I, Marshal Xabier Andoni Quintana, as representative of the Executive Members of the Salvadorian Junta of Drinnon, formally states our request to join the East Pacific Treaty Organization.

We are a nation of 2.926 billion, desiring better relations with our fellow East Pacificans. We are a stable nation, benefiting from our relationship to the other Salvadorian nations (those being the Salvadorian Delegate of Chodean Kal and the Salvadorian Union of Dalimbar), however my fellow Executive Members and I feel the need for increasing our independence and improving our standing within this region.

Membership Granted

EDIT: I should note that I seconded this application, as a member nation of the EPTO.

After much deliberation and discussion within the senate, The Federation of New Vladistock Island hereby applies for membership into the East Pacific Treaty Organization.

The Federation of New Vladistock Island is a nation composed of three provinces: Heann, Vladistock Island, and Cape Ward. Our nation is a parliamentary democracy, newly formed and under the elected leadership of Prime Minister Zubris Vladenktsy, who played a pivotal role in overthrowing the previous government of Dictator Ward. After a period of isolationism following the revolution, Vladistock Island looks to promote international peace, stability, and equality both economic and political.

Should such a renown member need it anyhow, I’m glad to second his application.

The United Republic wishes to join the EPTO and EPTO/EAF. Runsfield was a member of this alliance but withdrew due to problems our government faced in regard to the expulsion of Kuldon from the N. Pacific.

There has since been a change of government. The execution of President Deitus by the NPO, served to reunify the former nations of the United Republic. While Runsfield has undergone several upheavels in its governance, it is my intent, as president of the United Republic, to bring stability & security to the nation.

My government is prepared to commit its full resources to assit the EPTO, including the combined military forces of its states & territories (and the assistance of its UN nation.) We are committed to the East Pacific Charter and the Charter of the EPTO. Our sole interest is the security of the East Pacific region.

Sounds familiar. I think we’ve been down this road before. Lol. Denied twice. Accepted once.

This is why your application was just rejected:

Your Excellency,

As you may be aware, Kuldon, a territory of the United Republic, was recently banned from the North Pacific. I have been accused of inciting armed insurrection against the government as well as illicitly registering multiple accounts on the messageboard and endorsement seeking. As a result of these accusations, I now face charges in a tribunal of the Order Hereticus.

These events have racked the government in Deitus Prime. Runsfield, as well most of the territories, have declared independence from the United Republic. (OOC: I have basically decided to abandon the game and either give my nations away or let them expire.) To protect the integrity of the EPTO, I hereby withdraw from membership in the EPTO/EAF.

Mr. Secretary General, would you mind elaborating on that point?

What is there to elaborate on, exactly?

Honourable Delegate,

The United Republic has offered its assistance in the defense & security of the East Pacific Region. It is certainly in our interest (as well as your own) to see freedom in the region safeguarded. We can do nothing more than offer our assistance. If you accept or reject this, it is your choice.

It is true that the previous government collapsed after the expulsion of Kuldon from the N. Pacific and the scandal which followed it. The execution of President Deitus by the NPO only served to revitalize the Will of the People and strengthen them in their desire to safeguard Freedom, Security, & Prosperity in all regions of the NationStates World.

A Judicial Review of the matter in the N. Pacific has found that Kuldon does not pose a threat to the N. Pacific and has allowed Kuldon to return to the North Pacific. The tribunal in the Pacific ended with the execution of President Deitus. This government is now under a new adminstration and wishes to work towards greater peace & prosperity, as well as closer relations with all nations.

Despite the pain that our nation feels at the recent actions of the NPO, it is not our wish to see any government overturned. The NPO, in the opinion of this administration, may be the greatest threat to Peace in the Pacific Regions. One dicatorship, however, is still better than the fifty that would replace it, were it to vanish overnight. All we can do is work towards the establishment of democracy and safeguard the freedom that we enjoy where democracy already exists.

I do not operate the EPTO in my capacity as Delegate; I do so in my capacity as Secretary General.

While you may or may not have a valid argument, I’m afraid that, as of this point in time, I cannot accept your application into the EPTO. I originally rejected your first application because you were not following instructions in another aspect of the region, so I felt that such behavior would only carry over into other aspects, such as the EPTO, as well. Then you complied, so there was no longer a problem, and I accepted your application.

But then you resigned your membership, not longer after having it granted to you, and went into this spill about how your were leaving. So I accepted your resignation, and thought we were leaving it at that, only to have you “change your mind” about leaving, and then re-applying for membership. I’m sorry, but I do not feel the EPTO is an organization that one can freely enter and exit at will; we are not here for your sole purpose.

There is a certain standard of conduct I expect with members of the EPTO. If I see a trouble-maker or an individual who is “wishy-washy,” I have a problem allowing them membership into the EPTO, because I have to think of the other members and the organization as a whole and what will be to their benefit; not just that individual nation.

That being said, if you can prove yourself to be able to meet that certain standard of conduct in other aspects of this region (meaning not hounding me about your application in the EPTO), then I may, in the future, reconsider my decision. Until then, my decision stands, because I do not feel you currently meet what I expect of members of this organization.

Thank you for the explanation of the reasons behind your decision. (Although no explanation was necessary and it was extreme kindness on your part to share your thoughts on the matter.) I appreciate your forthrightness and respect your dedication and determination to maintain the ideals of your organization. I only hope that I will one day prove to you that you are wrong in your assesment.

Respectfully,

If possible, the Federation of Lyon would like to join the EPTO, with the support of member-state FPS.

The Democratic Republic of Necromantic Grannies, while a small country, believes very strongly in everything the EPTO stands for. We are not in favor of aggressive warfare but realize the necessity of mutual protection, defense, and security to protect our way of life and those like-minded nations, especially those that make good cookies and brownies. We humbly request membership and if granted, we will send our representative to iron-out any details:

Thank you.

Mr. Secretary General,

The Armed Republic of Drakkengard is a young fast-growing nation with high moral standarts.

We not only desire peace but also understand the need for a strong defence.

After the decision reached in our last public referendum, is my pleasure to request membership on EPTO.

Rest assured that Drakkengard Defense Ministry studied the EPTO charter before proposing the abovementioned alliance to you and our people.

If accepted, a representative shall be sent to discuss the amount of monetary and military resources to be donated to EAF.

Best Regards,

Drakkengard Army C-in-C

Seconded.

As there has now been a second, Drakkengard has been granted membership into the EPTO.

We are ShaKhaC! We follow the Way of the Warrior, we believe that bullies that repress the weak are functioning upon a reflex of fear. We have a religion where people need not fear the unknown, need not fear life, the alternative we show is to be brave and courageous. Repressive governments are reacting out of fear of their population. Bully nations go after weaker nations because they fear that the weak may become strong enough to overpower the bully.

We wish to join because we wish to protect the weak and allow our philosophy to be heard to prevent wars of fear. Any and all battles should be done with the consent of all parties for the love of a good fight. The fearful do not ask permission, they impose their will and we wish to counter their force with some of our own force. Think Aikido, where we are not aggressive towards an aggressor, nor do we back down and we protect the weak and the innocent, when the aggressor makes his move against us, we help him get to where he is going without being rude enough to stand in his way and as a result he ends up on the ground with a broken wrist while we are still urging a peaceful solution. If the bully does something threatening to someone we have decided to protect then we switch to something closer to Ninjutsu and deal with the bully before his fear causes him to damage the defenseless.

Our colony nation of warriors have trained all our lives, similar to the Samurai except each member of our colony is on several training regimes, all the way from hand to hand martial arts (sub-tactical level) to combined forces operations with navy, air force and army (operational level) to diplomatic negotiations with large organizations (grand strategic level).

We seek to serve this organization and are offering our trainings in our philosophy. We graciously await your answer to our membership request.

Greetings fellow nations of The East Pacific. We of Vas Blore wish to join the EPTO in order to better form a union between our new nation and the older nations within The East Pacific.

NationStates | Not Found is a small nation. However Vas Blore has a good economy, many political freedoms, and many civil rights. We wish to enter this union of East Pacifican nations to better understand The East Pacific and to better ourselves and our neighbors in the greater scheme of Nationstates.
