Gamlevinland DENIED from the League TWICE

HALØYBY - The Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Crown just announced today that the League of Novaris - an institution devoted to “peace” in Novaris - rejected Gamlevinland’s bid for both observership and for full memberhood. While information relating to the denial is limited, it is rumored that claims were made of “fascism” (whatever that means) and “sapient rights abuses.”

The accusations thrown at the Kingdom are categorically false. All sapient species are treated with dignity: everyone has an opportunity for a job, to make money, to live in a house, and to access food. This is more than most of the colonial powers of the world can say for their own citizens. While reaching out for a comment, Grand Duke Eike explained that the King “places sole blame on the imperialist nature of Tretrid to suffocate those who do not bend to the absolute whim of Tretridian supremacy in Novaris.” When the King was asked if he would be interested in re-applying, the King only had to say, “When the League actually knows the definition of ‘peace’ and stops trying to speak for Gamlevinland without Gamlevinland present, then we shall reconsider.”

When the Grand Duke was asked for clarification, he responded, “We are currently looking at the procedure for reapplication. We believe that in order to keep peace and to prevent further aggression against the Kingdom, Gamelvinland needs a seat at the table where the nations of Novaris meet. If we have to reapply every month, then so be it. Gamlevinland is here to stay.”

Corric Executive flees imprisonment, Claims to be in Gamlevinland
HALØYBY - Earlier today, several executives of Corric companies were arrested on the pretense of using slavery in Borea to further the profits of their companies. Corric officials apprehended most of the executives, however, one executive managed to evade arrest. Claims are being thrown about that the executive has fled to Gamlevinland. Marshall Leif Valstad of Border Security has said that no such record of Adelmart Adohnes entering the nation. The Marshall went on to say:

“We will continue to look into our records to find a one Adelmart Adohnes, but based on preliminary searches we cannot conclude that he has even entered our fair nation. Border Security soldiers will increase their presence at all checkpoints on our borders, and we are now going to institute even harsher screenings on visitors coming into our nation. These changes have been authorized by the King himself. Glory to Gamlevinland and the Austrads.”

For King and Country reached out to the King’s office for a comment, and the comment we received was,

“The King is looking into it, but does not believe this is a matter of his concern. If Border Security is unable to prove that he is in our nation, then it is the concern of the Corric nation for not keeping a closer eye on someone who has several warrants out. If it is found that he is in fact in our fair nation, the King will mobilize the Imperial Intelligence Agency and the King’s Guard to do secure the individual”

The comment later went on to say that the increase in Border Security protocol is temporary and should be lifted within the week.

Fugative Executive Identified, Not Located

HALØYBY - Only after one day of heightened security within Gamlevinland, the fugitive executive has been identified to have entered the nation on a chartered flight that was not properly registered. Marshall Leif Valstad said this is “embarrassing” and “improvements will be made for flights entering and leaving our Kingdom.” With the announcement that the fugitive is within the borders of Gamlevinalnd, Martial Law has been decreed all across the Kingdom. In a statement, the King said,

“We are doing the best that we can to find this individual. It is not the fault of this fair Kingdom that the Corric government let a fugitive get away. If they were better at aprehending people, this would not be happening. Until further notice, there is a full lockdown of any and all means of exiting the Kingdom. No one is allowed in or out until the fugitive is located. The King’s Guard has been mobalized in an effort to find this individual. Checkpoints are being installed along all major highways to search every vehicle completely without any compromise. The IIA [Imperial Intelligence Agency] is now compiling any possible whereabouts of this fugitive. He should be caught within the next 24-36 hours, assuming nothing dramatic happens.”

When asked when the lockdown and Martial Law would be lifted, the King responded with, “When I feel it is safe to.”

The jury is still out on whether the fugitive will be extradited back to the Corric kingdom, or if he will face trial in Gamlevinland for violations of Immigration Laws and for posing a threat to the National Security of the nation. The King has declined to comment at this time what would happen.

Fugative arrested, Awaiting Deprotation

HALØYBY - In a shocking turn of events, the fugitive - Adelmart Adohnes - has been apprehended after he tried to enter a grocery store to buy “traveling supplies” and even offered to buy out the shop under a false name. The fool was quickly arrested by the King’s Guard who showed up to the store after the manager called them. He was taken to a local military base and then flown back to the capital. It is unknown where he is being kept.

FGC reached out to the King for a comment, and we were told the King is “busy speaking with the Corric government to give a statement.” At this time, the national emergency is still in effect, but rumor has it that some of the checkpoints have been downgraded or even removed. Airports are still under maximum security protocols however.
