Historical Summary: In 1948, Aitian was discovered by a group of sailors from Aurora. They landed in Astbourne where they build huts to live in. Eventually they got more people from the mainland to set on Aitian, where they were promised a happy and enjoyable life to escape the hustle and bustle. People flocked from all over Aurora, a lot of them were former criminals who wanted a new start to life.

In 1952, the people of the island made a decision to form a country out of it, the country would be a democratic one ruled by a prime minister and their parliament. That was when ‘The Boom’ happened. The economy boomed as people moved in and Aitian became a large mining island. Iron, lithium, copper and gold were abundant and Aitian utilised it to create a thriving place.

Through the 70s to the 90s Dantey, Darby and Letrihourd became thriving economic hubs where large companies went to set up their headquarters and where people came to work in sectors such as heavy machinery and construction, which provided for the ever-growing mining sector.

By the 90s Aitian had become quite rich and populous with roughly ten and a half million people residing in Aitian. The mining sector had pretty much hit its peak as new mines popped up at the same rate as old ones shut down, the boom was over, and the mining sector would slowly decline until 2012. Then other sectors such as the financial and construction sector began growing as the population kept growing.

In 2012, as the world began the transition to environmental protection, Aitian’s mining industry boomed for a second time, now Lithium and Copper were needed more than ever, and companies capitalised on this, and the sector grew. This did lead to an employment crisis where there were too many jobs to satisfy, however this was resolved by automation as jobs were taken away by advance machinery.
