Well this just proves how much of a joke the peace prize is. They awarded it to him for his foreign policies, which are the shittiest foreign policies I have ever seen. About as shitty as bush’s and clinton’s. My life has been filled with horrible presidencies.

He hasn’t actually started any wars, yet. That’s a start.
No. He’s been president for less than one year and recovered only slightly from a Bush-like approval rating last month. We still have ways to go before he’s “enshrined”.
Mr. Obama will always be less popular than he was when he was elected. If he’s a bad president, he’ll screw things up and offend a lot of people; if he’s a good president, he’ll have to make a lot of hard choices which will also offend a lot of people. Either way, his approval rating never had anywhere to go but down, which is something that I think he knows. This is why him getting the Nobel prize is so puzzling. For the most part, we’ve all come to accept him as a real person and not a mythic ideal, so it’s strange that the Nobel committee seemingly can’t.
Tbh, he hasn’t done anything to not earn it. Don’t know too much on his foreign policy though. Mind you, who else deserves it this year?

Guys I got curious about the previous winners and really though I disagree with Obama getting it and the grounds they cite, for the first 20 or so years it was given it was for and they were pretty weak, most of them were because some Euro dude Started or Joined or was honorary secretary of some Peace Club, really weak.

Obama took office in January. The balloting for the Nobel Prize is done in February.
Face it. He was given the prize because the Swedes Scandanavians are just so happy he isn’t Bush and he managed to be Black and get elected in a country most of them view as some sort of demon realm.
I’m pretty sure he knows it. His conscience is probably shouting “give it back!” But… it comes with a bag of money that he gets to keep for himself. Kinda hard to turn down a prize that comes with a bag of money.
