EPPS Ranks

EPPS Rankings are mostly cosmetic in nature. Promotions are primarily based on the amount of time spent in the prior role, which means individuals who do good work may be promoted earlier at the discretion of the Grand Vizier or EPPS Commissioner.

The rank hierarchy is as follows (top being at the top of the hierarchy):
Commissioner
Vizier
Assistant Commissioner
Inspector
Detective
Special Constable
Constable

Explanation of the Ranking System

Since all Viziers are EPPS Commissioners, they get an equivalent rank of “Vizier” by default and cannot be promoted beyond that unless elected as Commissioner or Grand Vizier.

The Assistant Commissioner of the EPPS is the Deputy of the Commissioner.

Individuals climbing the time-based positions may be promoted early at the discretion of the EPPS Commissioner for good work and service.

Individuals who leave a position-based rank shall be given a time-based rank based on their time in EPPS, equivalent or higher than their prior time-based rank before ascending into a position based rank.

Viziers who resign from Viziership may, at the discretion of the EPPS Commissioner, get a time-based rank. If said individual held a time-based rank as a non-Vizier in EPPS prior to becoming a Vizier, their new time-based rank shall be higher or equivalent to their old rank.

Individuals who retire from the EPPS may keep their time-based rank, and may be restored to that rank upon rejoining at the EPPS Commissioner’s discretion.

No time-based rank is considered given unless explicitly posted by the EPPS Commissioner on the forums.
