Unfortunately due to unforeseen PC issues (The graphics card blew up) I will be on a prolonged hiatus until further notice. Hopefully this will be fixed in the coming weeks but I’m posting here now incase I can’t get my PC working soon.
EDIT: Rather I should say that I will be posting when I can get onto one of the two remaining working PCs here. But I may be slow in responding so until I say otherwise here, I’m going to say I’m on hiatus until the PC problem is fixed.

My brother’s computer happened to gave up the ghost in the early hours of the 13th day of this month (although bad luck is associated with Friday the 13th) out of all places.

It was. I was expecting to have to wait for a new graphics card but luckily a computer parts shop had a desirable model right in my budget so I managed to get the PC back up.
In fact, he was given a more powerful version of the one he was expecting to buy.
Unbelievably, I’ve broken the PC again! This time the CPU cooler bit the dust after I broke the mounting pins trying the clean then refit it. The rest of the PC is fine but until I can get a new CPU cooler it will not be switched on for long periods of time. Hopefully this will be fixed by tomorrow local time by the earliest, middle of next week by the latest. If not, I’ll be using my PS3 and cellphone to post. Which is slow and RSI inducing…

PC is stll down. Im getting a new cooler hopefully tomorrow as my DIY isnt woring as well as I hoped.
He might return later today btw. He’ll explain himself.
Well, I’ve fixed my PC. Sort of. I’ve improvised a mounting with some cable ties pulled really tightly on the cooler and carefully monitoring the whole thing with CPU temp monitoring apps. So far so good. But don’t be surprised if I disappear off the face of the Earth again.
