Regarding Recent Developments In West Gondwana
In the wake of the recent conflict in West Gondwana, the Serene Emirate of Sayyed has declared aspirations to annex portions of the Grand Crimpateian Republic through local referendums in two regions ceded by Sayyed to Crimpateia just over one hundred years ago. Despite Sayyed’s defensive role in the aforementioned conflict, these aspirations are the clear product of irredentist and imperialist ambitions from Sayyed and the Federation of the Mirhaimian Realm, and Auravas condemns these actions as such.
Sayyed’s claims to the Crimpateian territory in question are based on revanchist, nationalist rhetoric and seeks to use these claims to disrupt internationally recognized boundaries and violate state sovereignty to push an expansionist agenda. Sayyed’s disruption of stability and sovereignty is made even more clear in its attempt to force these referendums onto Crimpateia while coalition forces occupy the country. Furthermore, Sayyed remains a non-democratic monarchy and as such, any assertions of respect for popular sovereignty are inherently contradictory to Sayyed’s government itself.
Even more concerning than Sayyed’s expansionist and irredentist ambitions is the place of its ambitions within a trend of Mirhaimian neo-imperialism in West Gondwana, only a portion of its imperialist ambitions across Urth, such as its recent actions in Afragola. The Mirhaimian tradition of imperialism in Gondwana extends from its early colonial ventures in the late 19th century to its extremely influential presence in the region in the present day. Only earlier this year did Aldaar, just northwest of Sayyed, cast away its protectorate status and Mirhaimian domination through armed revolution. Mirhaimian dominance in the region persists through its high levels of influence in the Sayqidi government and complete military superiority over any state in the region, practically acting as the main Sayqidi force during the war. It is clear that Mirhaime is pushing for the secession of territories to Sayyed as well as the establishment of WEGU to further its colonial ambitions by empowering its collaborator state and expanding its economic influence in the region.
Auravas stands with the countries of the world in opposition to the neo-imperialist ambitions of Mirhaime and the irredentist ambitions of Sayyed. Auravas, along with the other members of the RCEU, has joined the Norgsveltian Crown Realm, Kaldrbuth, [Western] Atlalandr, Tretrid, Axdel and Vistaraland in a complete containment of Mirhaime and its allies through complete embargo of products from those countries. Only through anti-imperialist and anti-expansionist action will Urth prosper.
