“Oh lookie here now, looks like we got some hotshit pilots challenging us!” The flight leader, Cain, came over the radio. “And he’s challenging the rookie!”
Rhodes blushed as the other two wingmen came over the radio to comment
“Yeah, Rhodes show him your stuff!” Another pilot named Audrey said.
“Hey Audrey! Why don’t you get up next to this J guy and flash him, he won’t be able to do all those cool moves then eh?.” The last pilot in formation named Ralph said in a rude sarcastic voice.
“You wish Ralphie.” Audrey shot back.
“Alright everyone shut your traps and keep off the comms, we need to keep an eye on our scopes and the sky.” Cain ordered. “Rhodes go ahead and play, we got this for now.”
Rhodes smiled and put in more power to break formation. “Thanks Major, I will only be a few minutes.”
Rhodes knowing he only had limited fuel to pull something off opted for a show of precision rather than maneuverability, Rhodes ascended by one hundred feet and aligned his plane over J’s. He rolled the sleek Eurofighter Typhoon - Wikipedia and brought it down within feet of the Mahanionian’s cockpit. “Hiya!” Rhodes said loudly over the radio. “Lovely day we are having!” Laughs could be heard over the comm as Rhodes put in full power and accelerated ahead of the Mahanionian’s jet. He finished with a barrel roll in front of him before returning to a protective formation around the VIP plane.
“Thank you, thank you, I will be here all day!” Rhodes said jokingly to his wingmates.
