[TREATY] Non-Aggression Pact with the Land of Kings and Emperors

G’day Magisters,

I’m bringing to you the proposal for NAP with LKE.

Non-Aggression Pact
Between The Land of Kings and Emperors and The Confederated East Pacific

Section 1: Diplomatic Recognition & Diplomacy

a. Government of The Land of Kings and Emperors, as instituted per The Constitution of The Land of Kings and Emperors, and any legal successor to it is hereby recognized as the legitimate government of The Land of Kings Emperors by The East Pacific.
b. Government of The East Pacific, as instituted per Concordat, and any legal successor is hereby recognized as the legitimate government of The East Pacific by The Land of Kings and Emperors.
c. Both signatories hereby declare the will to uphold continuous diplomatic relations between them for as long as this treaty is in place.

Section 2: Non-Aggression Pact

a. Both signatories of this Non-Aggression Pact hereby declare non-aggression between their regions.
b. Signatories may not invade, raid, coup or support any of these actions aimed against one another.
c. Signatories may not commit espionage or any other subversive actions against one another.
d. Military interaction outside of specified territorial holdings shall not constitute a breach of points a. and b. of this section.
e. The East Pacific will not commit any action mentioned in b and c points of this section against any territory under jurisdiction of The Land of Kings and Emperors.
f. The Land of Kings and Emperors will not commit any action mentioned in b and c points of this section against any territory under jurisdiction of The East Pacific.

Section 3: Repeal and Amendments

a. At any time, either signatory may suggest amendment to this pact. Shall Heads of State of both signatories agree, the amendment should go by legal ways as outlined in laws of respective parties.
b. At any time, either signatory may decide to repeal this pact. Shall that be the case, the part willing to repeal this pact, shall inform the second signatory and repeal shall happen immediately upon notification.
c. Repeal of this pact shall not be seen as an act of hostility and shall not dictate closure of relations.

My only concern is that Section 2 repeatedly refers to points a, b, and c, when these points do not exist. I assume they are referring to 1, 2, and 3, but that is not explicit.

I think the pact is pretty cut and dry, aside from the section b and c thing I don’t have any comments.

Ah. Thanks for the heads up! The a, b, c etc changed to numbers when I pasted and I haven’t noticed that.

Yeah seems fine to me.

:+1:

Looks fine, no objections.

I’m fine with it.

cool! i’m all for it

I’m motioning this to vote! (yay!)

Seconded

I’m a bit befuddled by the lack of any explanation whatsoever here.

How did this came about? Why an NAP? Why now? What has been and will be the Executive policy regarding LKE?

LKE actually approached TEP about this in the first place. I think it’s a good way to commit to strong allies without going all the way with a full blown treaty.
