and here is part 2
 ![](https://forum.theeastpacific.com/uploads/default/original/2X/b/b545a47a4114756187a8968794f462853c7dbf08.jpeg)
I carved on it with a small cheap pocket knife for about the time it takes to watch Walk Hard on DVD.

it is hard to make out the detail so far because the wax is semi transparent, I still need to wark on it a bit. to get the details the way I want them

Looks awesome! Thinking about painting it to remove the transparency?

</div>

that part only took a couple hours as I was watching a movie,

the next step will be coating it in a light powder of Talc, then possibly a fine sand, once that hardens I will put it into a plaster mould and let that harden, then melt out the wax and heat the plaster and pour in the melted pewter

and this was carved from a block of green jade, she was supposed to be Julie from the Maxx,
 ![](https://forum.theeastpacific.com/uploads/default/original/2X/f/fd847f303c663553c8ebfc161aee2aea1056f93b.jpeg)
she is about 3 inches tall, the pixie beside her is smaller,
Julie has been dropped twice by people who are too ham handed so no one touches her anymore.
I carved her in 97.

lol, the statue was my Stone period, the boats my Cork period, and now I am in my Metal period,

funny part tho is one day, some archeologist will find Julie and make some deduction about her being a fertility goddess.

That’s what I initially thought with the jade figure. She reminded me of those ‘mother goddess’ figures one often finds in Eastern Europe from old celts and slavs living in the region.

If you bury it, 500 years later you could cause a conspiracy theory!
