Gray Faction Protests Erupt In Villerona
Violence erupted in downtown Villerona today as Gray Faction demonstrators took to the streets in protest of the INCP and it’s implementation of state planned socialism. The protest moved through the city and stopped at the Presidential Manor to demand a return to capitalism, and the cancellation of the two year plan.

This comes after record setting growth of both the Ilisian economy, GDP, Dir Value, and personal income. The demonstrators claimed that the two year plan was going to eradicate personal freedoms by removing the corporate greed inherent to their capitalist ideology. Police and SPG set up a line of defense surrounding the Presidential Manor, in the event of violence. In response a man by the name of Jason Hurstall led an attempt to rush SPGs to get onto the President’s garden. SPG fired stun guns and rubber bullets at the crowd, who then dispersed. Medical assistance was provided to the four people wounded in the assault.

Jason Hurstall was arrested and is set for trial of T.2 Disruption of the peace, and unlawful demonstration. His court date is set for May 15th and he is facing a 6% yearly income fine, paid over 7 months, and up to one month in a T.3 rehabilitation and remission center.

President Cannon was asked to speak regarding the protest. He told INN reporters that the display was “both welcome and warranted, given their position and belief, until they charged at the SPG”, and said that protests ending in violence will not be tolerated.

Goodnight patriots.

INCP Reveals Plans to Withdraw From W.A.
Since the INCP founding in 2019 they have had tense relations with the World Assembly. President Nick Cannon has repeatedly condemned their “over bearing and detrimental legislature” during his time in office. Despite the INCP’s relationship with the World Assembly the Royal Courts have denied talks of withdraw from the start, however that may be about to change.
The GCP and INCP have both agreed that they hold significant concerns that the W.A. is actively working against the Communist movement, and specifically the goals of the Ilisian Communist Parties. As such the Royal Courts convened over the weekend to discuss the matter of resignation from the World Assembly, and in a 45-16 vote the Royal Courts agreed to resign and fully withdraw from the W.A. beginning today.

President Nick Cannon told INN that this does not mean the repeal of civil rights protections authored by the W.A. “This will only serve to allow Ilesland to act in the interests of our own people and country, without operating around restrictions needed to keep lesser nations in line.”

In Spite of Gray Faction Collapse Conservative Ilisians form New Party

After the stunning results of the Braos Riots the Gray Faction has been all but dismantled after the several indictments and the INCP marking them a terrorist organization. As a result conservatives across the nation came together to form the Conservatives of Ilesland, a new conservative faction based around the destruction of current President Nick Cannon and the INCP’s economic growth plan. Having a stern opposition to all socialist and communist ideologies and policies implemented by our current government, the Conservative party plans to dismantle the state owned and co-op infrastructure provided under the INCP in favor of the previous regimes method of private funded companies and corporations. As it stands they are permitted to run in the 2021 election, provided they operate under adherence to the Neo-Constitution and within the confines of the law.

President Cannon met with current Party Head, Olivia Lynne, at the House of the Ministry of Agriculture to officiate their campaign in the upcoming election.

Both parties agree that this will be a landmark election in Ilesland, either cementing the power and strength of the INCP or resuming the role of capitalistic leaders in our society. As it stands the INCP holds the majority vote, with only 12% of voters supporting the conservative party. This is expected to change at least according to scholar and professor of political science at Hurstall Provincial University, who told reporters at INN this:

“It is often seen in our election cycle, since it’s birth in 1975, that the newer party will take hold towards the beginning of the campaign season. You saw it with the Revolutionaries when Snow was elected, and again with the Party Nationals when Peterson was elected. Then the Workers Party was founded and held only 5% support until around August when they began sweeping the nation. By October almost 70% voted in support of Janssen and the Workers. Even the INCP started out as a fringe movement all the way back when Turner was president. Only nine years later President Cannon has lead one of the biggest social movements in this nation’s history, and is no doubt the most popular president, with the possible exception of Turner. So while the Conservatives have had a rough run from the start, it is not fair to dismiss them outright when time and time again you see underdog parties taking victories in our elections.”

INN has not been able to be in contact with the president or Head of the Conservative Party for comments.

Ilesland National News Official Candidate Interview #1
In preparation for the upcoming Election Months beginning in August INN has held an interview with the Party Heads of both the INCP and new Conservative Party. This story will continue to evolve as more interviews are held, so stay tuned to INN for the best in news and information.

We first met with the minority Conservative Party Head Olivia Lynne at the House of the Ministry of Agriculture in rural Villerona to discuss her views on current events and issues. We asked her six questions, these are her responses:

  1. What do you have to say about PDL Cannon’s recent restriction on the live play “The War Cow” for being Capitalist Propaganda?

“Freedom of speech and freedom of arts should be decided by the people. If they do not like a play, they will not attend it.”

  1. What are your thoughts on the recent State Press Act?

“This act need to be removed, or rewritten to allow for truth in reporting”

  1. With the PDL’s alliance with communist Kurkistan being our main imports of both oil and stone, how do you plan to maintain relations after dismantling the Socialist Union?

“By creating negotiations that would benefit both sides to ensure that people have all the resources they need to live a good life.”

  1. Do you support the Five Rights bill passed by the INCP?

“No”

4b. Do you wish to elaborate on why?

“No”

  1. If you were to win how would you intend to protect the people against the injustices inherent in corporations and capitalist countries?

“You do have to have regulations and there would be regulations to protect the people and environment”

  1. The Royal Courts have stated in recent cases against Gray Faction members arrested for the protest in Braos that there are no legal protections for speech, protest, or political belief. During your presidency would you intend to construct a set of protections for these classes?

“Corrupt governments need to be kept in check by the people who elected them. Riots that affected the citizens should be dealt with harshly, however I do intend to protect both speech and peaceful protest”

As some may be aware the President as well as a handful of Ministers and Sub-Ministers have been off the radar for the past few weeks. INN has been unable to get in contact with INCP members during this time, creating a bit of uncertainty. However, when we reached out to the INCP for this interview we were given a time and place to conduct a meeting with the President. During that he assured us that the brief radio silence from him and select cabinet members was an intentional part of a small scale restructuring plan. While this plan is still currently underway for reasons of National Security we cannot discuss details of the Plan, nor disclose the location we met the President at, but will be sure to inform the public as soon as possible.

We asked PDL Cannon six questions similar to those given to Mrs. Lynne. These are the responses:

  1. With the recent decision to restrict capitalist media how do you feel this could affect public relations in the coming Election Months?

“Well quite simply I don’t feel this will have any great affects on those who are paying attention to the resounding growth and power of our new government. Conservative figureheads may try to call it oppressive but the show that sparked all of this, War Cow it’s called, was a dramatically vile misrepresentation of our government and our economy. I do not see a problem with foreign entertainment, even that produced by countries still operating under Capitalism, I only take issue with shows that intend to misinform or misguide our population.”

  1. Many members of the Conservative Party have accused the INCP of being an authoritarian state, claiming the move to further ‘regulate media and entertainment’ is a breach of civil rights. Do you feel as though these actions are in violation of our civil rights?"

The Conservative Party is nothing more than a set of reactionaries who don’t want to accept that my system is out preforming them in all things. They will use any scare tactic or buzzword filled speech to mislead the impressionable and the ultra wealthy who are angered by their loss of power. Not only did I sign the Constitution that is designed to prevent tyranny, I continue to create similar acts to protect our rights. Meanwhile they are trying to remove those same bills. Just this week I was told Mrs. Lynne has been telling anyone who will listen that I plan to take their guns! Not only is this ridiculous because firearms are protected under the Courts, but we are forming our system after the act of Marx who very clearly states ‘Under no pretext should arms and ammunition be surrendered; any attempts to disarm the people must be stopped, by force if necessary’. Any critique rallied against us by those corrupt people are either a projection of their own ideologies or a complete fairytale."

  1. The Royal Courts have stated in recent cases against Gray Faction members arrested for the protest in Braos that there are no legal protections for speech, protest, or political belief. During your presidency would you intend to construct a set of protections for these classes?

“Freedom of speech is one of the most important things a collective can have. The Gray Faction were arrested for attempting to overthrows a Council and remove themselves from the Union. I do plan on making speech, protest, and politics a protected class in the coming weeks, and will continue to make strides to a freer and more equal Ilesland for all involved.”

4.With our presence in various Communist alliances do you fear that these countries may interfere to prevent Conservatives from taking a victory?"

Absolutely not. The Conservative will lose because their plan is to destroy the very works that made us stronger, to take away the unity in the workplace, and to cement our nation as a safehouse for the ultra-rich who seek to abuse our people. None of our allies will interfere, and I will personally make sure of that."

  1. After the Braos Conflict how do you plan to continue to manage and prevent extremism in Ilesland?

“We have a very capable and robust police force, who implement social policy and create safe communities to help maintain the peace, and a strong Homeland Defense ready to stand up to any potential terror groups trying to tear us apart.”

Economic Value Drops 8 Points, Co-Op found to violate MinCom regulations, Rolling Blackouts Hit Southern Province, Olivia Lynne Speaks Out:
INN News From Across The Nation
Economic Value Drops 8 Points- The IEV dropped 8 points last week after Royal Courts drew up another reform to the INCP’s Two Year Plan. The IEV was standing at an 87.89 on the 23rd of June when Commerce Ministries closed, then dropped the next morning to an 80.3. A speaker for the Finance Division of MinCom told INN not to worry, as the IEV was projected to return within the coming weeks and continue its gradual accent up the scales.

Co-Op Found In Violation of MinCom Regualtions- The Ministry of Commerce arrested the founder of now defunct cooperative, Kevin Hagarty, on June 21st for violating the Cooperative Employment Regulations enforced by the INCP. He was found guilty of embezzlement of Co-Op funds and falsification of income in Hurstall Court, and sentenced by a jury to a T.1 Reformation Center, as well as being responsible for the return of illegitimate funds to the government, to be redistributed to members of the Co-Op. Ministry of Labour has assured the former members that they will be placed in adequate institutions and will be repayed for lost income. An anonymous member of the former Co-Op told INN that he was “happy with the results of the trial” and that “The Labour Ministry has been a great help throughout.”

Rolling Blackouts Hit Southern Provinces- The southern provinces experienced rolling blackouts lasting upwards of three hours. These were found to be caused by an attack on the centralized power grid by an outside force. The Royal Military Division of Foreign Affairs said they would investigate the actions and hold the nation responsible accountable. Chief Commander and Subminister of Foreign Affairs told INN they would “ring justice to the people, hopefully in a peaceful and diplomatic fashion.” The Royal Military did say that if peace talks cannot be met with the offending nation, it could result in harsh actions.

**Olivia Lynne Speaks Out- Conservative Party, and threat to the INCP, Olivia Lynn held a rally last week where she accused the President of violating the recent Integrity in Elections act passed by the courts. Mrs. Lynn claimed that the president accused her of spreading panic by claiming the INCP intended to disarm the people. “I never publicly, nor privately accused President Cannon of taking our guns.” The royal courts told Mrs. Lynn they would look into her claims. Her rally sparked protest against PDL Cannon over the violation, though these were entirely peaceful. She told the audience to be aware of the INCPs intentions to silence the anti communist ideas that are held by her party.
As it stands PDL Cannon has not spoken out on any of the claims or accusations, and the Royal Courts are unable to report on the investigation.

Weapons Testing Increased, Military Strengthening, and Further Monitoring of I.C.M. Extremism
INN News From Across the Nation

Weapons Testing Increased- The Ilisian Royal Military has increased their active Weapons Testing Programs this past week as a show of strength against the Capitalist enemy nations. These tests are projected to continue, and become more regular, to ensure that Ilesland is prepared against any possible threats to our freedoms and our country. The Chief Commander told INN that these tests were simply cautionary measures being taken to ensure the safety of our people. While Ilesland is not currently at war with any foreign nations, many Capitalist countries continue their assaults against Communist governments, and continue to threaten the USRI.

Military Strengthening- The Ilisian Royal Military has seen yet another significant raise in funding as the need for the further development of our Chemical Warhead Division and Nuclear Warhead Divisions expand to quell the ever growing threats of war. While Ilesland hasn’t fought a foreign war since the Great Divide of 1755, many experts and military personnel alike say that it is inevitable. The continued threat of invasion and subversion from the Capitalist enemy grows stronger each day. With the USRI having been forced to distance themselves from the W.A. it becomes more and more necessary to maintain a strong and advanced military. The Chief Commander told INN that the Royal Military’s Department of External Affairs is striking deals with foreign allies for weapons trade, and MinComm has begun the construction of 100 military weapon manufacturing sites across Ilesland. The Head of MinComm says this will provide both a significant boost to our military might, but also to the strength and prosperity of our economy.

Further Monitoring of I.C.M. Extremism- In an effort to continue to prevent the rise of I.C.M. extremism the government is passing a law banning all symbolism and practices tied to the I.C.M. This includes banning the Civil Military flag from being printed, manufactured, or obtained by any entity or individual. Being caught displaying Civil Military sympathy is considered an act of High Treason punishable by death. The speaker of the Courts stated in a conference this past week that “Under no pretense should any member of the United Socialist Republic of Ilesland, nor any territories or allies, be seen waving the flag of the treasonous Civil Military. To do so is an attack on our commune, on our wonderful people, and on our freedoms. It cannot stand that we fly a flag of genocide and violence while our sole purpose is peace and equality. This is why we must do everything as a community to find these evils, and stomp them out before they poison our nation. For twenty seven years our land was stained with the blood of our people at the hands of the Civil Military. That is why this treason cannot stand to continue in a United Ilesland.”
The INCP and Royal Court have advised that if you know anyone who may be an ICM Sympathizer to report theme immediately to the police.

ROYAL COURT INVESTIGATION AGAINST INCP
Presidential candidate, and conservative party Head, Olivia Lynn prompted an investigation into current PDL Cannon and the INCP after accusing him and his party of violating their Integrity in Elections act. The Royal Courts finished that investigation today, and found that the INCP did not commit the violation.

ATTACK IN WILMINGTON LEADS TO ARRESTS
After a mass shooting in Wilmington, South Song resulted in the deaths of eight and the injuring of forty. Wilmington Police apprehended the suspect at Fairvalley Theatre, where the attack took place. The lone gunman, Nathan Shaw, surrendered to the police in a ‘peaceful’ exchange. Neither Shaw, nor any officers were hurt during the apprehension. Shaw faces eight counts of First Degree Murder, illegal possession of a weapon, and fourty counts of attempted murder. S.Song Lord’s Court set the sentencing at twelve years of imprisonment, T.5 Reformation Center, and a fine 98% that of the total net income after release. Shaw has not made a plea, though it is suspected the case will not go to trial.

The Police offered their deepest sympathies to the victims, and the Council of Labour has permitted the families involved paid grief time up to twelve months.

Economy Stronger Than Ever, Relations Tensen with Listonia, Conservatives Gain Seats

Economy Stronger Than Ever- The Ilisian Economic Value has been on a consistent rise since the INCP took office. And that rise has resulted in the strongest economy since the Reunification. Employment has reached an all time high, allowing the Socialist Movement to continue to raise the national living standard. As time goes forward the INCP has promised to continue to create better, safer, and easier jobs throughout the economic growth. This means that thanks to the INCP we will continue to see higher pay, safer conditions, and less hours for all workers.

Relations Tensen with Listonia-Our largest neighbour to the South, Listonia, has continued to support and ally with the South Hills, and as a result worsened situations at the border. The Chief Commander of The Royal Military told INN that the Armed Forces have moved into the border to ensure that no members of Listonia are capable of illegal entry or dissemination of false information or capitalist propaganda. As it stands there have been no moves from the Listonian Government to attack Ilesland or the Socialist Movement, but with our continued progress and growth many think it is only a matter of time until an attack occurs.

Conservatives Gain Seats-The Conservative Party has been granted official seats in both the Ministries and Royal Courts, allowing for the opposition party to weigh in on political issues in a fair and safe manner. Head of the Party, Olivia Lynne, made an appearance this past week to give a speech in Marlesburn where she told attendees she intends to continue to cooperate with the INCP in the event of her victory. She also said she would try to work with current major ally Kurikia and maintain diplomacy with foreign Communist Nations, provided they remain neutral to Ilesland’s government operations. PDL Cannon told INN that this was a “step in the right direction” and that he approves of the Conservatives new, less aggressive approach.

President Cannon Gives Virtual Speech
President, Dear Leader, Nick Cannon gave a virtual speech today that was streamed live from the INCP website. The speech detailed the rapid success of his party in accomplishing the goals of the Two Year Plan. He also explained his party’s absence from many in person events, stating that due to the nature of his party it is safest to remain in undisclosed locations to prevent foreign interference with political officials, claiming our proximity to South Hills ally, Listonia, poses a significant threat to the Party Government and the High Order. The president assured everyone he was both safe and healthy, and continued to perform his duties as President, although virtually.

Nathan Shaw Pleads Guilty
Lone gunman and terrorist, Nathan Shaw, has plead guilty to all counts in South Song’s Lord’s Court and has been sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment, and a T.5 Reformation Center. He will also have 98% of his net yearly income deducted for eight years after release. Shaw has also been removed from all Communal Aid Programs, including housing and food. P.D.L. Cannon told INN “In the effort of protecting the Commune and the Collective body within it, people like Nathan Shaw cannot be allowed to reside alongside us. The act of taking several lives, and leaving many in critical condition, is antithetical to all of the things our Ministries hope to achieve. We seek to raise the living standard for all, and cannot afford to waste our valuable labour and resources on things like him.”
Some have claimed that the government making the decision to remove Shaw from all service programs is a violation of his human rights, and have been collecting a case against the INCP requesting that Shaw be allowed back into the programs after serving his sentence. “There’s really no reason for it.” says Thomas Lynn, the activist behind the case “He did something horrible, and he must serve his time and pay the price for it. But once you’ve served that time you should be a free man. We can’t shackle ex-convicts with debts and threats of starvation after they’ve been released, otherwise we’re no better than our enemies who are doing the same. Nathan is entitled to his rights just like any other man.”

Chief Commander Richard Wolf discharged by Council.
-BREAKING NEWS-
The Chief Commander of the Royal Military was discharged by the council after harsh reactions at the borders. Wolf had set up defense lines, including trenches, along the majority of our Southwestern border. These actions were hasty and driven mainly by his disdain for The South Hills, a major player in the capitalist markets. Due to his hasty and ill thought actions he caused unnecessary tensions with an otherwise adequate ally Listonia. Commander Wolf falsely claimed that they were operating for the capitalist enemy, and a result set up unnecessary defenses and hostile forces at our Listonian Border. As a result he has been dishonorably discharged and faces trial for T.3 military instigation. The newly appointed Chief Commander Franklyn Lugo has told INN he intends to attempt to mend situations with Listonia by way of trade agreements and alliances. “Regardless of their stance with South Hills it is important that socialist and communist nations stick together, especially when in such close proximity.”

New Chief Commander Franklyn Lugo Promises Better Border Relations
The situation at the Southwest Border has been tense ever since the INCP took power, mainly due to INCP installed Commander Wolf. This pattern has sourd relations with the nations surrounding our border, leading to increased threats of war. New Chief Commander Lugo has promised he will begin to repair our relations both with Listonia and the Dverias. The first step taken in this effort has been the removal of troops from the border, replacing the constant military presence with periodic border patrol. He also intends to work with the Ministry of Travel to begin allowing people to travel between Listonia and The USRI. This would be a step in the right direction according to the Royal Military in preventing possible allies from conspiring against the USRI.

GCP, IEP Promise Return
The Green Communist Party and Ilesland Environmental Party have both promised a return in the 2022 election. The GCP claims they intend to run against the INCP and Conservatives in the next election. The Ilesland Environmental Party was founded during the Revolution, though never got to officially run for office. This is likely going to change in the coming years. Speaker for the IEP, George Greene, has been working with the House of Ministries and INCP to reserve seats in the houses alongside INCP and Conservative party members. The IEP is a social democratic party who believe in limited free market exchange with government benefits provided to the impoverished. The IEP focuses on the reduction of carbon emission and a net 0 carbon footprint nationwide. PDL Cannon has not addressed the possibility of IEP gaining seats in the Ministries or Courts, but speakers for the party have said talks have been receptive and they are confident in their ability to join the ranks of government.

INCP Agrees to Allow Shaw into C.A.P.
After petitions began to make the rounds demanding the INCP allow Nathan Shaw, lone gunman in the recent Wilmington Attack, remain on the Communal Aid Program the INCP have agreed to abide by the will of the protestors.
Nathan Shaw faces several punishments, but the controversial reaction was the INCPs decision to remove Shaw from the Communal Aid Programs. The Communal Aid Programs, or CAP for short, are a system of government programs designed to secure the rights to Food, Shelter, and Heat among other things. The protestors argued it was against the Five Rights to deny anyone, regardless of criminal history, access to their rights as Ilisians. The Conservative Party also spoke out in favour of Shaw and told the INCP that if they want to stand by their Five Rights it should apply to everyone.
The INCP agreed and voted to disallow the removal of the Five Rights as a punishment, guaranteeing Shaw and everyone else access to their Rights.

Sanctions by MBE and South Hills Result in Bread Lines, Starvation
The capitalist nations who once made deals with Ilesland have since withdrawn and as such caused a ripple effect resulting in limited food supply. The Ministry of Agriculture has promised they will continue to work to solve the issue, but as hundreds line up at stores, only to find empty shelves, food prices are on the rise. Emergency response has been taken by the Federal Ministry of Commerce, who have placed a nationwide ration on all food products until further notice. This has led to many members growing concerned about the future of the USRI.
“You know, it’s hard. We voted for and have supported the INCP since it was founded but we can’t even keep food on the table. I just wish that more could be done.” one concerned citizen told INN.

(People waiting to get into a market in South Song)

While the Communist Party government has been doing everything in their power to help soften the blow of the impending food crisis, many conservative party members and supporters have pointed to these events as the failure of communism.
Party Head Olivia Lynne has yet to speak on the issue.

USRI Empire Expands
The IAF have been in contact with communist nation of Cappedore with the intent to begin importing Cappedorian crops to close the gap on the food crisis. This trade deal is expected to supply Ilesland with enough food to adequately feed every citizen. The Ministry of Commerce told INN it is likely that rations will remain in effect even after the trade deal is finalized, but there will be no concern that each member of the commune will be fed.

Power Outages. Are They Here to Stay?
More southern power shortages have been reported the past week, many in the lower East have been without lights or AC. The strain on the power grid is linked to the increase of AC usage in the south, as Ilesland experiences the hottest weather in recorded history. The Ministry of Infrastructure has said they intend to begin substantial upgrades to the National Grid, and encourage Council governments to do the same.

Party Merger of INCP and GCP Results in Ilesland Communist Party
The speaker for the INCP announced that they will be merging the two communist parties together into a general Communist Party.

“The goals and aspirations of our two parties directly align with each-other, and the GCP hinges on the success of the INCP, so it is only natural that we make the collective decision to unite our parties as one.”

This will be an opportunity for members of the GCP to gain representation under the new name, as they were lacking seats in the Houses. This will also provide more adequate power for the Communist Party by allowing the INCP to help further the long-term goals that were held by Communist members of Ilesland.

Food Crisis Remains A Threat, Says Min.Ag
There has been a nationwide shortage of food products like grain, vegetables, and certain meats that have sparked concern with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture. The Ministry has warned Ilesland of the possibility of a food crisis becoming prominent within the coming weeks. The Ministry of Commerce enacted just last week a rationing program, but the growing shortage may mean tighter restrictions. The Federal Ministry of Commerce has advised that individual Councils begin setting up protections as well, to better help shield the damage that could be caused by a lack of food. As it stands the Emergency Order has not been changed and the President has not made a comment.

New Tech Made By CPI Proved Effective In AI
The Communist Party of Ilesland, and the Federal Department of Research and Technology have made significant breakthroughs in the development of Artificial Intelligence, creating a machine capable of logical thought and movement. The DRT told INN that this machine could revolutionise the working world, allowing businesses to remain open and running for 24 hours without the need for human supervision. The tech has entered a trail stage and has been implemented in various locations throughout the capital. The DRT claims the end goal is to create a machine that can function and appear as human as possible, and in turn be integrated into society to perform various tasks that humans may not be interested in doing.

ICP Cracks Down on Ration Program
The Ilisian Communist Party and the Ministry of Commerce have cracked down on rations after over-purchasing was observed in various cities. The Ministry of Commerce has begun the rollout of Purchase Cards, which must be shown at any stores where a person intends to buy a non-luxury item. This is to ensure that there is equal distribution of necessities among all members of the Commune. The cards are only used to track the purchase of necessities, and do not affect a person’s ability to purchase any luxury goods. The Ministry of Commerce has told us that this is a perfect first step in not only stopping the current food crisis, but also in preventing any further crisis from arising.

Ilesland Grows Safer, Despite Tensions
Despite the constant attempts to disprove and slander the successes of Communism, Ilesland has prevailed and is stronger and safer than ever. In times where the outside world has become a place of violence, death, danger, hate, and inequality Ilesland has become the safest nation for her people. Throughout the assaults of capitalist media, who have spread lies and false propaganda across the world, Island has withstood, and will continue to do so. This is the time for unity and strength, and as President, Dear Leader, Cannon has said “There is strength in unity”.

Agriculture Ministry Offers Solution to Food Crisis
The Ministry of Agriculture has finalised a solution to the impending crisis. Speaker and Party Adviser to the ICP produced the solution to cut funding to the Department of Research and Technology in favor of further production of agricultural products. The Ministry of Agriculture also approved the demolition of unoccupied and unnecessary buildings for the construction of neighborhood community gardens. This will remove the strain of production from the Ministry while also providing a local grown alternative and a heightened sense of community. Commerce and Agricultural Ministries have both also endorsed the idea of personal gardens for those members who may have extra space in their yards. Provided the community can continue to work together we will begin a more prosperous, and more self sufficient Ilesland.

COYBIAF Qualification Round Won
The Ilesland Communist Football League swept a victory from Sereena last week with a 2-1 score. Standing at the top of Class B Ilesland looks to be making it to the official tournament. The leader of the ICFL told INN that the win was an exciting and well-invited light in what has otherwise been a dark few weeks here at home. President Cannon and Conservative Party Head Lynne both gave their congratulations to the team and wished them luck in future games.

Garden Project Underway
The Ministry of Infrastructure has taken the first steps in the Garden Project, starting in the heaviest hit provinces. This project will allow members of individual communities to produce locally grown food and provide an eco-friendly and self-sufficient community. It will also help foster stronger bonds and relationships with the people in these communities. The Garden Project will begin in hard-hit regions and evolve over the course of the next year to encompass all communities in Ilesland.

President, Dear Leader, stands by Ref.3 After Wilmington Shooting
P.D.L. Cannon has stood by Constitutional Reformation 3, the right to arms and ammunition, after some members called it into question in the wake of the Wilmington Shooting. Anti-gun activists have been protesting the removal of Ref.3 claiming that a firearm should not be the right of a common citizen, but rather only the police and Military. President, Dear Leader, Cannon rejected the idea and said he would not allow the High Court remove the reformation.
“We are a society that must function under the principles of democracy, equality, and freedom. I made it clear as day that we would model the basis of our new economy off the works of Marx and other related people, and it is clear in that foundation that there must be a right to arms. It is tragic what happened in Wilmington, but that does not mean that people should revoke themselves of their rights to guns. We made this country to fight fascisim and tyranny, and if that fight requires the rights to arms, then that right will be honoured in the highest standards.”

Garden Project Proves Success in Trial Run
The Ministry of Infrastructure teamed with MinAg to provide communities that were considered high risk per the impending food crisis to build gardens on unused plots of land. The rollout of community gardens has been successful and the sense of community fostered by those included has drastically improved. As a result it has been decided that the project will go nationwide. While this may not be effective in the short term, the regular maintenance of these gardens will allow a buffer in the event of future crises. Ration programs will not be lifted but these gardens will allow for people to produce and obtain food without charging their ration cards, which will help to prevent hunger in the wake of a shortage.

Election Season Officially Underway
The official Election Season has begun. The thirteenth election is to be held this October, and candidates were preemptively selected by competing parties. As a result the current majority, The Communist Party, have been active in their grim reminders of life without Community. Party Leader Joseph Reinbach, a prominent figure in the Communist Party and second in command to P.D.L. Cannon held a rally in the Province San Dire where he detailed the suffering that was caused by capitalist and fascist leaders in Ilesland.

“It has been less than a year since our eastern border was rescued by President Janssen’s Reunification Effort. This effort brought an end to the fascist dictatorship of the East, and welcomed them into a socially progressive, though still heavily flawed, modern system. The East and the Civil Military were brutal in their regime, revoking healthcare, food, water, and shelter. They took land from the people and the workers to serve their guards, and they killed families who stepped in their way.
But the I.C.M. is not the only form of brutality we have faced. Fascism and Capitalism are a united force. The capitalist will not rest until they extract you for every bit of the labor you produce, leaving you broken, poor, and tired. When Market Economy was brought to Ilesland, replacing the feudal system, we saw great growth. The efforts of capital in the 1800s through the Duocratic era brought Ilesland together. But it has been decades since capitalism served the working people. Not just here, but abroad as well, the efforts of capital and of endless growth leave our Urth broken and divided. The poorest of our people were left to die in the streets. The rich lived in lavish mansions, drinking champagne while laughing at the serfs below. The world has entered a new era of feudalism, where the poor stay poor and the rich get richer. The system of capitalism requires unattainable levels of constant growth to stay alive. The Communist Party, and Dear Leader Cannon, have rescued Ilesland from this threat. We can live and sleep well knowing the rights of all people are secured. But our party won’t rest. Not until the system of capital is destroyed around the world. We must usher in the dawn of a new era, one of peace, one of unity. Ave Operarios.”

Ministry of Agriculture, Commerce, Continue Mitigating Food Crisis
The Ministries of Agriculture and Commerce have continued, with great success, to mitigate the threats of food shortage. The Garden Project continues to be implemented in cities and towns across the country, providing future-proofing against shortages. In the short-term the Commerce Ministry has advised the Councils to continue enacting rationing programs and purchase limits on all necessary products to ensure equal distribution of resources. While provinces that have already begun to see effects of food shortages may continue to be threatened, the more well off provinces are expected to be donating excess resources. If you are concerned about your province, check the map below.

Attack in House Triumvirate
In a recent meeting a group of attackers entered the House acting as witnesses to the hearing. They then opened fire into the crowd of officials, shooting ten and severely injuring four. The gunmen were shot and killed by Capital Police only minutes after entering. The event has caused a temporary lockdown of the H.T. to add new security measures. The President, who was not present at the meeting met with INN to discuss the attack.
“It was crazy, really, to see such violence in one of our houses of government. It has been a very important moment for us to realize we were in serious need of better protection. I wish everyone involved the best, and hope my colleagues who were injured can recover quickly.”

Cooperative Company Fraud Rises
Another unnamed co-op was found guilty of fraud yesterday. These results come as little surprise to many members of the Communist Party who claim that the idea of cooperatives is inherently capitalist, and as such subject to rampant corruption. Despite these criticisms PDL Cannon is standing by the companies, touting their operation as a show of freedom of economy.

Military Testing Increases Once Again
The IAF have once again begun extensive weapons testing, as well as ramping up production of military equipment. The Ministry of Commerce has approved three factories to begin weapons and armored vehicle manufacturing as the Socialist government continues it’s promise to protect Ilesland against the invasion of capitalist forces. The president has called these measures “simply precautionary” and claims they are only to act as defense against foreign threats. Members of the Conservative Party have called these tactics “reactionary” and a “clear intent to cause violence and war”. While Party Head Olivia Lynne has not spoken about her thoughts on the increase in spending and manufacturing many concerned citizens have petitioned the IAF to stop the weapons deal, siding with the Conservatives in the anti-war effort. Speakers for the Majority Party have not made any comment on the current events.
