((OOC: I think I’ll bite. Won’t promise anything, but I’ll see where things can go.))
Nearby, on the seas
With the summer days waning and bowing to the colder fall temperatures, some vulpine thrill seekers from Vekaiyu were looking to take advantage of the warmer temperatures and make a week of doing some exploring. They had already taken part in some skydiving, sampled some different wines from various nations, and enjoyed some nearby beaches around surrounding nations. Now they were on a boat, somewhere in the ocean, ready to partake in more vacation time.
Enter Ehjy Nivikalo, a fairly well-off Vekaiyun who was one of the many who took advantage of an abundance of private ownership licenses and started his own company. Wristwatches. It was a profession that had been in their family for years, but now he was making good money off of it. The fact that he was surrounded by friends who also enjoyed the finer things in life was a testament to that.
“A toast!” he cried out. “A toast to a sustainable winter and a brighter Vekaiyun future!” Everyone clinked their glasses and expunged the typical short cheers in agreement.
Ehjy sat down and bent his head back, enjoying the sea air. “So what’s next? Fishing? Snorkeling?”
“Well…” the captain said as he came out of the small cabin. “We aren’t going anywhere fast.” He pointed behind him. “Engine’s blown.”
“Then just fix it,” Ehjy replied.
“You know anything about engines?”
“No, I’m in watches.”
“Then don’t tell me how to do my job,” the captain warned. “You all keep going with your little party. I’m going to get on the radio and see if anyone can help us out. Least they can do is tug us to shore.”
The captain didn’t even wait to listen to their whines. He moved back into his cabin and grabbed the radio mic. “This is the Vekaiyun Vessel I.U. Ygorskavi requesting assistance on a blown engine. Anyone out there?”
(OOC: Ya! We got a new member for now lol. Since my nation has been pretty isolated until now, I am taking this as a new nation/species we are meeting.)
*Back at the radio center on Valdar. A rather skinny male Werewolf ran up to the new advisor of the radio center. *
“What is it?” Said the advisor, clearly bored.
“We recieved this radio message coming from the ocean a few miles from here. I thought you might like to look at it.” The skinny Werewolf said. He handed the advisor a piece paper with the transmission on it.
“What is a Vekaiyun?”
“I dont know sir.”
“Interesting… Well looks like this is a new nation. Send the message to the Warchief’s secretary.”
“Yes sir!” The skinny Werewolf ran off to forward the message.
*In the secretary’s office, a female Werewolf was working at the desk when a new message appeared on the computer screen. * What is it now she thought and opened it up. To her surprise it was something interesting. It was a distress signal from an unkown nation! She stood up and walked to the Warchiefs hall. He had just finished his last meeting and was walking out.
“Warchief! This just came in.” She said handing him a print-out of the message. The Warchief read the message.
“What is a Vekaiyun? Well I suppose we should find out… Dispatch a submarine. If it is a new nation or species, then make contact with them. We dont need more enemies.” He said and continued walking.
Well that seems a bit informal for first contact with a new nation but ok She thought and walked back to transmit the message. Upon recieving the message, the coast guard then dispatched a submarine to find out about this strange message and it’s source.
In the submarine.
“Well looks like a normal ship to me… Other than the fact there are fox people on it. Course’ we are wolf people so… I suppose we should help them.” Said the captain looking at the ship through the parascope. He picked up a radio mic. “This is the W.C.S Sea Wolf. We are responding to your distress signal.” He spoke in english hoping they knew it.
Days went past in Dorlania. Government crackdowns were in full swing, there wasn’t a night were smoke from book burnings wasn’t visible. Cronies of the Fascist party, Tanshirts, lead massive raids into innocent homes, bodies being laid out in the steet, was mass chaos. “Captain!” “Oh, yes?” “Gerginshire has been cleared, 243 dead” “Good, now move on to Berkin, and relay this message to Hohe Allgemeine Greunig, okay” “Yes sir!” wonder what it reads
