At about 9:30, this morning, I received in my hands, the latest and greatest operating system: Apple’s Mac OS X 10.5 “Leopard.” And I’m a happy camper.

This is cause for a celebration. When I go to create some sub-forums, tonight, I’m going to also create a Mac User Group. Yep. lol and if anyone should want a PC/Windows User Group, I suppose I can make one of those, too, while I’m at it. :smiley:

(But you’re going to have to tell me you want one, because that’s the only way you’re getting one!)

Congrats! I’m a Mac.Man myself, and can’t wait to start using the new one!

Might as well start a Linux one as well. Somebody around here might enjoy talking about programming and hacking, I’m sure.

It’s more ergonomic than the standard QWERTY or AZERTY or whatever other keyboads. And the original for some reason arranged the numbers as 7531902468, for some odd reason.

The arrangment of the numbers (And other letters for that matter), is designed based on analysis of the most used numbers and letters so that the least amount of movement is required to type most words.

I don’t like the transparent menubar of Leopard too much. Regardless, there are many many improvements.

I’m inclined to say “Yes,” my dear, but I’ll not be biased in my response and consider a week’s evaluation before providing a “Yes” or “No.” But it’s never bad timing to switch to a Mac. :wink:

I agree; my wallet doesn’t. :lol: I missed out on the '08 version of iWork by a couple of weeks, too.

Tell me about it. I bought iLife '08, iWork '08 and Mac OS X 10.5 (all Family Packs) all at the same time; talk about a dent in the bank account… Oh well. Maybe I’ll recover soon enough to get some hardware upgrades/peripherals by the time “Black Friday” rolls around.

((Sigh)) How many times do I have to tell you? It’s NOT going to work on your Quadra – and I doubt you even have one, in the first place! But even if you did, it still wouldn’t work on it…
