# Notification from the Magisterium

In accordance with Article I, Section 2 of the Concordat of the East Pacific and Section 4.5.2 of the Standing Orders of the Magisterium, the Provost of the Magisterium hereby notifies the Conclave of the passage of [[A-2024-34] Amendment to the Concordat](https://forum.theeastpacific.com/t/a-2024-34-amendment-to-the-concordat/18283/3), containing the following proposed Concordat amendment:

> 
> Each Resident shall not be tried twice for the same offence unless new and compelling evidence has been presented to the Conclave nor forced to self-incriminate. Residents shall have the right of representation by adequate counsel to enforce these rights. Residents shall not be denied the right to representation as limited by statutory law.

The Conclave is now responsible for administering a referendum of the citizenry to determine if the proposal is accepted as an amendment of the Concordat.
