Pingjing police have taken down 10 make shift effigies that appear to be glorifying the far left regime of Chen Zheng Sun at Huā Xiàng district of the capital.

The structures were dressed predominately in red to resemble soldiers from the Marxist dictatorship who ruled from 1962 to 2006.

Police have appealed to the public to identify the perpetrators as it is a violation of the anti-Chen laws since 2007.

BURGLAR WHO TRIED TO ESCAPE FROM HIGH RISE FLAT ARRESTED.

A burglar who attempted to make a getaway after robbing a tenant’s flat has been arrested under odd circumstances.

He Dìtǎ broke into Wang Kēmǔ’s flat at the Song Shan flats in Pingjing. He believed that Wang, a local businessman, possessed several gold coins stored in a safe but attempted to flee the building after Wang chased the would be thief who tried to scale himself down from the 10th floor.

He found himself hanging by his own clothing attached to the window frame he climbed out of, sitting precariously atop an air conditioning unit. The fire brigade and the police were called to the scene to pull him out of danger, a process that took 45 minutes. He offered no resistance and was handcuffed as soon as he was brought to safety.

POLICE ON HUNT FOR MANHOLE COVER THIEF.

Pingjing police are appealing to the public to find the person responsible for stealing 2 manhole covers in the capital.

CCTV footage shows the thief stealing a cover at Hunan Street at around 0200 yesterday, loading the cover in a blue coloured Nantong Fenghuang van. A second manhole cover was stolen at around 0430 in Shandong Street, with the thief using the same method.

Police have offered a BL$10,000 reward to find the thief.

MAN BANNED FROM CHAI TAI SOON RESORT FOR REFUSING TO CLEAN UP MESS ON CABLE CAR.

A man has been banned from CTS Ski Resort after he refused to clean up a mess inside a cable car as well as being belligerent towards staff who called him out.

Zhang Dòulì brought his dog to the resort for a 5 night stay. Although the resort is pet friendly, his dog unexpectedly urinated inside the cable due to experiencing anxiety inside the cabin. The incident escalated at the upper station of the mountain when staff called him out for not fulfilling his responsibilities by cleaning up his dog’s mess. Mr Zhang shouted insults at the staff, resulting in security needing to escort him out of the premise.

5 days later, management of the resort informed him that he is not to enter the premise or risk arrest.

MISSING EAR-RING FOUND INSIDE REGURGITATED CAT HAIRBALL.

A video showing an ear-ring found inside a piece of regurgitated cat hairball has become a viral hit.

Pingjing based online user Zheng Kèlái has previous posted an online message appealing to the public to find a rare emerald ear-ring which she claimed to have lost it in the capital.

However by chance, Ms Zheng found her missing ear-ring when her shorthair cat vomited out a hairball with her missing jewellery inside. The video received over 7 million views.

ANTI-CHEN CURFEW ENDS; 500 ARRESTED DURING PERIOD.

The anti-Chen Zheng Sun curfew has been formally lifted following a 1 week period.

Enacted since 2007, the law was intended to undermine the legacy of the former Marxist regime by portraying it as brutal.

A total of 500 people have been arrested for flouting the curfew including inviduals planting effigies bearing the late dictator as well as painting pro-Chen slogans on city halls.

A man has been arrested for hurling a bottle of beer into a cement mixer truck, thereby contaminating the cement mixture in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Cui Jílín, from Sing Ren, admitted to drinking a lot of alcohol prior to committing the offense which took place in Ba Xiang Street.

The truck is owned by SPDR Inc.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of dumping heavy objects from the rooftop of the Dà Dìguó Apartment in Pingjing.

Li Gèsēn has been accused by Pingjing authorities of dumping several heavy objects from the rooftop of the high rise apartment including an office chair. It was the chair that shattered the windshield of a passing car, causing a spiderweb like hole.

Mr Li has denied dumping heavy objects from the rooftop.

DRUGS FOUND IN SOYBEAN CARGO.

Packets of ketamine, fentanyl and untaxed packets of cigarettes were found inside several boxes of soybeans after police intercepted a truck on Route 22 heading to New Hunan.

The shipment was intercepted in the early hours of Sunday morning. Outside of the cigerette packs, the other drugs were packaged in balloons.

Police have confirmed a man in his mid 40’s has been arrested.

2 HORSES DISQUALIFIED FROM RACE OVER STEROID USE.

Two horses have been disqualified from their races at National Equine Race Course in Pingjing due to traces of performance enchancing steroids found in their urine sample.

Peking Banquet and Yubing who finished 5th and 10th place respectively failed their drugs test 1 hour after the race concluded.

Their respective owners, Qian Diāoyú and Han Wángguó have been suspended from using their horses in future races pending an investigation.

The New Xinjiang council has announced that an additional 1,000 anti-collision bollards will be installed at the city centre.

Costing BL$1 million, the additional bollards will be installed in 3 phases.

In addition to the bollards installation, over 5 dozen CCTV cameras will be replaced with upgraded versions.

UZBARI COUNCIL IMPOSES 24 HOUR CURFEW FOLLOWING KASHGAR MOB FLIPPING OVER CARS.

The Uzbari council has announced that a 24 hour curfew will be placed on the city after a mini riot occured in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The riot started after a group of Kashgars flipped a dozen cars owned by Bai Lungese residents. The majority of the cars flipped over are SUV due to higher centre of gravity, allowing them to be flipped over. 2 Bai Lungese and 12 Kashgar people were arrested for their participation of the riots.

Only individuals who are currently in employment are permitted to leave their homes.

BURGLAR ARRESTED IN PORT SUNG FOLLOWING BUNGLED ROBBERY.

A thief has been arrested following an attempted burglary at the house of councillor Feng Bùlǎng despite heavy security at his home.

Chen Yóupǔ attempted to take an heirloom belonging to the veteran councillor in the late hours of yesterday. Mr Feng confronted Chen who fled but his coat was caught on the door knob causing him to trip and fall on the concrete pathway head first.

Mr Feng’s security, who were present at the time of the incident, restrained him from attempting to recover from his slip.

POLICE ARREST ANOTHER PERSON IN CONNECTION WITH DRUGS IN SOYBEAN CARGO.

Police have arrested another man in connection with the drugs found in a truck on Route 22 heading to New Hunan.

Arrested at his flat in Pingjin, the person is identified as 27 year old Wang Bènzhuō. Police believe he is a middleman for the drug suppliers and 47 year old Xiao Bīngtǎ, the driver of the truck.

Xiao has not said anything in his police statement, maintaining total silence.

PINGJING COUNCIL CLEARS OVER 100 PIGEONS FROM FREQUENTLY USED STAIRWAY.

The Pingjing council have successfully removed over 100 pigeons that were congregrating around a frequently used staircase leading to Jiāzhōu Mall.

Several shoppers complained to the council over the infestation of the street birds who were also defecating on the same staircase. The pigeon issue started since last sunday.

The entire staircase was cleaned up within 5 hours. The council is currently exploring methods to prevent a future infestation.

CAR THIEF ARRESTED FOR CARJACK ATTEMPT ON PLAIN CLOTHES COP.

A man has been arrested in Port Sung for attempted to carjack a person whom he thought was an ordinary member of the public.

Heng Mìshā attempted to rob police detective Cheng Lǐlā in the city centre but failed to realise the Cheng was a plain clothes officer and was restrained by Cheng.

The incident was widely reported online, in which users mocked the thief for picking on the wrong person at the wrong time.

UZBARI RESTAURANTS FIRE BOMBED BY KASHGAR YOUTHS.

President Gong Chūrù has condemned the Kashgar youths who fire bombed ten locally owned restaurants in the Uzbari city centre.

At 0200 yesterday morning, the youths threw 2 dozen molotov cocktails into ten restaurants, causing structural damage to the premise.

The fire brigade were sent to the scenes of the blaze, lasting 10 hours. To date, none of the youths were caught.

UNOFFICIAL SURVEY SHOWS MIXED SUPPORT FOR KASHGAR LEADER AMONGST OWN PEOPLE.

An unauthorised survey conducted by independent Kashgar journalists shows a mixed picture for their leader Jumyri Andropev.

BLCTV News has learned that the survey asked over 3,000 individuals on their opinion of their leader. Only 47% of those asked gave him a favourable rating compared to 48% unfavourable. The remaining 5% were unsure.

Andropev did not make a public statement on the unofficial survey but is said to privately condemn it.

Kashgar leader Jumyri Andropev has issued a decree condemning the release of unauthorised surveys.

Whilst the decree is largely symbolic, it shows his disapproval of polling pertaining to his job performance without his approval. One unauthorised survey shows gives him a 47/48 approval rating.

Many online users have openly mocked Andropev for what they described as a pathetic attempt to curb freedom of speech.

PORT TO POLICE CLEARS OUT SOLVENT AND GLUE SNIFFING JUNKIES IN PARK.

Port To police have successfully cleared the park of over a dozen individuals congregating around Yìyuán Sūn Park taking drugs by arresting those partaking in drug taking.

Many residents of the city have lodged multiple complaints to the Port To Council of a number of homeless residents sniffing solvents and glue in the lower east section where it became a popular area for drug addicts to take drugs due to the lack of lighting there.

The council has announced plans to install cctv cameras in that area and additional lighting in the lower east section.
