The June Bloodletter from Unknown make me sick. Let me re-word what they are saying concerning Rougiers and forum deletion in a different, fictitious way and see if it makes any sense to you.
(please note that this example is not meant to reflect any actions or thought patterns of real-life governments. It is merely an example to parallel the Forum Destruction Issue.)
The United States President sends a highly qualified top secret agent overseas to Russia to gain vital government intelligence. This agent does his job so well and is so convincing that before long he is given access to the location of Russian nuclear weapons. Obviously this is a severe oversight in Russian security, but then again national security is not always the single most important thing to all countries, although that may be a difficult concept for the United States to grasp.
The agent also gains the information the President requested and sends it back to him, who in turn congratulates the agent on a job well done. The agent then, before leaving Russia to come back home, detonates one of the Russian nuclear bombs in downtown Moscow. Millions die. The damage is irreparable.
The President knows it was his agent that detonated the bomb. The President knows that detonating nuclear weapons is wrong, devastating, and should not be done. Yet the President decides to welcome the agent back with open arms, calling the mission “a complete success”, and then giving the agent a stern talking to about not blowing up any more cities in the future.
WHAT THE HECK??? Put the scumbag on trial for war crimes!! Sever all ties you have with him!!! Ban him for doing such despicable deeds!! This guy needs to realize that what he did is WRONG. Not “Meh, don’t do it again, ok?” Not even “Hey, you really shouldn’t have done that”. Just wrong. And people who do wrong things should be held accountable by those in power. If those in power fail to hold them accountable, then they are merely enabling the wrong things to be done and gotten away with.
That’s my thoughts I had to get off my chest. I really, sincerely hope the higher-ups in Unknown do the right thing.
