Ilesland National News Official Candidate Interview #1
In preparation for the upcoming Election Months beginning in August INN has held an interview with the Party Heads of both the INCP and new Conservative Party. This story will continue to evolve as more interviews are held, so stay tuned to INN for the best in news and information.
We first met with the minority Conservative Party Head Olivia Lynne at the House of the Ministry of Agriculture in rural Villerona to discuss her views on current events and issues. We asked her six questions, these are her responses:
- What do you have to say about PDL Cannon’s recent restriction on the live play “The War Cow” for being Capitalist Propaganda?
“Freedom of speech and freedom of arts should be decided by the people. If they do not like a play, they will not attend it.”
- What are your thoughts on the recent State Press Act?
“This act need to be removed, or rewritten to allow for truth in reporting”
- With the PDL’s alliance with communist Kurkistan being our main imports of both oil and stone, how do you plan to maintain relations after dismantling the Socialist Union?
“By creating negotiations that would benefit both sides to ensure that people have all the resources they need to live a good life.”
- Do you support the Five Rights bill passed by the INCP?
“No”
4b. Do you wish to elaborate on why?
“No”
- If you were to win how would you intend to protect the people against the injustices inherent in corporations and capitalist countries?
“You do have to have regulations and there would be regulations to protect the people and environment”
- The Royal Courts have stated in recent cases against Gray Faction members arrested for the protest in Braos that there are no legal protections for speech, protest, or political belief. During your presidency would you intend to construct a set of protections for these classes?
“Corrupt governments need to be kept in check by the people who elected them. Riots that affected the citizens should be dealt with harshly, however I do intend to protect both speech and peaceful protest”
As some may be aware the President as well as a handful of Ministers and Sub-Ministers have been off the radar for the past few weeks. INN has been unable to get in contact with INCP members during this time, creating a bit of uncertainty. However, when we reached out to the INCP for this interview we were given a time and place to conduct a meeting with the President. During that he assured us that the brief radio silence from him and select cabinet members was an intentional part of a small scale restructuring plan. While this plan is still currently underway for reasons of National Security we cannot discuss details of the Plan, nor disclose the location we met the President at, but will be sure to inform the public as soon as possible.
We asked PDL Cannon six questions similar to those given to Mrs. Lynne. These are the responses:
- With the recent decision to restrict capitalist media how do you feel this could affect public relations in the coming Election Months?
“Well quite simply I don’t feel this will have any great affects on those who are paying attention to the resounding growth and power of our new government. Conservative figureheads may try to call it oppressive but the show that sparked all of this, War Cow it’s called, was a dramatically vile misrepresentation of our government and our economy. I do not see a problem with foreign entertainment, even that produced by countries still operating under Capitalism, I only take issue with shows that intend to misinform or misguide our population.”
- Many members of the Conservative Party have accused the INCP of being an authoritarian state, claiming the move to further ‘regulate media and entertainment’ is a breach of civil rights. Do you feel as though these actions are in violation of our civil rights?"
The Conservative Party is nothing more than a set of reactionaries who don’t want to accept that my system is out preforming them in all things. They will use any scare tactic or buzzword filled speech to mislead the impressionable and the ultra wealthy who are angered by their loss of power. Not only did I sign the Constitution that is designed to prevent tyranny, I continue to create similar acts to protect our rights. Meanwhile they are trying to remove those same bills. Just this week I was told Mrs. Lynne has been telling anyone who will listen that I plan to take their guns! Not only is this ridiculous because firearms are protected under the Courts, but we are forming our system after the act of Marx who very clearly states ‘Under no pretext should arms and ammunition be surrendered; any attempts to disarm the people must be stopped, by force if necessary’. Any critique rallied against us by those corrupt people are either a projection of their own ideologies or a complete fairytale."
- The Royal Courts have stated in recent cases against Gray Faction members arrested for the protest in Braos that there are no legal protections for speech, protest, or political belief. During your presidency would you intend to construct a set of protections for these classes?
“Freedom of speech is one of the most important things a collective can have. The Gray Faction were arrested for attempting to overthrows a Council and remove themselves from the Union. I do plan on making speech, protest, and politics a protected class in the coming weeks, and will continue to make strides to a freer and more equal Ilesland for all involved.”
4.With our presence in various Communist alliances do you fear that these countries may interfere to prevent Conservatives from taking a victory?"
Absolutely not. The Conservative will lose because their plan is to destroy the very works that made us stronger, to take away the unity in the workplace, and to cement our nation as a safehouse for the ultra-rich who seek to abuse our people. None of our allies will interfere, and I will personally make sure of that."
- After the Braos Conflict how do you plan to continue to manage and prevent extremism in Ilesland?
“We have a very capable and robust police force, who implement social policy and create safe communities to help maintain the peace, and a strong Homeland Defense ready to stand up to any potential terror groups trying to tear us apart.”
