There was some confusion in the Vizier chat about the HOG/Delegate split, so I’d like to make it clear that the only thing we’re doing here is taking away all the direct security powers of the current Chief Executive and entrusting them to the leader of the Security branch, which is the Viziers, EPPS, and Citizenship Officials. We are not taking away any of the governing powers of the current Chief Executive role, which is currently the Delegate, if they are not direct security powers.
I’d also like to note, because this was another source of confusion, that the reason that the in-game Delegacy is so important is that it’s the only “Executive” RO, which is the game’s way of referring to the person who can appoint or dismiss ROs in game. This power has been abused by infiltrator/couper delegates to remove Vizier ROs, but that would be impossible for the Chief Executive to do going forward. If directly dismissing/appointing ROs in-game is something you find integral to the Executive branch, then I’m sorry but there’s no way to allow them to do that without giving them the Delegacy because we are a feeder. However, that is why we have the clause about how the Delegate is allowed to allocate RO slots.
