Since everyone start a new thread for only one post, why shouldn’t I do the same. And since the forum is dead, there is no reason to wail about it, so I quickly turn it into my own funland!
My latest interest is about those logos you can see before a movie. You know, like the MGM lion, or the woman with the torch of Columbia, etc.

My personal favourite is the MGM logo. I like the idea of a lion roaring at the audience. There were a lot of variations, and you can see them collected here:

Actually, two is missing. One, which was used in the 30’s, (and my favourite),
and a short-lived one, from 1968.
Another favourite is the 20th Century Fox logo form the 50’s. Better than todays CGI logo.
Also, recently the Tarantino-fewer has broken out at home. My father recently saw Pulp Fiction, POW, and he became a Tarantino-fan. Interesting, as I always thought that he is an Antonioni-type. Still, he bought some of Tarantino’s other movies. So far I’ve seen Kill Bill 1 and Death Proof. Booth starts with this one:
As I’m not an american, I don’t really get this, but I like the music. So, this preceded every movie after the trailers back in the 70’s?
