Operation Conquer Gondwana

Locklyn knew that The General had used conquering Tranquility and Harmony Province on the east of Lazlowia, southeast of East Malaysia and north of the Oan Isles proper to gain incredible power. They had played into his hands and lost respect and credibility. He held a scorn for Ese Ulua. If he hadn’t supported the General, we would not be here. If he hadn’t left, thungs may have been different. Had Ese Ulua supported or known the expansiveness of the plans he had in mind. While they stood to expand Oan territory, they had the possibility of allowing Oaluoa to become a dictator over a vast area. While Harmony Province and Tranquility Province had existed in theory, they were a military occupied zone that should be better refered to as “Oaluoaland”.

He was tired of his indecision and called an emergency meeting of the Cabinet. He imparted upon them the information that Kiahueni had shared with him and his analysis thereof. He decided that all funding to the segment of the military that was occupying Tranquility and Harmony Province must cease with immediate effect. All control must be ceded to Major Kiahuaeni Luawuye, who would henceforth receive the title of Admiral.

The Special Ops Unit of the National Intelligence Agency would be deployed to rescue Celeste Uataka and capture General Oaluoa Uye under the command of Admiral Kiahuaeni Luawuye effective immediately.

Kiahuaeni had received an update on what Locklyn had done. Her small team congratulated her. She watched as a small squadron of helicopters flew in. They made a loud noise as their rotors spun and spun the air and churned the soil. The officers sent by Locklyn Le Roy identified themselves and she began to form a strategy on how to capture Oaluoa Uye.

Her team was well equipped with night vision, machine guns, grenades, experimental electromagnetic pulse generators and other fancy gadgets and powerful electronic trickery, but the fight would be intense and she had to arruve unexpected.

She called The General and offered to meet him on the bridge of the TOIS Salvation, the Commonwealth Class nuclear air craft carrier, at present the Oan Isles’s only active one, and deliver her limp carcasse. He was overjoyed with her reply.

He thought to himself, “Maybe she can be my Empress after all”.

Her helicopter landed on the deck in her helicopter and strode out like a goddess. He invited her onto the bridge of the ship where they spoke.

The General, “So you did what I asked you to?”

Kiahuaeni replied, “Yes. You will see her body soon enough. She was weighing down the helicopter anyway”.

The General said, “You have been at my side for long enough and you deserve to be rewarded”.

He opened a cupboard and pulled out the clothes that had horrified Celeste Uataka. He pulled out the diamond studded ermine and silk winter and summer costumes and crown of the Emperor of Heaven.

“What’s all this?” She asked.

“These are the Royal Costumes of Your Imperial Majesty”, he said.

“Excuse me?”

“I know you’re not into the decorum. But I wanted to conquer the Pacific and Gondwana as your empire. I will do the actual running of the empire and you will act as a figurehead for which all 120 million Oans will live to serve. You will be free to adventure as fits your Imperial Majesty”.

She saw the mark that was placed on his right arm. It was actually a tattoo of a circle with plumes of smoke or clouds coming from the top of it and surrounded with a strange script. She had seen the tattoo on a number of the people at the party and on some soldiers, but had never taken head of it.

He said, “This is the sign of the Order of Heaven”.

Kiahuaeni replied, “What’s that? Is is a Maxémon club for the great and rich?”

She was trying to lighten the mood and hide the trembling in her voice with some dry humour. He simply smiled.

“It is an order of some of the most powerful people in our country”, he said, “Who want to restore the great Empire of Heaven that once ruled our nation. Conquering the Pacific and Gondwana would assert our power. Aren’t you tired of a weak government that fails to act, thay failed to save your friends when they were weakest, when they were being consumed by drug addiction. Aren’t you tired of a culture that encourages weakness and immorality?”

She looked at him in horror. She hid her emotions behind a cool and steely gaze. He had lost it. Lost it to something heavy.

She replied, “You have been a friend, mentor and a father. I respect and admire you. I hope that you will forgive me”.

She pulled out a gun and pointed it at him.

“You under arrest for conspiracy to commit treason. I am taking control of this boat, indeed the whole pond as per the directive issued by the cabinet. Come quietly and this won’t be painful”.

He was shocked. Then he was angry. Then he laughed. He laughed and laughed. She looked at him in horror.

“Never trust a woman”, he muttered.

He quickly pulled out and blew a poison dart at her. Her hand fell to her side and her arm became limp. She used her last bit of strength to shoot him in the shoulder and scream for help. The General screamed in pain and fell to to the ground. Some officers had heard the noise and ran to see what was wrong. They scuffled to help the two. She simply heard faint and distant yells and the world became blurry and she collapsed on the ground and was surrounded by darkness.

Helicopters flew in and surrounded the TOIS Salvation. The Special Ops Unit that been sent to capture Oaluoa Uye exchanged fire with the soldiers on board. There was confusion about who was fighting for who. Gun fire shot at the rotors of one the helicopters. It spun and crashed on the sea, where it sank into the cold and deep blue. Magnetic bombs were thrown onto the deck. They sent an electromagnetic pulse into the circuitory of the ship and temporarily and mildly stunned the soldiers.

The special ops unit took the opportunity to come onto the deck. They fought with the soldiers. The guns of the ship were temporarily disabled. They took advantage of the situation to land their helicopters. They kicked and punched. Hit and stabbed. Shot and got shot. The soldiers had been dramatically weakened and eventuallt surrendered. They managed to rescue Admiral Kiahuaeni and capture General Oaluoa.

Operation Conquer Gondwana proved a tumultuous time for the Oan Isles. It tested the institutions that existed and questioned thepeopl who filled them.

Locklyn Le Roy knew that he had to give both the people and the international community answers. He prepared a televised address to summarise the action that would follow and the discoveries that were made. He felt resentful that he had to run the country while Ese Ulua was running around who knows where.

He appeared almost gaunt in the dim light in the drawing room in the Defender’s Official Residence. He had temporarily occupied the space while Ese was gone. He sat at the bureau putting his thoughts on paper. His speech writers would take of making them a proper speech.

The writers were preparing the speech. It took them a few hours to complete. The presented him with the final draft. He quickly skimmed over it and was satisfied that nothing damaging was added nor essential was removed.

He stood before that National Assembly. Eager members hung on his every word. His critics sought to dissect every word and spit it back at him. Such is democracy. These are the main points he made are as follows:

  1. Oaluoa Uye discovered islands to the north of the Oan Isles that currently form the Provinces of Harmony and Tranquility.
  2. He kept them a secret and conspired to colonise them.
  3. He was part of a secret organisation called Order of Heaven. It was made up of rich and powerful people who conspired to depose the current political system and replace it with a weak monarchy and an autocratic political leader, who would him.
  4. He used his political power to amass resources for the armed forces to colonise the islands to the north of the Oan isles.
  5. He told the Cabinet about what he had done. We disagreed with the way he went about it, but we thought that the benefits far outweighed the risks. We did not know his plan.
  6. Ese Ulua instructed each minister to draft and carry out a plan as per a set of instructions he gave.
  7. My job was to sort out any disputes with The Staynes Caltharus Empire, which held some islands there.
  8. I was preparing to go to Sani Bursil to sort out the problems when I was told that General Uye planned to expand to Gondwana.
  9. I decided to cancel the trip.
  10. I had to deal with Celannica and Setzna, who had an interest in the matter. They had learnt of this before we did, so it was shocking.
  11. I went to Ese Ulua to consult with him.
  12. He left a note on the Fridge saying that he had gone to Tretrid and put me in charge.
  13. Celeste Uataka decided to go to Harmony city to investigate the expenses of the construction and other projects.
  14. She went to question him.
15 He divulged his plan to her.
  15. She went to her jet to leave.
  16. She was arrested by his soldiers and put in an apartment in downtown Harmony.
  17. She sent a distress call to Major (act. Rear Admiral) and now Admiral Kiahuaeni Luawuye.
  18. Admiral Kiahuaeni had had been asked by Genera Oaluoa to kill Celeste
  19. She decided to rescue Celeste Uataka instead.
  20. Celeste had managed to organise a transport to go back to La Rochelle.
  21. Kiahuaeni notified us of the situation.
  22. We promoted her to Admiral and transferred control of the islands to her.
  23. We sent special ops agents to assist her in rescuing Celeste and capturing Oaluoa.
  24. Oaluoa had been frustrated because he was running out of money so he asked Atlaesia for money.
  25. He had received 500,000 karubles from them.
  26. He was aboard the air craft carrier Salvation.
  27. She went on and deceived him that she had killed Celeste when he didn’t.
  28. He divulged his plan to her.
  29. She unveiled the truth and ordered him to surrender power.
  30. He poisoned her and in her last moments of consciousness shot him.
  31. Our special ops managed to defeat his soldiers and rescue her and capture him.

We discovered the following things:

  1. Oaluoa had not done this alone, but with a group of rich individuals.
  2. There are soldiers who were working for him.

We resolved to do the following.

  1. The soldiers and conspirators will be captured and tried.
  2. The Order of Heaven will be disbanded.
  3. The new Treasurer will be Kia Uye.
  4. The Western Fleet will be moved out, the First Coast Guard fleet will move in to complete the withdrawal process of military manpowet and capital except in defensive roles.
  5. All powers will be transferred to a civilian caretaker government.
  6. The colonisation of The Pacific and Gondwana will continue. It will no longer be led by the military, but by civilians.
  7. An agreement with Celannica, Setzna and Stratarin will be reached to maintain peace and regulate trade
  8. The armed forces will be reformed to prevent this from happening again.
  9. We will investigate all politicians including myself who were part of or failed to act and bring them to trial.

He ended of with this;

We will colonise the following.

Kiahuaeni went to church. The past events had really rocked her world. The country was coming tto terms with what General Oaluoa Uye had done. She needed to bring herself to understand what the changes she was experiencing meant. She was an Admiral. She held the highest rank in the Navy of the Oan Isles beneath the Marshal of the Sea. She had lost a mentor and had questioned whether her home was as she perceived it. She sat in one of the benches and looked at the rose window that let in colourful lighting into the large space. A man in a tracksuit greeted her and she shyly greeted back. He sat next to her and they started to talk.

“Good morning, my child”, said the elder man, " What have you come to seek?"

Kiahuaeni was off put by the question and said, “I’m just gathering my thoughts”.

She did not want to talk about her feelings and problems and tried to end the conversation as quickly as she could. She looked down andd bowed her head. She closed her eyes. While she knew that she was rude, she merely wanted to be alone. The man kneeled before the alter and prayed. He prayed in archaic Oan. She lifted her head and watched him. She felt as though she was floating in the air, but she felt fixed to the chair and was unable to move. Then she felt she was hit by something, but it wasn’t painful. She looked up and the man was gone. This happened for a moment, but it felt much longer. It was full of something deep, but she could only grasp at straws on what she had experienced. She saw the church doors close and ran after the man. She didn’t know what she would say or do, but she wanted to go to him.

She finally arrived at the door and saw him walking toward the cafe across the street. She ran after him and yelled for him.

" Excuse me sir. Excuse me!" she said.

He turned around and said, " I will see you here tomorrow morning".

She went back home. She was staying in a sizeable penthouse back in Port of the Rock. She came back from Harmony Island and was far happier than she had been for some time. Many years ago she had been living in the Gutters: the foul under belly of the city, where its least appealing characteristics were displayed. Fast forward to the future she was walking around her penthouse 200 floors above her old decrepit home. She was offered a panoramic view of the city and high ceilings, teak wood floors and a fantastically huge and full fridge. She was supposed to be happy, to be ready for the call of duty on a hefty salary. She was restless. She cleaned and cleaned. She polished the house. She scrubbed the nooks and crannies with a toothbrush. She tried to sleep, but she couldn’t. She walked and paced and tried to get back to bed, but her eyes were stuck open.

Above the Ocean, heading to Oan Isles

Wolfe N. Stien, dressed in a white overcoat with a bit of crimson, a peaked hat, and in a pair of black jackboots, was sitting in a government stealth helicopter that was taking him to the Oan Isles to meet with the Oan ambassador. The discussion would be between the recent expansion of Oan Isles into Gondwana and their relations between the two countries. The Celan Minister of Foreign Affairs only hoped that everything would go right for his Empire. . .

(OOC: Where should we meet at?)

— End quote

Well we should have either met at the Oan embassy in Celannica or the residence of the Supreme Court, since I was requesting an audience, but I should have used the appropriate diplomatic language, my bad.

Official Communication of the Oan Isles
To: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Empire of Celannica
From: The Foreign Office of the Oan Isles

Dear Wolfe Stien

We cordially invite you to our capital La Rochelle. You will be met by a guard of honour at The Rock Air Force Base then arrive at the Tower of Freedom, the headquarters of our government. You will be free to use the lodgings in the Celan Embassy on 18 Diplomats Road, La Rochelle, although we would prefer to accommodate you in the luxury guesthouse along the beech. We shall meet in the Tower for a dinner and then discuss these matters.

Sincerely
Locklyn Le Roy
Foreign Minister and Defender pro tempore

As Wolfe N. Stien landed onto the Rock Air Force Base, a guard of honour appeared unto the Minister and asked if he should reside in the Celan Embassy or, more preferably, accommodate into a luxury guesthouse on a beach. Wolfe immediately went with the guesthouse option as he knew that it would satisfy his Oan counterpart. While being escorted into the beach via car, the Minister jiggled through the papers inside of his suitcase that he believed would pique the other Ministers interest, and while he waited, he rehearsed his lines and the possible questions in his mind until he reached the guesthouse on the beach. To his surprise, the Oan beaches were a lot more nicer than his fatherland’s beaches, but he quickly lost interest as he concentrated more onto what specific words he should say to the Oan Minister. When the car finally stopped unto the guesthouse, he exited the car and entered unto the luxury guesthouse graciously offered by the nation, and he proceeded to wait inside until dinner time came. . .

Locklyn le Roy invited Wolfe Stien to the Defender’s Official Residence in Downtown La Rochelle for dinner and a cultural presentation before official talks began. In the invite, he said that the driver would take him to the DOR at 17h00.

(Let’s fast forward to the meeting)

EDIT: Oan roads are catastrophic. They are well maintained, but they are a maze. Most foreign dignitaries arrive at a particular destination, but seldom know how they got there.

Kiahuaeni arrived at the Church the next morning. She pushed open the heavy doors and walked down the aisle toward the altar at the other side. She sat in the front bench and waited for the pastor to arrive. She heard footsteps and turned quickly, ready to engage a would-be aggressor in the way that she had ben taught in the military. It turned to be the Pastor , after all. She lifted his hand to her forehead and he lifted her hand to his forerhead. This was a common greeting in the Oan Isles among people of different genders.

They sat down on the bench.

“There are many things that trouble your heart”, said the Pastor, " but you came here to find… something. What exactly are you looking for?"

“Well, pastor, you’ve heard of the disaster with General Oaluoa Uye and his arrest?” She asked him.

“Unfortunately I have”, he said, “Things do happen. Such is the way of life, but what is important is our response”.

" Yes, sir", she replied.

He asked her, “Have you of Jesus Christ?”

She replied, “Vaguely. I didn’t grow up in a religious household, so religion has not played a large role in my life so far. I see people come in here and look happy when they leave, so I was curious as to why that is”.

“Well, my child”, he said, “from what I have seen over the years is that man is always trying to do things himself and according to his understanding. The problem is that man is very limited in many areas. He only sees so much, understands so much and can only reach so far. We formed families and friendships to cross that gap, but people are just as flawed and limited as we are, so they disappoint us. When you rely on something bigger than you that you can trust, that is greater than you that does not change its mind or loose its power or lie or make false promises, you stop worrying. You stop wondering about where tomorrow’s food is coming from or the clothes you need to impress people with to gain their favour or acceptance. That is why people believe in Jesus Christ, because he frees them from the things that they experience in the world”.

She replied, " Then why do people lose faith, if indeed there is a God or Jesus Christ, or whatever?"

He said, “Learning about Jesus is a process that takes time and we often find ourselves gaining or losing faith when we fail or truimph over a challenge. It is said in the Bible that the message of Jesus Christ, is foolishness to worldly people; to people who try to bring the world down to their own understanding”.

He wiped his glasses and continued, “I mean it sounds almost ridiculous that we are all, in spite of our good or bad deeds, doomed to be sent to hell. It is even more ridiculous to think that the supreme creator and ruler of the universe, some metaphysical spiritual entity can manifest itself into flesh and die for all people. Miss Kiahuaeni, I saw your name on the telly, if you are looking for a religion, leave”.

She looked at him puzzled. He continued, “If you are looking for a lifestyle, this is the place for you. Christianity is not a religion it is a lifestyle. It’s an everyday process. That’s why it’s not your singing, dancing, sighs of sympathy that save you, it is the blood of Jesus so that no one can boast. That is the premise upon which humans are equal. No matter how great or small, pious ot putrid, without Jesus, you are nothing. You need to ask yourself, what are you looking for? What do you want from this place?”

She replied, “I’ve felt like I’m hanging on a ledge, but I can’t pull myself up. Marijuana, sex and booze, sort of lifted me, but they dropped me lower than I was before every time. Um…”

The pastor said, “You don’t need to have all the answers or even know exactly what you’re looking for or what questions you need to ask. As long as you know firstly, that you need something and secondly, that this place might have the remotest chance of helping you know what you’re looking for and how to get it”.

He continued, " The only thing you need to know is that we are selling a lifestyle not a religion. You can come and sing songs and fill the seats, but that must not be your aim. It should be a part of your enjoyment, but not your aim. Be confused! Just ask and always remember, you won’t know it all and you won’t know it now!"

She looked at him and nodded. She smiled. He was saying something trully weird, at least he knew that it was weird. He gave her a taste of what she needed.

He said, “The state has opened up a platform for people to settle in Gondwana. The March of Faith organisation is opening up a platform for members of its associate and constituent churches such as ours, to start a new life or to open up a path for others to do so. Here is a pamphlet. Good luck”.

Naval Port 02, Cantaz Joint Operations Command, 1841 Hours

In the hangar of Dry Dock 2B, Captain Juzo Hirohito finished painting a jolly roger on the side of his submarine and stepped back to evaluate it.

“What do you think, Shiro?” He asked his Lieutenant.

“It looks… ok? Though our mission isn’t a good one. If we get found, consider our nation’s position in the ACA fucked” Juzo would nod, boarding his submarine by plank. Shiro would look at the hull number on the side of the conning tower which was printed clearly in white, SSN-779.

“We might want to paint over the hull number of the Shīhantā before we go on the op…” Shiro noted, picking up a can of black paint and a roller. He then proceeded to board the submarine and start painting black over the hull number, leaving their bubble head unmarked.

Inside the Shīhantā, Juzo looked over the shoulder of his comms officer. “The Takafuji and Fiji ready for launch?”

“Aye, sir. I’ve informed them that we’ll be ready in max 10 minutes” Juzo would nod and return to his captain’s chair. Shiro on the other hand finished painting over the hull number and returned the roller and paint can. He then climbed down the ladder into the interior of the sub, closing the hatch as he entered. The young and eager lieutenant took his seat at the weapons station and gave a thumbs up to signal all systems green.

“Shīhantā, sortieing to the operation zone” The hangar doors would open and the Shīhantā would exit the hangar. Two other submarines exited from separate hangars and formed up on the Shīhantā, being the lead submarine.

Guys, this expansion is getting out of hand. I’m issuing a freeze on all border expansion since it is getting out of hand. I will have to review how much territory which nations can have.

Are you referring to the expansion of the Oan Isles in particular or to expansion in general. The Oan application for the recognition of its claims was accepted by the Cartographers. Will it be reversed or alteref, if so to what extent? No further expansion or claims aside from those which were posted in this thread have been conducted. The thread is meant to continue like this: (a) resolving disputes with Stratarin, Setzna, Celannica, and maybe Rijelv and the Staynes Caltharus Empire, (b) explaining how the actual colonisation took place and (c) what impact this had on the Oan Isles. I am not sure as tp why you say that “this expansion” is “getting out of hand”. Could you please explain.

Expansion in general, this applies to everyone. The issue is that people don’t recognize that land expansion does not equal power expansion or economic expansion in the short term. It takes years, even decades to turn uninhabited land into economic bases which nations could take advantage of.

The disputes with Stratarin, Setzna, and Celannica should continue, through economic warfare, military warfare, or any other solution the players think suitable. This adds depth to the world of roleplay, and something I don’t want to hinder.

As to the actual colonization took place, that is something that will have to be deliberated on how it was done. As to the Oan Isles, I don’t think it would have any impact aside from restriction of colonizing new land (Which applies to every player right now).

As to the “This Expansion is Getting Out of Hand,” it was the concern of the Cartographers that raised the issue of rapid land expansion by multiple parties. As a result of the expansion, it’s become a bandwagon which other players jump in and try to claim more for themselves. When that happens, space starts becoming a premium on the Roleplay map. It leaves less room for newcomers if they want to partake in TEP’s Roleplay.

Another concept to bring up is that the seemingly “empty spaces” aren’t exactly empty spaces. They can be seen as a strategic asset to other nations, those who prefer to maintain a “Buffer Zone” between the other’s borders. It ain’t exactly handy that your worst enemy is your next door neighbor, so the reasoning of “buffer zones” come into play.

Okay. I understand what you are saying a little bit.

I’m gonna give a personal issue that may or may not reflect other people’s positions on economic strength or political power. I shaped my nation based on how I answered issues. I happen to answer issues in a way that led my NS nation in a particular direction so applied that in roleplay.

For example eco friendliness and pacifism were born out of circumstance, not design. As othet very new people in NS, I felt that the way answered issues and my NS stats applied to the way my nation worked and how I RPed it because they provided a seemingly empirical way of determining where what was heading.

A lot of my roleplay took place outside of the TEP. When I decided to settle into the TEP forums, at least where roleplay was concerned. Translating my nation’s NS history and other info to TEP history and accepted stats has been challenging and as a mod pointed out, ridiculous.

It was also brought to my attention that TEP RP did not necessarily accept external interaction. For example if I received a cash injection from Aquitaiyne to attack a country like Veikayu it wouldn’t mean jack for example. (1) My question is, how can we or what method is available to determine economic power for example without territorial gain? What empirical way do we have to measure where we are in the world? I’m very out of the loop clearly? (2) How are we meant tp teconcile paradoxes such as conducting trade or travelling across large swathes of uncolonized land? I believe common sense is the barometre, but it doesn’t seem bery reliable.

I’m sure this looks like Chinese, bear with me I’m tired.

It is worth mentioning that NS’s RP and TEP’s RP are two seperate things. TEP’s RP does not recognize anything outside of TEP for the sake of a sane continuity/history.

As to determining economic power without territorial gain, we rely on IRL nations to serve as somewhat of a basis for economic development, HDI, nominal GDP, and population.

As to reconcile paradoxes in terms of conducting trade or travelling across the land, we generally view the blank spaces as their own territory until someone or a newcomer claims them. The cartographers are using a biome map to describe the various landmasses. Assume that there are some railways or roads in the blank spaces, abliet third world levels of such logistics. Most trade goes by railway or by ships, so plan accordingly.

OOC Post

Sometimes people may decide to RP the takeover or expansion into an extinct country. This means that the RP isn’t just expanding land etc, there are already people and so on there. Although my rp hasn’t got that far, AAC is based on the expansion into the former Veymar colony. Therefore, the RP is far more interesting and generally you don’t expand exponentially as you have to wait for a neighbour to CTE and then go in. That is what I am doing now, although my RP is also frozen.

I don’t know how much relevance this post is, thought I’d like to say.

Well, I know this should be on the other topic, but NW Cascade is a CTE’d nation. What do we do with it?

OOC Post

Sorry Oan for talking here.
The Moderators and the Cartographers are talking about it. The issue is the cartography team has several maps, and every time someone asks for more land we have to update every single one, and that still hasn’t been fixed. Also, I know NW Cascade is a CTE’d nation, but because it is very large, I don’t know if taking it over is feasible in roleplay terms. NW Cascade is a little shy of Russia, and having a rp just “take over” even a CTE’d nation that large is difficult. I’ve come to realise that landmass doesn’t correlate to power. I’ve kind of had that drilled into my head. Maybe we are going to have to organise a section of NW Cascade that isn’t taken over and is just left. A good 2/5ths or something of the like.

I don’t know if you are roleplaying it, or were, but a nation that large and you’re going to come up against fierce opposition no matter if they’ve CTE’d. This will be in the form of militias, angry citizens, riots, and the like which will make it very difficult to come under control. I’m not sure how different Mexregiona is to the other people who have stakes in NW Cascade or how different NW Cascade is to your countries in terms of social and cultural. If you have a capitalist nation, that is highly conservative and you try and annex for example a military junta that is very oppressed, they will never get along and the only reason they’d remain in your territory is if the claimer is far superior.

Back to your question.
It would be in our best interests if the claimers to NW Cascade discusses it with the RP Mods and the Cartographers. If you haven’t got Skype, you need to get it because everyone uses it as a form of communication and it is very handy. That also goes to the Oan Isles and to everyone who doesn’t have Skype.

When the hour struck at the Dinner hour, the Celan Minister packed up his belongings, locked his guesthouse, and left to see his personal driver who was still in the same place as the Celan had left them. While the Minister originally planned to eat at a local Oan restaurant in order to taste the nation’s food, his driver informed the Minister that his Oan counterpart had invited him to the Defender’s Official Residence in Downtown La Rochelle for both dinner and a cultural presentation. Believing that luck was by his side, the elderly Celan accepted, and after some time of driving what seemed to be forever inside a massive maze (along with some confusion about trying to figure out how the system of roads could possibly work), he’d finally arrived at his designated area. Greeted by both the locals and the Honour Guard, he was soon escorted into the building and awaited for the up coming meeting. . .

Locklyn Le Roy welcomed his guest. They watched the cultural presentation and had a meal.

They left the Second Hall and went to the intimate Reception Room.

They had a succinct discussion on issues of concern. Locklyn put forward the following points.

“Our expansion into Gondwana is a strategic move above all other considerations. The Oan Isles id running out of space and resources. To maintain my people’s standard of living and protect our economy we needed contiguous land to allow that to happen. Secondly, we wished to join the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of Gondwana to access Celan, Rijelv and Rybeck markets, obviously understanding that you wpuld require access to ours.
" Many of our strategic partners are part of the SEPC. We understand that the Fire Pact, which Celannica is the leader of, has a tense and sometimes violent relationship with the SEPC. With that in mind, we would like to sign an agreement with Celannica to maintain a 2,000 kilometre radius around Oan Gondwana in which no non-defensive military hardware may be installed or activities can take place”.
“The Oan Isles will additionally vow not to join the SEPC. No non Oan military ships or planes will be allowed to sail in Oan maritime territory or fly in Oan airspace respectively except in defensive, humanitarian or disaster relief roles”.
“Understand that Oan Gondwana will not act as a transit point for weapons, narcotics, people and so forth, whether or not they are legal”.
" The Oan Isles also promises not to attempt to blockade the Strait of the Gulf of Gondwana or any Celan ports".
“We want a peaceful and prosperous relationship, and whatever qualms your nation has with the SEPC and by extension the ACA we will try to remain neutral. Understand this, the Oan Isles will defend her Auroran allies from attack. We will not use our position to attack Celannica, but we will not allow Celannica to attack Aurora. I hope that I am not ambiguous”.

" On the point of the help that you offered. We appreciate it very much. We had planned to build a pipeline, highway and railway from the Gulf to the Pacific Ocean, but will explore the idea with our allies, before opening up investment from Celannica or any other country for that matter".

“Understand this Mr Stien, we wish that Celannica could be our ally as well and as long as there is peaceful coexistence, we shall be. The Oan Isles will not be dictated to, by any of our friends, whether they are in the FPA or the SEPC or the ACA. We acknowledge only international law, we respect and uphold the agreements and treaties we enter into and we will avoid conflicts of interests, but we will not be dictated to”.

“Captain, we’ve reached our destination. Takafuji and Fuji are proceeding to patrol on their hunting paths, shall we join them?” Shiro asked.

“Aye Lieutenant, Helm, proceed”

“Aye sir, proceeding. Shīhantā, commencing hunting operations and area denial tactics” The unmarked submarine would start patrolling for targets, the crew of the three submarines now acting as a pirate group waiting for prey in the depths of the ocean.
