It is a bad day to be an Automobile owner, once again the Robber Barons of Big Oil have found a way to gouge oil prices an this day. when I was a kid there were no oil price gouging when a hurricane came, or when a storm brewed , or when a seagull farted within a 100 miles of a oil facility, the American, nay all the peaple of the world are suffering because of Greed, Greed in the Production of oil, Greed in the NYSE, Greed in Washington.
I grew up in the 70’s and we should have learned then, we need alternative fuels, but we let big oil screw us into a hole with stable prices for 15 years and now we suffer, Right now we should be driving Hydrogen, electric, Ethanol, or hybred cars, There should not have been a Pure Petroleum car produced since 1990 or at the latest 1995.
Thankfully one day teh oil will dry up, then the middel east will loose its ability to wage war on the west, without a commodity they will burn up all the cash they have maintaining, and then hopefully the west will have its ducks in the same line and we will be stable again.
in my nation, I set my history vague so that I could use it for stories if I needed, one of my major historical points tho was in 78 or 79 my nation began to develope alternate fuels and by the 80’s we had Hydrogen cars we still bought Petroleum and stockpiled it though for the express reason of drying up the Middle east as fast as possible. I wish that the US had been able to do that.
