Welcome to the embassy of the Democratic Republic of Ayaupia!
The glorious nation of Ayaupia is a federal and democratic republic located in northwestern Gondwana. With a population of 17 million and a history going back to hundreds of centuries ago, our small and proud country value its traditions of fishing and farming - and its beautiful landscapes of lush forest and green mountains, as well as its rugged and steep rocky shores. We’re pleased to preserve our greatest values, meaning preserving local cultures and dialects by keeping a cultural and linguistical variety inside our borders, while federating the peoples under a democratic government favoring equality and integrity. We’ve chosen democratic socialism (social democracy) as a way to progress forwards and to maintain our federative nature, and as a way to preserve political freedoom and civil rights which are seen as the most important elements to keep alive in a democracy, and finally as a way to sustain equality and social unity which are the foundating themes of our nation. Being made of three different species, as humans, elves and felines, thus peoples, being a federation and socially oriented is the best way to go.
The current reign is shared by three head of states, each representing the three peoples of Ayaupia. They are the Federal Counsellors, forming the Federal Council, the executive, which is elected all 6 years. They are elected by the people and a backing vote of the Tripartite Senate, which gives its agreement on more specific questions, as a way to verify if the political program is respecting the Constitution and will stay under the politics the country is following since more than half a century now. This Tripartite Senate is representing the three constituent countries (Palayonia, Asconia, Nestonia) and each provinces. The constituencies are made for the three peoples, while the 17 provinces keep the various languages and cultural specificities alive, each tribe having its territory. There are deputees elected by the people of each concerned territory. The Federal Assembly is the supreme legislature, where deputees from all over the country from each political party debate and vote laws. The People’s Comittee is the lower house, made of mayors, professors, lawyers and other citizens in a high profession, working as a monitoring institution to ensure the good state of our democracy.
