I realize there has been some concern over the Pacific’s “Ordo” organization. I also realize that most of that concern has come from confusion, as a result of the terminology used in the Pacific’s proposal. As a result of the concerns that have been brought before me, I asked for clarification from the Pacific, in layman’s terms. I got one, and I am pleased to report that my interpretation of the Ordo’s intent was accurate.
The Ordo is meant to assist the administrators, moderators, and delegates of NationStates to seek delinquent nations and make sure they are brought into compliance with NationStates rules and regulations, as set forth by the game administrators and moderators, because those administrators and moderators have gotten less-active with seeking such delinquents, and could honestly use some help in that field. (Trust me, I’ve quit flagging offensive telegrams because the moderators refused or failed to do anything about them). The only thing it has to do with censorship is that members of the Ordo seek to censor nations that are not in compliance with those rules and regulations.
So while I understand your concern due to the confusion, I do hope that you will realize that the intention of the Ordo is not negative. But in the event that it does become a negative, you have my word that I will be the first to do something about it, whether that be addressing the issue with the administrators of the Ordo, or simply taking immediate action to remove the Ordo from the East Pacific. But I do not feel it will come to that.
…and even if they do start reporting nations that are too democratic or something, it’s up to Gnid whether to care about it or not.

That’s true. I didn’t think about that. Thanks, Kand. They have no power or authority here. They will be here to help, and we can either accept or deny that help.
That’s very true, Kand, provided that the following section of the Charter is kept in mind:
— Begin quote from ____
1.1.4. The delegate shall be appointed as ambassador of the East Pacific to foreign regions, and shall have the power to make such treaties as are permissible under this charter, and do not violate the individual rights of nations.
— End quote
Gnid has already said that we can either accept or deny their help.
Heh, when I saw this thread, my first thought was: “Gnid, I am so disqualifying your actions on this one…you do not have the authority to demand EP Citizens take showers regularly!”
But then I saw what this thread was about, and knowing I wouldn’t have to worry about my bi-annual bathing festival being ruined, could rest at ease.

lol first of all, just know that I did not develop the terminology they used in the proposal. And secondly, that bit about the “bi-annual bathing festival” is just…wrong…
However, as an afterthought it might have helped if instead of locking the thread that you announced it in at the time. You could have had left it open or opened another thread to hear people’s thoughts or questions on the matter, instead of doing it now.

The thread was locked because it is just an information thread. I do that in several places on this forum. If someone wants to voice their opinion in my direction, they can send a personal message my way, or open a thread in my office. I’m always open to hear what others have to say. And trust me, I got several personal messages. And because of that concern, I sought to ensure that my understanding of the Ordo was in fact the true intent of the program, instead of ignoring the concerns.
