[PASSED] Resolution on Legislation Records

I’ve seen AMOM getting his old man-boots a bit grumpy about how the ways our laws are recorded are inconsistent. And frankly, I agree with him a lot on the matter. It’s kinda weird, so we could use some standardization.

At an AMOM’s saying that he was thinking of making a resolution on this, and Bach’s saying that my amendment was a bit of a chunk, I remade it into a resolution. It should have the same effect, only it’s no longer binding.

I know it’s close to law, but the fact is that it’s a resolution and it reads like one most of the time. I think it’s clear that it’s a resolution and not-binding.

As always, comment and tear it apart. Tried to simplify it as much as possible.

I understand the goal, but that’s quite a chunk to add to our SOM.

I’ll try to simplify it further.

Maybe we can make it so that the Provost has to maintain a guide for updating law, which can only be approved by Magisterium vote?

It adds complexity, but only needs a clause or two compared to this thick chonk.

I was actually thinking of doing something like this in Resolution format.

That also works

I know you were thinking of doing it, but I was bored and everything so I did it!

Lemme get a resolution bill drafted…

Changed into a resolution.

Comments? Concerns? Anyone?

No

Looks right.

I don’t have anything else to comment

Two more days for last minute objections. If none emerge, I will motion this to vote.

I motion this to vote, and I require a second.

I’ll second this.

I’ll minute it.
