Commander Hammond: “Nice to hear from you too Uro, President Bob Jones has told me that the carrier fleet is to send out helicopters over the Emberwood Coast to see if there is any survivors or anything of use to you and the Republic of Xagrurg.”
Admiral Uro Pipua: “I’ll get the helicopters gassed up. By the way Hammond, how’s the kids?”
Commander Hammond: “Well, I can’t really waste time here but the kids are doing great along with the wife considering the situation, anyway, Commander Hammond out.” (radio transmission ends and Admiral Pipua radios the airmen to fly their helicopters once more. The airmen, excited for a new mission once more, rush towards their helicopters and begin taking off one by one to Aura of the Emberwood Coast.)

Laota, Republic of Xagrurg
The Federal Civil Emergency Service and Laota National Guard have a quarantine zone established in Laota since the start of the outbreak and they rule with an iron fist, taking a no-nonsense policy towards crime and killing anyone with symptoms of infection. The safezone has rooftop farming going on and has a couple factories building machine parts, clothing, and ammunition but medicine shortages and morale issues are proving to be growing challenges for the safezone along with the lost of the relay station necessary to communicate with ROX Central Command in Fort Wahington. As a result, the safezone is forced to send out scavenging and repair teams.
The zombies had reportedly breached the gates. The Royal Guard had to resort to riding around on their horses, stabbing and shooting with their gun.
Soon, they would have to retreat.
2nd Carrier Fleet, Atlaerskoiy, Atlae Isles
Commander Erwin Pipua of the 2nd Xagrurgian Carrier Fleet is reading maps and attempting to calculate the amount of fuel it would take for the 2nd Carrier Fleet to return to Xagrurg. Meanwhile, a radioman on the aircraft carrier’s bridge picks up radio transmissions coming from Atlantian military forces in Atlaerskoiy. From the sound of the transmissions, the forces are in need for reinforcements. The radioman then calls Erwin Pipua down to the bridge. Erwin Pipua hurries down and asks what’s going on. The radioman says the Atlantain military forces are in need of support.
Erwin Pipua: “Are they requesting support?”
Radioman: “Well I doubt they know we’re here.”
Erwin Pipua: “Radio to their palace and ask them if they need support. Also, alert all the airmen on the carrier for rapid deployment. Get 4 UP-50 helicopters into the air and send them to Atlaerskoiy to see what’s going on.”
(4 UP-50 helicopters take off the deck and proceed to fly to Atlaerskoiy.)
One of the palace maids was running around delivering messages when she heard the radio crackle. The messages were now critically routine, since there wasn’t much better in terms of communication.
But the radio had startled her, and she paused. The radio had been silent, and for good reason. Who was out there to talk to?
Her impulses kicked in. She picked up the handheld transmitter and asked, “Hello?”
She had no formal training in the use of the radio, so she was pretty sure she was supposed to say something else, but what could she do about it?
She quickly added, “this is the Royal Palace.”
The radio operator on the other side responded, asking if they needed support. The maid immediately replied that they did, that they were being overrun.
2nd Carrier Group
Radio Operator to the maid: “Copy that, relaying fire support orders to the rest of the group.”
(Radio Operator then alerts all airmen to mobilize and directs the destroyers and missile cruisers to provide fire support outside the palace. 10 F-45 multi-role fighter jets launch off the deck carrying bombs and lots of autocannon ammunition and fly towards the palace. The 4 helicopters receive their fire support orders and begin firing on the hordes outside the palace.)
The Calvary units in the Royal Guard heard the gunshots coming from the helicopters. Seeing as zombies could not fly helicopters (hopefully) and the fire was targeting the hordes, a yell of “Retreat!” went up so as to not get shot.
(On one of the UP-50 helicopters)
Gunner: “EAT LEAD YOU UNDEAD MOTHERFUCKERS!” (minigun continuously fires)
Pilot: “Hey, I think the cavalry units of the palace guards are pulling back, good thing we have those bombs coming.” (Shells from the destroyers and cruise missiles from the missile cruisers from off the coast slam into the hordes and the F-45 multi-role fighter jets drop their bombs on the zombies. The other 4 UP-50 helicopters soon arrive.)
A sound louder than thunder broke through the sky. The King, bewildered, saw some of the hordes falling.
With all the UP-50 helicopters by the palace, they all begin to mow down the remains of the thousands of zombies from the initial bombardment of the F-45 multi-role fighters who flew back to the carrier to pick up more bombs to drop on the zombies and then flew back up to the city at the hordes.
[hr]
After all the zombies outside the palace are dead, 4 UP-50 helicopters land in the palace grounds and the crew yells at the palace staff to begin evacuating before 6 million infected begin swarming the palace while the other 4 helicopters are going to provide covering fire for the evacuation. The F-45s drop napalm on the roads leading to the palace in an attempt to slow the zombies down.
All of the palace staff and the King boarded the helicopters. The Palace Guard stay out, covering the ‘civilian’ staff until they too were evacuated. They were all very relieved by being rescued, and they looked back wistfully at the Palace.
