“Commander Reyna Itryarch?” A nondescript figure said as it stepped out of the shadows. “Forgive my tardiness, I had to be pulled off an Op and told to report here.”
Looking around at those gathered, noting the various nationalities, then looks back at Commander Itryarch, “I understand you are in charge?”
He introduces himself, “my name is ‘Wolf’, that is all you are authorized to know by my government.”
‘Wolf’ reached behind him and pulled out his kit-bag. Once he entered the dropship, he proceeded to expertly gear himself up. Quietly and quickly he was all kitted out in a matter of minutes. Checking various weapons on himself to their state of readiness. Once done he nodded to Commander Itryarch as he sat down in a seat.
Reyna saluted the pilot as they hopped aboard and started up the dropship. As the engines heated up and began to whine, she announced their destination, “Next stop, Northern Oceansend. Buckle up.” The ship lifted and shot out of the hangar and shot away toward Aurora.
Julian looked around the cabin at his teammates to familiarize them. He then looked down at his gear, checking everything. But for most of the flight, he stayed quiet.
Aleksei started donning his gas mask (because, you know, zombies) and mentally began assessing his teammates. He turns to Wolf. “What are your specialties, comrade? Surely it is not classified whether you prefer to stab a zombie or shoot one, da?”
Aleksei straps in. “This is an impressive craft, Commander.” he said. “Aircraft are far from Stratarin’s greatest strength. We might learn a thing or two from Emberwood.”
“This is a dropship like we use to drop international aid. It’s got the same kinds of induction engines as our spacecraft.” The ship shook as it hit high speeds. “We should be over Quartz Fern Coast now.”
“Standing by for touchdown. Soldiers, get your guns ready, they’re saying it’s hot down there.” The pilot said as they banked the craft around to land on the mountaintop.
