so get this Congress has approved a credit thing to give you $4500 to turn in your old clunker and buy a new car.
so basically what this says to me is all cars will go up $4500.

Tennesee tried to pass a law similarly named a few years ago where ALL cars over 10 years old would be seized and you would recieve $500 for them regardless, so yeah what is left of that 74 plymoth in you neighbors yard.

you see in the Tennessee bill there was no distinction made in whether it was actually a clunker or was a show car. they were all te be seized and destroyed but I bet the guys calling the shots would have saved a few of them for themselves.
the bill died a loud death though I think even Leno came out against it and as I remember the guy who came up with it had a few classic car folk in his constituency and they helped make sure he was run out on a rail.
basically this bill is yet another Epic Fail on the part of this administration as it will simply lure in a bunch of Poor people to sell their cars for new ones who cannot afford a new car.
it will take the automobile from the middle class effectivly killing it, the Car is what created and sustains the middle class, and the people with the money, the ones who make the rules want to eliminate the middle class, they only want the Rich and the Working poor.
