The LDF this month continued to see growth welcoming in two new members into its ranks; currently the LDF maintains 17 members, nine members in active duty and eight in reserves.
Throughout the month of September there has been a decrease in raider activity allowing the LDF to participate in less defensive and detag operations. Furthermore the LDF has participated in the unsuccessful siege attempts upon The Union of Rightwing Nations, which has been held by a coalition of raider and independent forces.
Regular LDF record keeping will soon move fully offsite, split between an overview on our wiki and more detailed statistics on our new subforum, named the Andrew Du Center for Military Excellence.

The LDF has had an incredible month in both activity and power projection. Currently including 19 members (3 officers, 9 enlisted, 7 reserve), we have grown and gained several new members. In addition to people joining the force, both Paleocacher and East Yourtanad have been promoted from Private to Corporal for their service.
To get into specific operations, the LDF kicked off the month by organizing, coordinating, and executing a multilateral liberation of Warzone Europe which was invaded by a coalition of independent and raider forces. 8 LDF members attended the single update liberation. The LDF published a gameplay report on the operation NationStates • View topic - The League & Concord | The Award Accords.
Soon after, the LDF broke an organization turnout record in Trovons, where 15 LDF members fought across 4 updates to liberate the region from invaders. This operation was particularly notable because invaders once again let their mask slip, showing their true colors as they banned the native Founder from their own region in their attempt to maintain illegitimate control over a region they had no business being in to begin with.
Changing course to offensive action, the LDF once again demonstrated its ability to lead interregional operations with Operation Pacifists of Tyranny, where it led an invasion on Army of Freedom. Being a long term occupation, this operation remains underway but has made great progress, especially thanks to our friends in the New Pacific Order. The report on the initial invasion can be found NationStates • View topic - The League & Concord | The Award Accords.
Last but certainly not least for the month, the LDF participated in the liberations of The New Order Last Days of Europe. The LDF, over two updates, tied its operational turnout record with 15 unique updaters of both active duty, reserve, and civilian origin. The region was liberated twice with 9 updaters attending each liberation due to technical failings on the part of NationStates.

The League’s Defense Forces (LDF) have had another month of incredible activity. Earlier in the month we concluded our longest offensive operation with the refounding of Army of Freedom. We once again thank our allies and other partners for their support in this operation.
A couple of weeks later we assisted in the liberation of China, during which we shattered both our single update and operation records with 13 updaters at the first siege and 20 overall. LDF command took active leadership roles in the liberation, as well.
Most recently we participated in a series of defenses of several regions, including our now-allies in Warzone Sandbox, as well as Japan. For the Warzone Sandbox defense in particular, the LDF activated a deployment of border control nations made in early November to ensure the defense of the region. Following those defenses we briefly deployed to Stargate to return the native delegate to power after they were displaced by invader carelessness.
Lastly, in response to the attempted invasion of Warzone Sandbox, the LDF led a tag raid of Pax Ordexxj alongside our Warzoner allies. Overall, it was a very active month for our regional military and we have enjoyed great success recently.

The Office of the Consulate had a busy month, starting with overseeing the mid-term cycle of Council nominations for our opposite branch of constitutional government.
Beyond this, the Consulate has been extremely dedicated in working alongside the Department of Foreign Affairs and military. The liberation of China saw more experimentation in civilian outreach and Chief Consul / WA Delegate Creeperopolis has continued to do WA work such as approving and advocating proposals relevant to our friends and allies.
Following the attempted invasion of Warzone Sandbox, the Consulate authored and proposed the prohibitions of both Lone Wolves United and The Black Hawks in response to their aggression. Concurrent to this, we assigned a delegation of Leaguer officials to negotiate a new treaty with the Warzone Empire.

This month, the Council has been extremely active. Firstly, on December 7th, Council Nominations opened with one returning council member and another continuing his term. For voting cards this month, there was NationStates | Dispatch | CRL 31 A Bill to amend CRL 24 on December 14th, with 9 out of 9 votes in favor of amending CRL 24. Following this on the day directly after, December 29th, a similar voting card to the Prohibition of the LWU was proposed. The vote once again has a landslide vote, with 9/9 Council Delegates voting in favor. I hope you had a merry holiday and a Happy New Year!

The council hasn’t been active this month, for understandable reasons such as New Years, birthdays, and other events (namely a covid outbreak.) However, as you may know, it was time for all terms to end for the monthly cycle of the Council!
To start things off on January 8th, 2022, with the first people to get fully nominated for this term; Reykanes and Ajakanistan! Shortly after these two made it into quorum, a well known member of The League, New Makasta, swiftly followed suit, making it into quorum.
Another pair was nominated the next day (January 9th, 2022), these two being the very awesome DinoNet and SPode humbleD Minions. The same day, ANOTHER pair was sent into quorum to be Council Delegates. This pair was Karimun Jawa and East Yourtanad! The nominations ended on January 13th, 2022 with East Yourtanad becoming Speaker of the Council

A statement from our new FA director, Tirol!
Good day to the citizens of The League, to our allies, and to all co-defenders,
I’m Tirol, a Leaguer of six years, a long-time legislator and role-player, and more recently an LDF reserve. In light of Spode stepping down as Director of Foreign Affairs, I have been selected to take up the mantle.
Before I proceed with the goals in leading the Department of Foreign Affairs, I’d like to thank my predecessor Spode Humbled Minions for his long period of service to our republic and to defenderdom. Under his directorship the department has proven more and more effective and capable in advocating for the sovereignty of regions and protecting the interests of The League. Indeed much of my role going forward will be maintaining the good work done by multiple predecessors to stay steadfast alongside our allies and embassy regions.
Going forward there are a number of initiatives the department will be pursuing. In recent weeks we’ve seen an unfortunate and provocative increase in invader activities, The League will be ever committed to defending the sovereignty of the citizens of regions, the invasion and dismantlement of regions against the will of the populace is to all extents, unacceptable. To this end, in my tenure as Director of Foreign Affairs, The League will pursue an expansion of our existing network of alliances to include regions which align with our approach and regional interests. Equally, we will pursue both diplomatic and, if ultimately necessary, military avenues against regions that choose to align with raiders in order to defend our partners across NationStates.
Further, I would like to thank the number of independent and non-aligned regions that have aided us in recent military operations. Indeed on behalf of The League as a whole I condemn any and all raider aggression towards independent regions.
On a lighter note, I look forward to working with the large number of excellent partners The League has and pursuing closer relations to achieve a better NationStates. It is through working with allies and partners that The League has become the region it is today, so I thank all of our committed allies and can assure that we will be every bit as committed.
Regards,
The Tirol Region

Throughout February/since our last report, The League’s Defense Forces have continued maintaining and active presence. The most well known activity performed was our attempts in the sieges of The Mystical Council, a region which was unfortunately griefed largely by senseless invaders despite our best efforts. Despite this setback, we have had several other successful initiatives in the past month.
As discussed in an NationStates | Dispatch | UDS-LDF Eliminate Raider Threat Completely, we conducted a bilateral detagging run with The Union of Democratic States Armed Forces which was a successful operation for the both of us. Due to special circumstances there is not a Council report this month, an instance which is unlikely to be repeated.
Establishment of the
Office of Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs
Good day NationStates,
Following the passage of NationStates | Dispatch | CRL 33 A Bill to Amend CRL 15 by the Council of the Republic, the office of Deputy Director was formalised in the legislation of The League. The establishment was firmly supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Consulate, and passed the council with no opposition.
The Consulate and I, as the Director of the department, agreed on two candidates which were selected to hold this new office, both with substantial credentials, Amaan Land and Ikania. Both have served as ambassadors within the Department of Foreign Affairs. Amaan Land is very much a veteran of The League as a loyal citizen since 2016; Ikania is relatively new to our ranks but with his experience and calibre in gameplay and his consistent commitment to The League since his arrival here, I am very confident about the future of the Department of Foreign Affairs.
The introduction of Amaan Land and Ikania presents a host of benefits for the department, allowing us to engage more and more with our allies and treaty partners, and ensuring timely crisis response under any circumstances.
For our allies, this move will mean there is increasing engagement, and on occasion either Amaan Land or Ikania will assume responsibilities that have thus far been held by the director. When this is the case, they speak with the full authority of the department; as representatives of The League, I could ask for no better deputies and I am sure they will exhibit the steadfast dedication to our allies the department has always held sacrosanct. That said, I shan’t be taking a backseat as a result of this move, as Director I will remain to be handling coordination of the department and in the vast majority of cases, our statements and responses to international events.
Onward in solidarity,
The Tirol Region
Director of Foreign Affairs

The League’s Defense Forces had productive months in June and July, seeing a substantial increase in the success of defensive operations since the start of the month. Generally speaking the military has been successful at repelling tag raiders to the extent that barring a small few updates, only Lily has proven effective in leading raiding operations. Furthermore we had considerable roles in several liberations of small scale raids hosted by Lone Wolves United.
Off the battlefield, we did coordinated training in June with the North Pacific Army and Legio Pacifica to improve fundamental skills for chasing. We are optimistic that the next month will see similar success in a variety of operations.

We are pleased to report that Concord has had a fantastic month for growth. As of this writing, Concord maintains 100 resident nations, with 15 endorsements on Delegate Mechanocracy. A number of recruited Concordians have gone on to join The League and Concord’s discord server, and are contributing to regional activity. The regional message board is relatively active, and the last poll held by Mount Washington received fifteen responses (to a rather frivolous question, at that).
Concord has proven to be a great investment of time and resources. Goals for the next month will be continuing this growth, spurring more RMB conversations, coming up with interesting polls, and getting Concordians more active in Discord, as to help facilitate integration with The League, enhancing The League’s unique culture.

A couple of weeks ago, Governor-General St Laurent (Ikania) posted a NationStates | Dispatch | Concord Regional Address noting the development and success of the region which included exceeding 100 nations and 20 Delegate endorsements in size. In the time since we have doubled both of those numbers due to manual recruitment and integration efforts done in sync with The League.
Several natives have been appointed to regional officer positions to help with gameside administration of the region, and many Concordians have taken full part in citizenship and other off-site engagement. Overall, Concord makes up a substantial portion of the broader community and the project’s continued success is paying off.

Authored by Zloveshchiy.
The Culture Department has received new staff members TileMakers and Moorland who have both been active and helpful to the community as a whole. Moorland in particular has started projects such as making a Regional Propaganda Poster Thread for anyone willing to post their own propaganda posters, and provided excellent work to The PAX FRUIT Alliance’s Propaganda efforts, earning him the Green Heart of Spiritus. The N-Day event and our membership in the PAX FRUIT Alliance provided a lot of fun and cultural enrichment to the region, and overall it was a great event for our members.
Throughout the month we ran several polls in both regions leading to high engagement, providing newer gameside members and easy way to involve themselves in the region.
